Since the script is almost finalized, makers are now hunting for a noted heroine opposite Venky. Unit sources confirmed that Shruti is in the top race for the female lead of the film. However, it’s not clear whether Shruti gives her nod.
Since Venky is one of the peers of her father Kamal Haasan and even did remake of Kamal’s Wednesday in Telugu as Eenadu, it’s unclear how Shruti responds. Whether she takes up the offer or turns down. Meanwhile, director Dasaradh said to be keen on having Shruti on board. Let’s wait and see whether this interesting combo works out or not.

Jackpot for Young Telugu Director

After directing Nithiin in Gundejari Gallanthayyinde and Naga Chaitanya in Oka Laila Kosam, young film-maker Vijaykumar Konda would team up with A-lister Allu Arjun. Recently, Vijay has met Stylish Star Allu Arjun and narrated a story-line to which Bunny impressed and given his nod. Apparently, Bunny asked Vijay to develop the complete script.
Bunny is currently busy shooting for the untitled Trivikram Srinivas movie which has Samantha, Nithya Menen and Adah Sharma in female leads. Besides this, the film’s ensemble cast has Kannada superstar Upendra and heroine Sneha in pivotal roles.
Buzz is that Bunny would start Vijaykumar’s film after wrapping up Trivikram’s movie. With this, Vijay said to be working with “double energy” and teaming up with Allu Arjun for his third film is definitely a plum offer at the very early of his career. Meanwhile, director Sekhar Kammula would also be planning a movie with Arjun.

NTR under Intense Pressure

Share
NTR is said to be under immense pressure to deliver a blockbuster as his recent films have failed to meet the expectations of movie-goers. Especially after the duds Ramayya Vastavayya and Rabhasa, fans too are putting stress on Nandamuri scion to come up with a complete package. The recent video of NTR’s fan from Bangalore says that all what fans are expecting him to do.
Adding to this, the delay in the release of his upcoming film Temper keeping his fans on their toes and so the star hero. Considering that Mahesh Babu’s cop saga Aagadu turned out to be disaster and NTR too wearing a Khaki and talk that Kalyan Ram’s Pataas and NTR’s Temper have resemblances are worrying his fans.
Temper is very crucial for NTR for manifold reasons. It’s “now or never” as he’d lose stardom if it fails to enthral and already his peers like Pawan Kalyan, Mahesh Babu, Ram Charan, have crossed him, and stars like Allu Arjun (Race Gurram), Prabhas (Mirchi, Baahubali) too giving stiff competition, NTR has to score big success with Temper to survive.
Only a Box Office blockbuster from NTR could silence his critics, detractors. No doubt, NTR’s talented actor, with multi-faceted singing and dancing talent. All he has to do is to pick right scripts that work. High-octane action episodes of NTR are a bit tiring of late on which he has to focus and tone down the action sequences and add few logics to it. It’s high-time NTR should ring in success in the new year.

Kareena Not Interested To Imitate Friend

Share
Bollywood’s hottest lady Kareena Kapoor has recently shocked producer Ekta Kapoor with her bold decision. The wife of Pataudi has walked out from the movie that is based on former cricketer Azharuddin’s biography.
Actually Kareena agreed to play the role of Sangeetha Bijlani on silver screen. Sangeetha happened to be a hot Mumbai model who dated Azhar when he was India cricket team’s captain despite knowing the fact that he is already married.
Though Kareena liked this role initially, later she realised that reprising that hot role on silver screen will affect her off-screen friendship with real Sangeetha. Also those imitation acts might embarrass Salman Khan too, as Salman and Sangeetha dated for a while.
Anyway Azhar’s biopic hasn’t got any nod from either the former cricketer turned politician or his first wife. But Ekta Kapoor is hellbent on making this flick a reality.

From 5 years, there is no single hit

Share
Scoring hits is quint essential for any hero to stay in limelight and safeguard his market. If hit-flicks are not coming, then happening subjects also run away. Way back in 2010, young hero Varun Sandesh tasted a bit of success with director Sampath Nandi’s debut flick ‘Yemaindi Eevela’.
Since then, this Happy Days hero has seen ten releases in a row but no single hit among them. All these bunches of movies always showed Varun Sandesh as a lover boy trying something new. Never, they evinced interest among cine lovers.
Perhaps all those movies are some stale and outdated scripts that are accepted by Varun Sandesh, as such for remuneration sake it looks. Now in 2015, he is eagerly waiting for his first release ‘Paddadani Premalo Mari’. Will he end the five year drought period at least now?

Anchor Omkar Is Silently Preparing

Share
Making a splash on small screen, Anchor Omkar has become a brand not just a name. With his dance shows turning huge hits, our show host never looked back. But after those dance shows lost sheen, he took it to film direction.
Omkar’s debut directional venture ‘Genius’ flopped like never before in Telugu film industry. Despite tall claims made by him and his writer Chinni Krishna, nothing worked out at box office. That pushed Omkar into a tight spot. What’s his next move then?
Silently preparing for another exam, he is now coming up with a suspense comedy that features seven actors in the lead. Without much hungama, Omkar is bringing out the best in him expecting to get a major breakthrough as a director. Let us see what happens.

Sunitha is now ‘Sumadhura Gaayani’

Share
We have every tinsel town celeb having some or the other ‘tag’ prefixed before their name. These are something audiences attribute to them with love for their work. Coming to case of singers and composers, it is these cultural program organisers who give such awards.
After winning many laurels for her work, here comes Singer Sunitha getting one more such tag. A Guntur based cultural organisation named ‘Alapana’, is now presenting the award of ‘Sumadhura Gayani’ to Sunitha.
Our singer hails from the same city and recently on Sankranthi eve she is present at the Andhra city to render a few songs at the popular Vignana Mandiram. Sharing her excitement, Sunitha felt prestigious to get this award. With a voice that sounds like filled with honey, Sunitha is enthralling Telugu audiences from years with her songs and dubbing for various heroines.

Mahesh Babu Eyes Malayalam Market

Share
After the likes of Ram Charan and Allu Arjun proving their Box Office stamina and set cash registers ringing in Malyalam, it’s turn of Telugu Superstar Mahesh Babu to focus on Malayalam market. Although Mahesh’s previous films too were dubbed in Malayalam and released in Mallu land, the latest is that ‘Team’ Mahesh are keen on publicity, promotions of Mahesh’s films.
As per the buzz, Mahesh Babu’s scientific thriller One Nenokkadine is being dubbed into Malayalam and will be hitting the screens on Feb 6. Already the promotions of the film are on high.
Though Malayalam market size is very small and less than a Crore for dubbed films, heroes seem to have taken it as ‘prestige’ to release their films over there and have fan base in Malayalam.
It’s good that Telugu heroes are expanding their market. Let’s wait and see how the experimental film One fares in Kerala.

Sunil Comes Out Of Heroine Troubles!!

Share
Finding heroines who could share screen with him is always a trouble for six-pack hero Sunil. Probably due to his past stint as a comedian is not exciting our hot ladies to get paired with him. Finally, he is out of such troubles for his latest movie.
Both for Poola Rangadu and Mr Pellikoduku, Sunil picked Isha Chawla as a heroine. For the latter one, he has no chance except to pick Isha again. And for Bhimavaram Bullodu, his selection of Ester Noronha got brickbats. But for Tadakha, luckily Andrea Jeremiah agreed to play aside Sunil.
However trouble continued for him as picking up a hot n happening heroines for his later films became a daunting task again. Coming to director Vasu Varma’s second film that has Sunil in the lead, producer Dil Raju has finally okayed Bujjigadu fame Sanjana’s sister Nikki Galrani as the lead girl. That marks the debut of this hot sister in Tollywood. Seems like Sunil is out of heroine troubles.

Why Blame Shankar Now???

Share
Of late, a trend has been started by cine folks that heroes who took the film are innocent but directors who made it are cunning and out of ideas. When ‘1 Nenokkadine’ flopped, they have abused Sukumar and for Govindudu Andarivadele’s dismal performance they blamed Ram Charan.
Even though a star like Mahesh Babu claimed that a failure belongs to whole team not just director alone, people never stopped blaming Srinu Vytla after Aagadu’s flop show. Same is the case with S Shankar now.
Though many youngsters and families are enjoying the fictional entertainment delivered by Shankar on silver screen through ‘I’, audiences who consider themselves as critics are venting fumes at Shankar. They say that Vikram has done his part well but Shankar failed to come up with brilliant story.
However when a film turns big hit, they call it as a hero’s movie but never give the sole credit to director. Gabbar Singh, Dookudu and Race Gurram successes are always attributed to heroes, though directors get credit that will be quite fewer.
Probably we should stop blaming directors when film flops, as we don’t praise them to the core when a film turns blockbuster. Else, we need to accept the fact that hit or flop is a collective team effort.
