Rubbishing the ongoing rumours that she was behind the break-up between actors Siddharth and Samantha, heroine Deepa Sannidhi set the record straight. She made it clear that her relation with Siddharth is professional and also she hardly know anything about Sid’s “personal life” as he is not her friend.

Kannada actress Deppa, who is making her Tamil debut opposite Siddharth with upcoming Enakkul Oruvan, said, “It’s just the figment of imagination of few. I wasn’t even in touch with him after the film’s shoot got completed. In fact, after the shoot, we met only during the film’s promotion.”

“During the shoot, he was very helpful since this is my debut in Kollywood. But that’s about it. He is extremely professional. And I have no clue about his personal life,” added Deepa. The pyschological thriller starring Sid and Deepa will be released for Jan 25.

Director AS Ravi Kumar Chowdary ferociously slapped his thighs in front of a huge gathering to get back his old recognition with ‘Pilla Nuvvu Leni Jeevitham’ success and he has done it with tremendous ease.  The film introducing Sai Dharam Tej as hero with Regina as heroine did good business at BO. Once this film has got hit talk, there were numerous calls for Chowdary but he did not pick any in a hurry.

As per reports from film circles, Chowdary met personally and narrated a script to young lover boy nithin and got the immediate acceptance. This one will be a romantic comedy and nithin would be the best fit. Currently, nithin is deep immersed in production works of Akhil debut film. Once everything sets in smooth for this high budget flick, nithin will jump on to Chwodary venture to be produced on Sresht Movies banner.

‘Kona And Kuchipudi Telugu Ruchulu’ is what the town of Bapatla will be witnessing soon. And this food chain is owned by two Venkats, the one who is rocking tinsel town with his writings and the other one who is shaking Jubilee Hills with his restaurants.

Famous guy Kuchipudi Venkat who owns restaurants like Ulavacharau and Kitchen Of Kuchipudi has now joined hands with writer Kona Venkat to start a new restaurant. This one will have surnames of both these Venkats and the first shutter will be rolled up at Bapatla. Later, they want to expand this chain to other popular towns in Andhra on a franchisee basis.

Telugu films being remade in Hindi is no longer new trend. Joining the bandwagon, Ram Charan’s recent movie Govindudu Andarivadele is in queue to be remade in Bollywood. None other than choreographer-turned-director Prabhudeva would be helming the project in Hindi if all goes well. According to media reports, Prabhudeva has recently seen the movie and was quite impressed with the film.

Producer Bandla Ganesh admitted screening the film to Prabhudeva but didn’t reveal much on this. It’s not clear who will reprise the role of Ram Charan in Hindi in the family drama. But it is learnt that Prabhu is contemplating to repeat Prakash Raj himself for the role. Apparently, Prabhu quite liked the acting of Prakash Raj in the movie and wants to rope in him for the remake as well. In fact, not many know that Prabhu shares great bond with Prakash Raj and this would also help to shape up the movie well. One need not surprise even if Ram Charan is cast in the Hindi remake as well.

Mr.Perfectionist Amir Khan’s recently released Pk directed by Rajkumar Hiranani is making filmmakers happy breaking all records minting money at the box offices.

However the film is getting surrounded by controversies galore making it lose its sheen. Couple of days back Amir Khan released a statement that he was shocked to see his interview on Pakistani websites in the name of religion and Islam. He said the interview was a fake one published to impersonate him. His legal team already swung into action sending legal notices to all the websites.

Earlier Delhi High Court dismissed petition which sought ban on PK alleging that the film insulted Hindu culture and religion. Chief Justice RS.Endlaw dismissing the petition said there was nothing wrong in the film.

Satish Kalyankar, member of Cenbtral Board of Film Certification (CBFC) claimed that he objected to some scenes of the film but he was ignored by other members. Some Censor Board members even met Dwarakapeeth Shankaracharya Swaroopanand Saraswathi who sought ban on the film PK.

When UP CM Akhilesh Yadav’s office issued statement that Akhilesh Yadav watched the film PK downloading it before taking a decision on giving tax free benefits, Sanjay Sharma,, Founder of TAHRIR (Transparency, Accountability and Human Rights Initiative for Revolution)  complained against UP CM with Hazratganj Police on Jan 2 seeking action against Akhilesh Yadav for the offence of downloading the film from a website and watching a pirated copy of the film.

Prior to that a case has been registered against director,producer and actor of PK at Bajaj Nagar Police station for hurting the sentiments of Hndu Religion on sections 295A,153 A. Renowned lawyer and politician Subrahmanya Swamy announced that he will soon take action under PMLA on Aamir Khan & co for laundering terrorist finance adding that the funds connection to Dubai and ISI must be investigated.

Yoga Guru Ramdev called for social boycott of all those involved in the making of PK. While VHP protested vociferously against the film alleging that it contained many scenes which hurt religious sentiments of Hindus, and even claimed to have written to Information and Broad Casting Ministry demanding curbs on the film, senior BJP leader LK.Advani lavished praises on the film.
