Rakul Preet Singh has finally landed in Jr NTR movie if reports are anything to go by. She will be the lead actress opposite NTR in his next film to be directed by Sukumar. Recently, the makers have approached Rakul for the film and she immediately grabbed the offer. 

It is learnt that the makers were looking for a heroine who was never cast opposite NTR so far and even NTR was keen on having Rakul on board as she is the most happening heroine. Of late, Rakul is going great guns. She is pairing up with Ram in Pandaga Chesko, Ravi Teja in Kick 2 but with joining NTR’s flick she definitely joined the list of A-lister heroines.

“Rakul has many releases in 2014 and most of them are hits like Loukyam. She is considered as lucky mascot in Telugu. Naturally, she is the first choice for NTR’s film,” said a source close to the movie. The shooting will be commenced after NTR wrapping up his present commitment Temper.

Their roles are being reprised by power star Pawan Kalyan and victory Venkatesh respectively. The pattern being talked about is the airing of this movie across the local channels.

After partying in Dubai along with family on the New Year eve, Superstar Mahesh Babu returned to work. He has joined the shooting of his forthcoming movie directed by Koratala Siva. Tentatively titled Sreemanthudu, presently the shooting is going on briskly in Ramoji Film City. 

Mahesh Babu’s introduction song is being shot alongside dancers in a specially erected set in the film city. Noted choreographer Raju Sundaram is composing moves for Mahesh Babu in the intro song.

According to grapevine, versatile actor Nagarjuna is once again gearing up for a devotional role. After his successful stint in Annamayya, Sri Rama Dasu and Shirdi Sai, Nagarjuna this time is contemplating to play Lord Jesus Christ on screen. 

The movie would be directed by none other than master K. Raghavendra Rao. However, nothing has been finalized yet and the project is in nascent phase. It is learnt that the film is under scripting stage and efforts are under way that the film would highlight less-known facts about Christ and his life. 

We hear that this movie would stand out from previous Christ films and the veteran director and actor are planning to make this film on par with global standards. After Shirdi Sai, Nag returned to regular commercial movies with Bhai. With the disaster show of the movie, he is choosing wise scripts and staying away from experiments. 

But it is heard that after a lot of mulling over, Nag opted to play Lord Jesus as he has a lot of confidence on director Raghavendra Rao. No doubt, it’s tough task for Nag as naturally comparisons would arise with actor Vijaychander who essayed Jesus’ role in Karunamayudu.

It is heard that the groundwork for Chiru’s 150th is happening secretly. The storyline has been conceived by the veteran duo Paruchuri Brothers. Added to that, the dynamic writer/director BVS Ravi who hails from the camp of crazy director Puri Jagannadh is scripting and developing the storyline, as per sources.

It is heard that an official announcement of the project would be made only after the entire script is ready and gets its share of approvals. For now, everything is a secret.

Ending speculations to rest, the release date of the most anticipated Shankar’s I has been finalized. Although the makers wanted to release the film on January 9, latest reports say that the movie is arriving on January 14 on the eve of Sankranthi. 

The movie will have simultaneous release in both Telugu and Tamil. Starring Vikram and Amy Jackson in the lead roles, already the film’s trailer and teaser caught attention and expected as a visual splendour. 

Billed to be a romantic thriller, Vikram will be seen three different avatars in the film and his revealed looks in the film have been most talked about. With Pawan Kalyan-Venkatesh starrer Gopala Gopala would hit the screens on Jan 9, Shankar’s I will be releasing on Jan 14.
