Among the bunch of star heroes we have, almost all are trying their hand at every possible subject. So we can’t limit them to one particular genre and flag with lover boy tag. However, producer MS Raju’s son Sumanth Ashwin came from nowhere for a tango on silver screen. He proved mettle with films like Anthaku Mundu Aah Taruvata and his latest ‘Lovers’ is hitting screens this independence day. The young chap is not hustling but still this flick is a litmus test for him to hold the trophy.

Directed by newcomer Harinath, ‘Lovers’ is backed by talented Maruthi who penned story and dialogues for the flick. As the film is releasing on a long weekend, Sumanth Ashwin will have good time to prove the mettle. Also his heroine Nanditha too enjoys huge popularity as native Telugu heroine with splashing charms. Wish them luck folks!

Mahesh Waved Green Flag For Him?

Signing Koratala Siva is a biggest jolt to people who never believed that Mahesh Babu also wants to star in mass-masala flicks. With the principle shooting of this flick getting ready for a start in no time, many are wondering if Superstar is ready to pick another sensation mass director too.

From Chiranjeevi to Charan, Venkatesh to Prabhas and Nitin to Srinivas, every hero got a decent hit under V V Vinayak’s direction. Being a patron of mass films, Vinayak has zeal to adorn Telugu star-heroes as never seen before mass-gods and he often succeeds. He is right now busy with Megastar’s 150th flick, but is also jotting ideas about another sensational project. Some folks mentioned that Vinayak is all set to direct Mahesh Babu, when the latter wraps his next with Koratala siva. As our prince is mulling over the idea of shaping career as a mass hero, he has waved green flag for the mega director.

V V Vinayak is the only mass action director who didn’t worked with Mahesh Babu apart from Rajamouli. Other top directors like Sreenu Vytla and Trivikram Srinivas have already accomplished their mission with Superstar. So let us see if this Vinayak rumour holds good in Mahesh’s case.

Who Will Employ That Job To Charan?

Share

untitled

‘Govindudu Andarivadele’ realized his dream of starring in a complete family drama that is in contrast with his mass-image. Mega Powerstar Ram Charan has that big list of to-do things and we wonder who will employ him with his favorite job.

As he has some nightmares already with it, the young Megastar wants someone who could do the task in most convincing way. Ram Charan’s dream is to score big with Khaki dress but definitely Zanjeer has spoiled the party. Critics across the country have panned the flick as a disaster and also wrote off Charan as an actor.

After pouring hard efforts for months, if result is not fruitful then any actor will feel bad. Same is the case with our mega hero too. Reportedly he is contemplating the idea of playing police officer of Telugu silver screen, but waiting for right director to let him play the game perfectly.

Directors like Rajamouli, Puri Jagan and Sreenu Vytla have successfully directed movies whose central character calls the shots in khaki dress. And others like Vinayak and Trivikram are yet to experiment with police offer roles. Let us see who will first offer Charan his dream role.

Commerce Lessons Needed For Gunasekhar

Share

untitled

Carving out the flick is less important these days as marketing it and creating a brand of it became bigger headaches. Only if a director keeps tab on the trade and pinches them on right occasions, his film will get enormous attention and business.

Contrary to what he should do, director Gunasekhar is not worried about the commerce of Rudramadevi 3D. at a time when similar fantatsy movies of Rajamouli, say Baahubali, are creating records with their sales, Gunasekahr is yet to open gates for his games. There is neither making video, nor any teaser to turn attention of trace circles towards the medieval historical drama.

If Guna is yet to discern the know-how between selling and buying, what would he do with Rudramadevi in the end? Should he first go and take lessons related to commerce, marketing and hype-building? Yes is the only answer. Definitely our director should buckle up shoes to start some start of promotions for Rudramadevi.

Video Talk: Samantha’s Mass Song

untitled

One look at Anjaan/Sikander, and everyone starts raving about Chennai siren Samantha’s scintillating skin shows. Especially she has turned quite mass for a song where she is seen sporting unbuttoned shirts and hot pants. Makers of the movie are now making the best of this tempting song.

Full version video of ‘Ek Do Theen Chaar’ song from Sikander was released the other day. People who have visited this on YouTube are spelling that it’s Samantha’s trendy looks and ‘naatu’ dances al the way. Other surprise is that this song features vocals of none other than Surya in Tamil, while talented Raghu Kunche has crooned for Telugu version. The song starts on a slower note, has enough beats for mass-steps and pours loads of romance into each lyric.

Sikander is due for release this Friday on the eve of Independence Day, and Samantha is expecting a lot from this Linguswamy directorial as she wants to re-enter Tamil filmdom with a bang. Undoubtedly Sam’s glamour show will pay off big and we have to see how movie fares at box office.

Composer Reacts On Aagadu controversy

Share

untitled

Who copied whom and who scored first are the two questions boggling the minds of cinema lovers. As rumors erupted that Thaman copied background score of Aagadu from Malayali flick Avataram, the only way to douse them off is by making the persons involved speak. Otherwise the plagiarism talks holds true at some corners.

Music director Deepak Dev, who scored for Avataram, confirms that his editor has used the sound track of Aagadu as a dummy scoring for the trailer. He revealed that his editor has used that track from online and he doesn’t even know that it is background score of Mahesh Babu’s Aagadu. ‘I’ve not even composed BG score for Avataram yet. Being an enthusiast, our editor used already available tracks online including Aagadu music, to cut the trailer. I’m now aware of it’, says Deepak.

Fans wars have turned ugly with some standing on side of Thaman and others lambasted him with bitter words on social circuits. This is just a trivial thing, but fans overreacted and finally the Mallu music director’s clarity lays rest to every controversy surrounding Aagadu.

The never ending Flop Saga!

Share

Varun Sandesh’s hopes of putting a break to his flop streak have gone down the drain the yet again. His recent release ‘Nuvvala Nenila’ has gone unnoticed. It was among the three small releases that have seen light on last weekend. Nuvvala Nenila managed to get less than ten theaters in Hyderabad while Geetanjali and Gaalipatam got more than twenty.

Mainstream critics didn’t even find Nuvvala Nenila worthy of a review. Varun Sandesh’s career is going downhill with each film and it would be very hard for him to get back in business. He needs some big producers or big directors to show faith in him. Doing small films like Nuvvala Nenila wouldn’t do any good for his sinking career.

Varun still has a couple of films on hand, but he cannot get new offers if this flop saga continues. He was once among the favorite actors of top filmmakers. Now he is topping the list of super flop heroes of this generation. Tough luck Varun!

Superb planning by Junior Raviteja

Young actor Nikhil is known as poor man’s Raviteja. Being a great fan of Mass Maharaja, Nikhil tries to imitate his idol in most of the scenes. He is the only one who is still hanging in there among the Happy Days lot. A lot of this credit should go to his planning. Despite not having any God Fathers or mentors in film industry, Nikhil is going great guns all because of his superb planning.

He made some right choices to become what he is now. After scoring a big hit with Swamy Rara, Nikhil played the waiting game rather trying to cash upon the success. He did a thriller called Karthikeya, which is carrying very good reports among the film circles. He didn’t even sign up for Swamy Rara sequel although he is in good terms with the makers of that film.

Nikhil has signed up for a romantic comedy titled Surya vs Surya after rejecting so many scripts. Karthikeya is due for release on August 22nd. Nikhil is carefully climbing up the ladder and not in a hurry to reach the top. He is aware of the fact that losing grip at this point would push him down, very down!

Naga Chaitanya’s Mega Sketch exposed!

Share

untitled

Naga Chaitanya is very good at making romantic entertainers when compared to commercial potboilers. Recent failure of Autonagar Surya made him think twice about taking up larger than life characters. Chaitanya decided to stick with romance and comedy genres for a while.

Chaitu is aware of the limited appeal of romantic entertainers. He knows that he needs the support of mass audience to get bigger hits. However he can’t risk it again by doing films like Autonagar Surya and Bejawada. So Chaitanya decided to expand his market by entering into Tamil market.

He will release all his future films in Tamil to test the waters. Later he will plan a very big bilingual in the direction of a popular Tamil director. Recently many others tried to do the same but they hardly made an impact in Tamilnadu. Chaitanya’s choice of scripts may work in his favor though. Best of luck dude!

Bellamkonda’s Huge Plans for Younger Son

Top producer Bellamkonda Suresh who has spent a bomb on Alludu Seenu to launch his elder son Bellamkonda Srinivas as hero is all set to produce his second film too. Srinivas’s second film will be directed by Boyapati Srinu. This film is all set to start rolling from August 27.

Meanwhile Bellamkonda Suresh is also planning to launch his younger son Ganesh Babu as hero. Ganesh produced Alludu Seenu and is raring to try his luck as hero. Suresh is planning to launch Ganesh with a project as huge as Alludu Seenu. He is in talks with top directors for the same.

Suresh came to film industry with a dream of being a star. He went to Ram Gopal Varma and asked for a role in Shiva. RGV didn’t even look at Suresh’s face and rejected him straightaway. That incident made him a producer and Suresh is now reliving his dreams in the form of his sons. Great story no?

Ram Charan’s Bumper Offer – Hit One Get One!

Share

untitled

Ram Charan is not hundred percent satisfied with the stories narrated to him for the 150th film of Megastar Chiranjeevi. Mega Power Star wants this landmark film to be a milestone in Telugu Film History. So he is not settling for ‘bankable’ scripts. That is the reason why nothing has been finalized yet for Megastar’s comeback film.

Creative Director Krishna Vamsi also has a chance to grab this opportunity if he scores big with Govindudu Andarivadele. Recently Krishna Vamsi said that he has a very good script for Megastar. He claimed that it would become internationally acclaimed film for sure. Krishna Vamsi caught the attention of Ram Charan who will produce Megastar’s 150th movie.

Charan is willing to handover the responsibility of directing Chiranjeevi to Krishna Vamsi if he proves his mettle with GAV. Even Chiranjeevi is looking forward to that. Krishna Vamsi couldn’t ask for anything better when his career as director is in dire straits.

Sachin Makes Way for Surya

Share

untitled

Coming August 15, Independence Day, Surya alone is going to test his luck in Telugu as there are no other big-ticket films jostling for screens. Although earlier Vishnu Manchu-starrer and RGV directorial Anukshanam was due for release, the movie has been pushed to September 1st week release.

Going by latest reports, Sachiin Joshi’s Nee Jathaga Nenundali (Telugu remake of Aashiqui 2), which was also supposed to release on Aug 15, has been out of race. Buzz is that Sachiin’s film would be hitting screens on August 22.

Only small-budget film Lovers, starring Sumanth Ashwin and Nandita, will be competing with Surya’s Sikander. While Sikander is dubbed film of Anjaan, Lovers is striaght Telugu film. Let’s wait and see which one will come out of flying colours.

Producer in troubles with Dubbing Idea

Share

untitled

It would be a big joke if Telugu film ‘Ra Ra Krishnayaa’ is being dubbed into Hindi. Since actually Telugu version was supposed to be rip-off of Hindi film ‘Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya…starring Ritesh and Genelia and even B-town producers are willing to file a case on Telugu producer Vamsi Krishna and director Mahesh for stealing their storyline under copy right act.

In this ugly, situation, if Telugu producer wants to prove the point by dubbing in romantic comedy and its bound to get ‘legal issues’ of B-town producers are uncompromising, then its going to tough time for Telugu producer and his team.

So, it looks unbelievable joke, because its difficult to copy a film and then re-release it in the same version, without required permission from original makers. Lets see how, it is going turn ugly or not?
