One Difference Between Shankar And Rajamouli

Share
Both Shankar and Rajamouli two highly talented directors in South India as their films speak much louder than their actions. Shankar is always known for his social-message oriented films while Rajamouli’s films embrace show of heroism. Both these directors pay huge attention to detail and take months of time to conceive movies.
Even their films need enormous budgets and star-cast, sometimes though they rely on their content by casting lesser-famed stars. And yet, there is one major difference the kind of style they are having. Sheer difference between Shankar and Rajamouli is this- Rajmouli makes known and regular things more effective with his screenplay, while Shankar displays enormous screenplay skills to make unknown and fantasy elements reach audiences effectively.
If we take a note at all of Rajamouli’s blockbusters like Vikramarkudu, Magadheera, Eega and Maryada Ramanna, the storyline somewhat looks pretty known but the presentation is hair rising. However Shankar’s movies like Oke Okkadu, Aparichitudu and Robo have unique concepts that deal with new elements we never heard of.
More than anything else, Shankar is a fan of Rajamouli and vice-versa. Shankar’s ‘I’ is set for Pongal release on Jan 14th, while Rajamouli’s magnum opus ‘Baahubali’ will release coming April.

Secret Behind Tamil Flavour In Hindi Films

Share
The business of Indian cinema has seen an exponential growth in the last few decades and it is known that Bollywood has been leading from the front. But though the Hindi cinema has got a vast presence across globe, it has not been able to make inroads into the southern box office in the required manner. But the Mumbai cine circuit was quick to realize a formula and they began implementing it.
In the last few years, Tamil movies market has grown internationally and even Tamil audience has also grown across the globe. The south cinema on a whole is very strong and for a long time, Hindi movies were not entertained.
So, in order to gain foothold in south they began praising superstar Rajnikanth in their movies and even came up with Lungi dance song. And then came films like ‘Chennai Express’ ‘Two States’ ‘The Dirty Picture’ linking Tamil Nadu to the Hindi audience. The secret behind this Tamil flavor in Hindi movies is to embrace southern audience and gain viewership.
In a way, this has worked very effectively because the Tamil audience is now coming forward to watch Hindi movies like never before. On the other side, even the north audience are getting a sneak peek on how the culture and lifestyle of the south people is.

Venkatesh’s Questions To Lord Venkateswara

Share
All of you are aware that the film ‘Gopala Gopala’ is the remake of the Bollywood hit ‘Oh My God’. In the original, there is a scene wherein Paresh Rawal questions the logic behind offering hair to god. He also states how would you feel when you open your office and you find lots of hairs around and how annoying it would be.
Paresh adds that this hair offering is not devotion but business. Now, this scene has come into discussion here. Some of the cine seniors are wondering if that similar question comes in ‘Gopala Gopala’ then will victory Venkatesh (reprising the role of Paresh Rawal) pose these questions to our most favored deity Lord Venkateswara.
Already, the recent release ‘PK’ got into a lot of hungama for questioning few things on the belief system. For ‘Gopala Gopala’ also, will the same reaction happen? Of course, in ‘PK’ god is not shown and it has criticized the belief system in Godmen.
But in ‘Oh My God’, a slight criticism of God is also there and then God comes to justify. We have to see how balanced and intelligently they will execute it. If the makers shape it just like the original then controversies might happen.

KCR Insulted Freedom Fighter Komaram Bheem?

Telangana TDP alleged that Chief Minister KCR has “insulted” freedom fighter Komaram Bheem by heaping his praises on Nizam king. Lashing out at CM, T-TDP Legislature Party leader Errabelli Dayakar Rao said, “KCR’s double talk is exposed. He had praised Komaram Bheem during his Adilabad visit to impress people over there and now seeking Muslim votes he praised Nizam king.
How could he praise Nizam king who indulged in severe crimes against Telangana people? With this, it’s evident that he insulted Sayudha Porata Veerudu (Revolutionary leader) Komaram Bheem. It’s high time TRS party should answer to our volley of questions.”
Errabelli Dayakar Rao asked Telangana government to issue white ration cards with immediate effect. It demanded government to come clear on continuing of white ration cards in particular. Setting up a one-week deadline to it, T-TDP stated that it would make protests in all Mandal centres if it fail to deliver within a week.

Hero Makes A Scapegoat Of The Director…

Share
A director is called the captain of the ship. However, it is a norm in the industry to praise the film’s hero to the skies if it becomes a blockbuster and go ballistic about the director if the film flops. Well, if the director does make a bad film, he deserves to be written off till he proves himself again. But when the hero of a film decides to step into the director’s shoes and ‘directs’ the director, the end result is often disastrous.
Apart from the film ending up being a flop, the director has to face the brunt of this for a long, long time. Despite knowing the inside story, the producers too conveniently stay off directors who are put through such trauma. There are many such examples in the industry as was the case with Bommarillu Bhaskar who wasn’t touched even with a barge pole after Ongole Gitta.
Veerabhadram landed in a similar situation after Bhai and many others if one were to list out names. A recently released film is one classic example of this filmi tradition. Once the film released, many wondered as to how the director could come up with such a bad second half, especially after making a decent first half.
Well, apparently, the director had a totally different story for the second half. But the hero, his close associate and the writer insisted that he goes along with the track they suggest as the director’s original story needed more production days. Half way through the film, the director was forced to tow their line and he had to give in having no option. Now, the result is for all to see. Not only has the story gone for a toss, the film too has ended up being a box-office dud.
