Exclusive: Why KCR prefers Rachakonda for Film City?

There seems to be more to it than what meets the eye in the selection of Rachakonda hills area by Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao for developing Film City. According to inside sources, KCR has deliberately chosen Rachakonda for the Film City after coming to an understanding with media baron Ramoji Rao.

The Rachakonda hills are no doubt picturesque locations ideal for film shootings, but they are very close to Ramoji Film City. Sources said probably KCR had an agreement with Ramoji Rao that development of film city at Rachakonda would benefit both the State government as well as RFC.

The shootings can be done in the hills and the processing of film could be done at RFC. Besides, the twin star hotels would get full occupancy with shootings in Rachakonda area. Everybody knows, RFC is running in heavy losses now and development of film city at adjacent Rachakonda would only help Ramoji make up for the losses. In return, KCR would get his due share.

That is perhaps why KCR spent a long day at RFC immediately after selecting Rachakonda for the film city, sources said.

Pak ‘Terror’ Boat blows up In Indian Waters

Indian people can never forget the deadly 26/11 attack on Mumbai when terrorists came from sea and massacred more than 160 people. Now on New Year, Indian Coast Guard intercepted PAK terror boat which tried to enter Indian waters with explosives to carry out another 26/11 attack on Indian soil.

According to Defence ministry sources, coast guard on 1 Jan intercepted Pakistani fishing boat, on way from Keti Bunder near Karachi, in the Arabian Sea. Coast Guard stopped the boat with explosives approximately 365 km from Porbander in the early hours of Jan 1 after one hour chase.

Coast Guard officials fired warning shots but four people present in the boat ignored the warnings and tried to escape. When all escape routes closed, the boat inmates blew the boat along with them.

Former actress, former MP Jayaprada today met Telangana Minister Harish Rao at Ministers Quarters in Hyderabad. According to sources Jayaprada requested Harish Rao to arrange for a meeting with Telangana Chief Minister KCR.

Harish Rao however rubbished all political speculation and informed that Jayaprada met him only to greet and wish him on New Year. Sources say Jayaprada is keen to discuss problems faced by the film industry when she meets Telagnana CM KCR personally.

Jayaprada too is currently showing interest in politics of Telangana. So analysts are speculating whether anything would be brewing between Jayaprada and TRS. Jayaprada prior to state division showed interest to contest from Rajamundry.

Don’t be flummoxed thinking why we are writing about Amitabh Bachchan and his toilet because he has done something which has caught all by surprise. Last night, the living legend released a song from his upcoming movie ‘Shamitabh’ and the number goes ‘Piddly si baatein…’.

Now, what catches the attention is Amitabh’s grizzly look but more than that, the entire song he sings sitting on a western commode inside a toilet. In between, he also catches the water spray gun and uses it as his mike.

This is indeed a maverick thought and due credit for that must also be given to director Balki for conceiving this concept. For his range, Amitabh doing something revolutionary like this is welcoming.

It was well complimented by some really melodious tune by maestro Ilaiyaraaja and sensible lyrics by Swanand Kirkire. For the record, Piddly means something which is extremely trivial and something of least importance.

KCR Visits His Telugu Teacher, Felicitates Him

Setting up a good precedent, Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao has met his childhood guru-teacher and felicitated him. Taking everyone by surprise, KCR on Friday visited the house of his Telugu teacher Mruthyunjaya Sarma and paid respects to him. Mr Mruthyunjaya had taught Telugu lessons to student KCR at the Government school at Dubbaka in Medak district.

Apparently, Mr Mruthyunjaya haven’t charged anything and taught lessons to KCR and other fellow students. Recalling this, KCR revealed this during the last year’s teacher’s day (Sep 5, 2014). “If the teacher is good, even a stone will learn. Mr Mrutyunjaya Sarma taught me without seeking any fee.

If I’m speaking like this today, it is the grace of my Guru.” And keeping up his word, he met his guru at his residence and felicitated him. This act of KCR earning applause from all quarters. In deed it’s a good deed by KCR.

Pataas Is Better Than Temper And Lion

As a new year treat, the whole of Nandamuri family’s happening heroes have released trailers of their upcoming movies. As fans are rejoicing in the hype and hoopla these teasers generated, cine lovers are busy finding out who has given the best entertainment among Balakrishna, Jr NTR and Kalyan Ram. To welcome 2015, both ‘baabai’ Balakrishna and ‘abbai’ Jr NTR have come up with Lion and Temper teasers respectively.

Both the teasers have won appreciation from fans, but general cine lovers feel that they are looking quite ordinary. Balayya’s CBI officer is regular and run of the mill types, while the teaser is also looking routine. Coming to Temper, NTR has once again showcased his dialogue delivery skills but nothing intuitive. Seems like both baabai and abbai are on repetition mode of formulaic movies they have done earlier.

Pataas is however the much needed respite for cine lovers as Kalyan Ram delivered fantastic comedy throughout the trailer. His dialogues are though old, his new body language clicked instantly while the comic relief provided by MS Narayana is top notch. In a way, Pataas teaser is faring well than Temper and Lion.

Government Blocks 32 Websites In India

Prime Minster Narendra Modi and his government in a new found resolve acted touch on anti India websites. The Union Govt on new year cracked whip on anti India websites and blocked at least 32 websites on recommendations of Anti-Terrorism Squad. The websites were found to be using social media to attract Indian youth for jihadi activities.

Sites that are blocked include weebly.com, vimeo.com, dailymotion.com and gist.github.com. Ministry of Communication and Information Technology issues a statement regarding govt directive. Only six websites replied to the showcause notice of the government.

Department of Telecom informed that according to Section 69 of the Information Technology Act, 2000, and under Information Technology (Procedure and Safeguards for Blocking for Access of Information by Public) Rules, 2009, Union Government decided to block 32 URLs.

The voice is that of Mahesh Babu. It is known that Mahesh is the brand ambassador for the Idea network in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states.

So, instead of using some stranger’s beautiful voice, the company seems to have roped in Mahesh to do the voiceover and it is proving to be a different and interesting experience. If this can really lead to some conversion of dialer tunes then the objective of the company would be achieved.
