KCR Makes Fun of Andhra Language

Share
Telangana Chief Minister KCR yet again belittled the people of Andhra Pradesh and their language, ascent. Claiming that Andhra people “insulted” Telangana language, culture earlier, KCR said, “Andhra people have insulted Telangana dialect, culture a lot of times. I’ve told several times that it’s not fair. Even few claimed that they taught us how to eat.
This made me angry and I retaliated that Andhra people don’t know how to cook Biryani until we taught them. We know Biryani, Sherwani since 300 years.” Asking people of Telangana to continue to use native dialect and making fun on Andhra language ‘Andi’, KCR said, “Few are under impression that using native dialect might not be good. We should be proud of our dialect. Like how their (Andhra) mother is proud to themselves, our mother is our pride.
We should rather use Aanapakaya instead of using Sorakaya which is Andhra language.” KCR stated that few children have requested him to not to change his language, dialect. “I was told, ‘Uncle, we like your speeches. Please kindly don’t change your language, dialect.’,” shared KCR. KCR went on to heap praises on Nizam.
Calling him as glorious king of the region, KCR reiterated, “Nizam is responsible for the development of Telangana. He might have done few mistakes like many kings do in their kingdoms but that can’t nullify his greatness.” KCR’s speech yet again reflected that he is wooing Muslims and Telangana people as part of vote-bank politics.

PVP Signs Three Movie Deal With Mahesh

Share
Production house PVP Pictures is on a ‘big’ film making spree. According to reports, the production house has signed a three film deal with Superstar Mahesh for a pay packet of nearly 70 crores. Though complete details of the deal are not know yet, it is heard that Mahesh and Srikanth Addala’s Brahmotsavam will be the first project of the deal.
Other two films will commence in 2016 as producer Potluri Vara Prasad will wait for Mahesh to finish a movie for another production house in between. In fact, PVP has earlier supposed to be inking similar deal with Pawan Kalyan but somehow the news never came out.
After the Jana Sena president’s political entry, proximity between Pawan and PVP got strained as per reports doing rounds in media. Also Pawan want to take a break after Gabbar Singh 2 and focus on politics, so PVP has no option but to sign deal with another star like Mahesh.

Hero Suriya Alerts Jyotika

Share
Heroine Jyotika who is making her comeback with the remake of ‘How Old Are You?’ is working rigorously to wrap up the shooting of the film. It is learnt that Jyotika is not even taking regular break between the schedules and shooting at a stretch without any gaps. Usually, Jyotika has a habit of taking time in between shooting schedules and would only join the shoot after the rest period.
Since it’s home production and she is testing her luck again with a comeback film, apparently hero Suriya cautioned her to not to delay the shoot to cut the production cost so that it’d earn few profits. Heeding to Suriya’s request Jyotika too is working hard on the movie and apparently not even lifting phone calls between the shoots.
Jyotika’s hard work despite being mother of two is inspiring and motivating many of her peers. Billed to be Tamil remake of Malayalam movie, it’s produced by 2D pictures. Efforts are being made to dub the film in Telugu as well.

RGV to direct Sachiin

Share
Maverick director Ram Gopal Varma would be teaming up with actor Sachiin Joshi. RGV would be directing Sachiin in his forthcoming Telugu-Hindi bilingual. Both Sachiin and RGV had series of discussions recently and Varma was keen on the project.
Since RGV has no big-budget flicks in hand for a while, this would be his comeback film in Bollywood. We heard that the movie is a romantic horror laced with RGV’s trademark elements. Sachiin’s last Telugu movie Nee Jathaga Nenundali, remake of Hindi hit Aashiqui 2, bombed at Box Office.
Even RGV’s recent ventures didn’t fare well at the ticket windows. It needs to be seen how Varma and Sachiin’s combination would be. Sachiin would be producing the film.

Rs 150 Crore Spent for Drinks on New Year Eve in AP

Share
A whopping Rs 150 Crore is spent on alcohol in the successor state of Andhra Pradesh on the eve of New Year. The figures indicate that the sales of alcohol on Dec 31, 2014 and Jan 1, 2015 in AP alone accounts for Rs 150 Crore. Excise department authorities confirmed the figures and stated that more than Rs 150 Crore would be spent.
Whereas last year in the undivided state of AP (AP & Telangana) the total sales were pegged at Rs 200 Crore. Usually in the 13 districts of AP, Rs 700 Crore is earned per month towards the sale of alcohol. It means on a day, over Rs 23 Crore is spent on liquor in AP. But on Dec 31 and Jan 1, the sales of alcohol are eleven times more than the sales on regular days.
Especially, the sale of alcohol was huge in Vizag, Vijayawada and Guntur districts. While Srikakulam, Vizianagaram recorded lowest in sales, the increase in sales is seen more in Prakasm, Nellore and districts of Rayalaseema. Only in these three districts over Rs 50 Crore sales were recorded.
Meanwhile, liquor traders expected the demand in sales and stored the stock in advance keeping the demand for New Year and Sankranthi. On whole, AP government is expecting total revenue of Rs 15,000 Crore from alcohol in this year. Whereas liquor traders say that the revenue would be much more than the government figures.

41-year-old Reham was already married. She married a Briton and have three kids. She was a divorcee. Earlier, Imran Khan married Jemima Khan who was also an English journalist. She was an associate editor with New Statesman and campaigner.

Reason Behind Balayya-Nag’s Cold War

Share
Actors Nandamuri Balakrishna and Nagarjuna are not in talking terms for the last one year. They’re avoiding each other and haven’t come face to face even at any function. It’s common knowledge that there is a cold war between both Akkineni and Nandamuri famlies. As we dig into details, we got to know that it all started during T Subbarami Reddy’s function to honour ANR but the invitees on the invitation card didn’t have Balayya’s name and picture.
This naturally didn’t go well with Balakrishna. Akkineni clan which realised the fault in the eleventh hour reprinted a few cards and sent them only to Balakrishna’s family. This apparently irked Balakrishna more and he skipped the event. Although Balayya’s brother Mohan Krishna attended the do, he was ignored by TSR and Akkineni families as they didn’t invite him onto the dais which further fuelled the rift.
Although efforts are made by Akkinenis to convince Balayya, they turned futile. After couple of days after the function, none other than Nagarjuna tried to visit Balayya and pacify him for ruining up the things badly. Balayya reportedly instructed his household that Nagarjuna be told that he was not in house and out.
Even Nag met Hari Krishna and asked him to resolve but in vain as Balayya didn’t budge. Balakrishna was reportedly expecting ANR’s call and it didn’t happen. Since this, Balayya avoided all Akkineni’s functions. Perhaps this is the reason behind Balayya giving ANR’s funeral a miss. With these, even Nag reportedly miffed and let out Balakrishna. Let’s hope at least these two stars bury their hatchet in the new year and call for truce.

First in India: Driverless Metro in Hyderabad

Hyderabad has entered the record books for being the first in India to run Metro train without a driver. Hyderabad Metro has achieved the great feat after successfully completing the test run with the help of Automatic Train Operation (ATO) and Communication Based Train Control system (CBTS).
This latest technology has been tested for the first time in India and Hyderabad became the proud owner of the record. Metro rail between Nagole and Mettuguda has successfully completed the test run without a driver.
The speed and route are controlled and brakes are applied accordingly to control the speed and all these are done automatically in spite of the presence of the driver. The driver’s work is limited to only control the opening and closing of the doors in the bogis.
