Visionary filmmaker Prasanth Varma has officially launched his ambitious project Jai Hanuman at the sacred Anjanadri Betta, revered as the birthplace of Lord Hanuman. The spiritually significant location added immense divine energy to the grand launch ceremony.

After creating a nationwide sensation with HanuMan, the National Award-winning director now expands the Prasanth Varma Cinematic Universe with this much-anticipated sequel. The film is backed by the prestigious Mythri Movie Makers and presented by T-Series, promising massive scale and reach.

In a major highlight, National Award-winner Rishab Shetty steps into the divine role of Lord Hanuman. His intense physical transformation and spiritual preparation have already heightened expectations across the country. The previously unveiled first look evoked strong devotional emotions among fans.

The launch ceremony was conducted with traditional rituals and grandeur, perfectly reflecting the film’s core themes — devotion, strength, and divine purpose. The event began with Bhushan Kumar giving the first clap, while Anil Thadani switched on the camera. Interestingly, Teja Sajja directed the ceremonial first shot. Producers Naveen Yerneni and Ravi Shankar formally handed over the script to Prasanth Varma during the auspicious moment.

Set against the powerful backdrop of Hanuman’s Agnyathavas, Jai Hanuman is envisioned as a visually grand action epic rooted in loyalty, dharma, and timeless promise.

The film also boasts an exceptional technical team, with music composed by M. M. Keeravani, cinematography handled by S. Thirunavukkarasu, and production design by Srinagendra Thangala — further raising anticipation for this divine spectacle.

Yash’s Powerful Pan India Line-Up Takes Shape

Share

In the last few years, Pan India cinema has expanded rapidly, breaking language barriers and uniting audiences across the country. Stars like Prabhas, Allu Arjun, Jr NTR, and Yash have played a major role in this transformation. Among them, Yash stands out for the way he has carefully built his career after achieving nationwide fame.

Yash became a true Pan India sensation with KGF: Chapter 1, which introduced him to audiences beyond Karnataka. The massive success of KGF: Chapter 2 took his stardom to an entirely new level, rewriting box office records and proving that strong content can transcend language. Rather than rushing into multiple signings after KGF, Yash chose to plan his next phase strategically.

At the top of his upcoming slate is Toxic. Even before release, the teaser generated significant buzz. Slated for release on March 19, the film promises a fresh and intense avatar of Yash, quite different from his Rocky Bhai image. Industry insiders believe this project could reveal a new dimension of him as a performer.

Another major project is the ambitious mythological epic Ramayana, where Yash will portray Ravana in Part 1, planned for a grand Diwali release. Playing Ravana is seen as a bold and powerful choice, and the film is mounted on a massive scale. Part 2 is already scheduled for Diwali 2027, indicating a long-term franchise vision.

In addition, there are strong reports of Yash collaborating with a leading Tamil director for a stylish, content-driven film that aims to appeal to audiences nationwide. Adding to the excitement, speculation around KGF: Chapter 3 continues to grow. While an official announcement is still awaited, the possibility alone keeps fans eagerly anticipating what’s next.

With Toxic, Ramayana Parts 1 and 2, a potential Tamil collaboration, and the prospect of KGF 3, Yash currently boasts one of the most powerful and carefully curated Pan India line-ups in Indian cinema.

Sree Vishnu’s Double Release Strategy: One Week Gap, Big Stakes

Share

The news of promising star Sree Vishnu arriving with two films almost back-to-back created a huge buzz in trade circles. Initially, Mrityunjay was locked for a February 26 release, while Vishnu Vinyasam was scheduled for February 27, raising eyebrows across the industry.

After several discussions and careful consideration, the makers decided to avoid a direct clash. While Vishnu Vinyasam retained its release date, Mrityunjay has now been postponed by a week and will hit screens on March 6.

From a trade perspective, the situation is quite interesting. Vishnu Vinyasam is said to be a comic entertainer, whereas Mrityunjay is a crime thriller. Since both films belong to completely different genres, each carries its own audience appeal. In today’s box office scenario, where most films generate the bulk of their collections within the first week, this one-week gap could work as a strategic advantage.

However, much depends on the audience verdict. If Vishnu Vinyasam emerges as a blockbuster, it could impact the momentum of Mrityunjay. On the other hand, if Mrityunjay delivers strong content and positive word of mouth, it could easily dominate the box office. And if both films strike gold, Sree Vishnu might enjoy a rare double success at the ticket windows.

James Cameron Slams Netflix–Warner Bros Deal as “Disastrous”

Share

Legendary filmmaker James Cameron has strongly criticized the proposed deal between Netflix and Warner Bros. Discovery, calling it a disastrous move for the theatrical film industry.

Netflix has reportedly moved to acquire Warner Bros., but Cameron believes such a merger could severely damage the traditional cinema business. In a letter addressed to U.S. Senator Mike Lee, Cameron expressed deep concern over the future of theatrical filmmaking.

“I believe strongly that the proposed sale of Warner Bros. Discovery to Netflix will be disastrous for the theatrical motion picture business that I have dedicated my life’s work to. Of course, my films all play in the downstream video markets as well, but my first love is the cinema,” Cameron wrote.

According to him, the deal could accelerate theatre closures and significantly reduce the number of films being made for the big screen. He argued that Netflix’s streaming-first business model stands in direct contrast to the theatrical production and exhibition ecosystem, which supports hundreds of thousands of American jobs.

Cameron further noted that Warner Bros. is among the last remaining major traditional film studios. If it shifts fully toward a streaming-driven model, it could signal the decline of serious large-scale filmmaking and weaken the United States’ leadership in global cinema.

Responding to Cameron’s concerns, Senator Mike Lee acknowledged receiving outreach from actors, directors, and other stakeholders regarding the proposed merger. “We have received outreach from actors, directors, and other interested parties about the proposed Netflix and Warner Bros. merger, and I share many of their concerns. I look forward to holding a follow-up hearing to further address these issues,” he stated.

With a globally influential filmmaker like Cameron voicing alarm, the debate around the future of theatres versus streaming platforms is likely to intensify in the coming weeks.

Lavanya Tripathi Opens Up on Second Pregnancy Plans

Share

After establishing herself as a successful commercial heroine with films like Soggade Chinni Nayana, Andala Rakshasi fame Lavanya Tripathi embraced a new chapter in her life by marrying mega hero Varun Tej. The couple tied the knot after a brief period of courtship and later welcomed their baby boy, Vaayu Tej, last year.

Now, opening up about motherhood and future plans, Lavanya shared insights about her first pregnancy and the possibility of a second one during a recent interview with popular anchor Suma Kanakala, while promoting her upcoming film Sathi Leelavathi, which is set to release on March 6.

Reflecting on her experience, Lavanya revealed that she faced several health-related complications during her first pregnancy. Despite the challenges, she expressed immense happiness about embracing motherhood. She mentioned that things are now stable and that the couple would comfortably consider planning for a second child in the future.

The actress also recalled that she continued shooting for Sathi Leelavathi during the first trimester, even after doctors advised caution. The hectic schedule reportedly led to frequent vomiting and migraines. However, Lavanya chose to fulfill her professional commitment and completed the project.

While she intends to continue acting in films, she admitted that leaving her child at home for work sometimes brings a sense of emotional discomfort — a feeling many working mothers can relate to.
