For actress Kajal Agarwal, who recently wrapped up shooting for Vijay-starrer Tamil action-drama “Jilla”, the most emotional day of her life will be when her younger sister Nisha Agarwal ties the knot.

Nisha, who is also a popular face in southern film world, will marry Mumbai-based businessman Karan Valecha Dec 28. “My beloved little sister has grown up to choose a partner for herself. She is getting married on Dec 28 in Bombay. This is going to be the biggest and most emotional day for me and my family,” posted Kajal on her Facebook wall.

Kajal, who is currently on a break with her family, finished all her pending work for “Jilla” one week in advance. “She had told me about her sister’s wedding and that she should be with her a few weeks in advance. We, therefore, completed her portion quickly and ensured she has ample time to spend with her family,” the film’s director Nesan said.

Post wedding, Nisha is likely to continue with her acting career. “I will most likely continue working. I haven’t thought about leaving the industry yet and moreover Karan is fine with me doing what I have been doing. I will probably choose roles with some care henceforth,” Nisha had earlier said.

The 24-year old actress is awaiting the release of her Telugu romantic-action “DK Bose”.

The superstar, who is not leaving any stone unturned for his latest movie, on Thursday, left for Ajmer Dargah to seek blessings for “1 Nenokkadine”.  This is not his first visit to the pious place, he visited the Dargah before the release of ‘Businessman’ and after the success of ‘Dookudu.’

Actress Swetha Basu Prasad has finally broken her silence after she was caught red-handed in a sting operation led by a newly launched news channel. Days after the sting operation, the actress finally managed to speak on it on record.

Swetha Basu was quoted as saying by an English daily. Kotha Bangaru Lokam actress said, “The controversy has failed to bring me down. It’s like a ghost that is not real and doesn’t exist. That’s why I refrained from making any comments on the sting so far.”

The irony is that the actress is overwhelmed and rejoicing the support she got online. Interestingly, the actress got tremendous support on social networking platforms like Facebook, Twitter and YouTube and the sting operation by the Channel got backfired.

Swetha Basu added, “I’m overwhelmed by people’s support. This only goes on to prove how aware the audience is today. They know who is what and what is important and what is not. People now question the things shown to them.” Meanwhile, the news channel is mum on the issue and not sure whether it reveal more names of heroines as it claimed before.

6 Months Jail For Lyricist Kulasekhar

Prove guilty for stealing a silver crown, noted lyricist T.P.Kulasekhar was awarded six months imprisonment by an additional first class magistrate the other day. This sounds alarming, but yes, media reports confirm that the noted writer has to count the bars soon.

According to a leading daily, lyricist Kulasekhar was accused of stealing a silver crown weighing 350 grams from an Anjaneya Swamy idol in Tripurasundari temple of Kakinada town. With prosecution proving the charges levied against Kulasekhar, Judge pronounced a verdict reading out six months in jail for the writer-lyricist. Also he should pay a petty amount as a fine, and could appeal about this judgement in higher court too.

Kulasekhar is famous for his lyrics in movies like Chitram, Bommarillu, Gharshana and Aaduvari Maatalaku Arthaleverule. Also he wrote dialogues for Gharshana in Telugu, and is regarded as an intelligent guy. But sometime back, he was in news for losing his memory and failing to recognize his friends and clients.

The Congress party will be reportedly holding a meeting of AICC on January 17 for preparing the strategy for the Lok Sabha polls, triggering speculations that Rahul Gandhi may be anointed the party’s prime ministerial candidate at this meeting. This announcement was made by party general secretary Janardan Dwivedi, which comes close on the heels  of the party’s disastrous defeat in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Delhi.

BJP had named Narendra Modi as PM candidate in September. Since then, there has been criticism that Congress has been reticent about naming its nominee. On the day the assembly poll results came, party chief Sonia Gandhi reportedly said that the party would announce its prime ministerial candidate at an opportune time. This meeting will be held at a time when Congress is facing an uphill task with the emergence of Modi as a force to reckon with and some allies of UPA sending warning signals. Given Rahul’s credentials it has to be seen how things will take shape now.

Directed by Krishna Vamsi, the film has been lying in cans for a while. The star is disappointed over it for a while and it’s clearly visible during the audio release of Uyyala Jampala held on Sunday night in Hyderabad.

When Nani landed on the dais and took a microphone, a few among audience went berserk and questioned him over the release of Paisa. Responding to them, Nani said, ‘It’s become like my Ranku Mogudu (illegal husband).’ That’s not all. Nani went onto add, ‘I hope it (Paisa) won’t contend with Uyyala Jampala.’ The latter comment has set tongues wagging in T-town. How come a star could demean his own film (in which he plays the lead role) even before its release? This has raised serious doubts over Krishna Vamsi’s directorial venture.

Looks like, the actor is suffering from foot-in-mouth disease. His latest comments have apparently invited wrath from few film folks. Let’s see how Vamsi will react to the statement by Nani.

Telugu lyricist gets jail for theft

Popular Telugu lyricist Kulasekhar was sentenced to jail for six months in a theft case on the charges of stealing a silver crown of Lord Hanuman from Tripurasundari Temple in Kakinada of East Godavari district. Cops had booked the lyricist and later produced him in the court. With substantial proofs are against Kulasekhar, Kakinada Vth Additional magistrate Sanyasi Naidu declared him as convicted and pronounced jail term.

He was earlier in the news for is mental instability where he could not recognize the people and has been staying away from Film Industry.

Kulasekhar is popular for his lyrics in films like Chitram, 10th Class, Gharshana. He even tested his hand at directing by making a film Prema Lekha Rasa which failed to see the light of the day. This is very sad that a talented person like Kulasekhar stooped down to low level.

Indian Idol 2 winner Sandeep Charya, aged 29 years passed away yesterday at Medanta Hospital in Gurgaon suffering from jaundice.

Sandeep’s parents and elder brother admitted him in a Bikaner Hospital first and then shifted him to Girgaon when the situation worsened. While the album of ‘Mera Saath Saara Jahan’ was released, Sandeep has new album ‘O Sanam Tere Bina’ to release in this month. Singer Shreya Goshal, celebrities Farah Khan, Sonu Nigam, Anu Malik Mini Mathur and others who had close relations with Sandeep were shocked with the demise of this young singing sensation. Pray for his soul to rest in peace.
