Pawan keen on scoring flops

Pawan Kalyan showed his power at box office breaking all records with Gabbar Singh and Attarintiki Daaredi delighting his fans who have been waiting for more than ten years for success from their hero.

Pawan all these years tried his hands in direction, script writing etc but met with little success. Now many feel that Pawan is keen on scoring flops as he is readying script for his Gabbar Singh 2 to be directed by Sampath Nandi. Fans who are worried feel that Pawan shouldn’t experiement and tamper his blockbuster records in Tollywood.

However Sampath Nandi and close aides says Pawan is not scripting the story for Gabbar Singh 2 but he only gave plot to Sampath Nandi who is developing script. Film is produced by Sharat Marar,close associate of Pawan. Devi Sri Prasad is the music director.

Mohan Babu gripped by unusual tensions?

Controversial actress hits back at Nayanatara

Young South Indian actress Nazriya Nazim had made it to headlines by lodging a complaint against her director for asking her to do some skin show for a film. She alleged that the director used body double as she didn’t agree for exposing. This controversy made her immensely popular among the news circles.

Nazriya making an issue about skin show didn’t go well with the film industry. Even heroines found fault with her. Senior actress Nayanatara termed it as silly thing to do. ‘Heroines are supposed to do some skin show in this field. It’s a part and parcel of film industry. It is silly to make a hue and cry and about it,’ Nayan reportedly told to a Kollywood website.

Nazriya has hit back at Nayanatara strongly and said that she knows what is right and what is wrong. ‘It is better if she minds her own business. She is not the right person to teach me the morals about cinema,’ Nazriya has shot back as per Kollywood media. Well, it looks like we are all set for an interesting war of words.

Doctors Give Up Hopes On AVS?

Comedian AVS who was diagnosed with a serious liver ailment way back in 2008, is now suffering from the same again. From last ten days, he is getting treated in Global Hospitals and today he is sent home. Reports have that doctors have given up hopes on AVS, and his condition will be getting critical in the coming days.

Born in 1957, Aamanchi Venkata Subrahmanyam aka AVS started his career as a journalist, and later went on to become actor, comedian, producer and director. After debuting into films in 1993 through Mr Pellam, AVS has no looking back. He got Nandi award for Mr Pellam and acted in nearly 500 films in the past 19 years.

More than that, he happens to be general secretary of Movie Artists Association for three times after getting elected unanimously. AVS was last seen in the movie Pavitra, rocked the screen in Denikaina Ready.

Let us hope he will recover from all the ailments, and keeps dazzling on silver screen as ever.

‘Nenokkadine’ master plan to beat ‘AD’

Pawan Kalyan’s ‘Attarintiki Daredi’ has rewritten all the records in Tollywood and set new figures to be beaten. Unlike ‘Magadheera’ or ‘Pokiri’ which have stayed on top for a long time, this time it looks like the tenure for ‘Attarintiki Daredi’ may not be that long. This is because of another big film.

It is ‘1-Nenokkadine’ starring Mahesh Babu. News is that the makers of the film have already drawn a big sketch to go past ‘Attarintiki Daredi’. As part of the plan, they have already blocked 900 theatres throughout Andhra Pradesh. In overseas, the number of theatres blocked is 200, say sources.

If this figure is true then that also would mean a big and new record because no big star film has crossed 100 theatres of release in overseas. The film is due for release on January 10th, 2014 and it is directed by Sukumar. Mahesh is pairing up with Kriti Sanon in the lead.

Going by the statistics, if the film gets even above average talk then the overall collections will touch nearly 30 to 40 crores in one week. This is one film Mahesh fans are waiting from long because they want to see him in a full length action role.

Unique Elephant Fights in ‘Bahubali’?

Though it took a lot of time to take off the film ‘Bahubali’ has been progressing at a brisk pace. Directed by S S Rajamouli, the film has Prabhas, Daggubati Rana and Anushka in the lead. A long schedule was progressing in Hyderabad at the Ramoji Film City and here is another update.

It is heard that the team will now be heading to Kerala for a new schedule. The dates are being finalized and the interesting part is, the team is planning to have some special elephant fight sequences there. Kerala is famous for its elephants and also for the scenic locales in south India.

Another story is that the Kerala schedule is not about elephant fights but to shoot some very nice songs on the lead pair. Mostly the shooting is expected to take place in the forests of Kerala and due permissions have to be taken.

If the elephant fights are for true then it will be a very unique thing because such sequences have not been shot much in Indian cinema. ‘Bahubali’ is being made in two parts and it is heard that Prabhas has got a double role in this one. Further details will be out soon.

‘Gabbar Singh 2’ Release Date Locked?

Power star Pawan Kalyan scored a very big blockbuster with the film ‘Gabbar Singh’ and it also made director Harish Shankar a star filmmaker. The film is the remake of the Bollywood blockbuster ‘Dabangg’ and already the second part has also come in Hindi without much success.

Now, it is the turn of Tollywood. The news is that ‘Gabbar Singh 2’ is going to start in the month of December and an update has come. Sources say the makers have already locked the release date of the film and it would be arriving in screens on May 11th, 2014. That would mean it is going to be a proper summer release.

The film is being directed by Sampath Nandi and inside talk is that the script and storyline has been prepared by Pawan Kalyan himself. There are also reports that the film will not be a sequel but a totally different story.

If the release date is confirmed then it means that the rest of the big hero films which are targeting summer for release have to move themselves away from May 11th. The other main thing remaining is who will be the heroine for this important film.

Dr. Haranath Policherla, an NRI, who tried his hand at acting in Telugu cinema, did a dance performance in US for Pawan Kalyan’s medley songs.

Top director stays away from NTR and Charan

NTR and Ram Charan are the biggest mass heroes in Tollywood now. Both of them have strong hold in all the mass dominated areas and hence every film of theirs should have elements that please mass audience. Making a successful mass movie with routine elements is not an easy task.

You can’t just make a film high on comedy quotient with NTR and Ram Charan and pass it off. Right blend of mass elements and entertainment is must for these heroes. Top director Trivikram, who is known for class family entertainers, has promised to do film each with NTR and Ram Charan.

But Trivikram is not trying to fulfill the promise for at least one of them. Trivikram is currently riding high on the success of Attarintiki Daredi and he is not ready to come of out of his comfort zone for dealing this mass heroes. Therefore he is staying away from these heroes by telling that he doesn’t have stories that suit their image at the moment. Will he ever do a film with either of these heroes is a million dollar question.

IT Raid On Priyamani’s Producer

Just the other day, Priyamani’s latest movie ‘Chandi’ producer Dr G Srinu Babu shared with a couple of media friends that he invested a lot on the movie. But his openness has led to big blow today, it seems.

Reportedly he shared that though initial budget of the flick was planned as 3.5 crores, finally he ended up spending 10 crores and Priyamani’s remuneration alone was 75 lakhs despite her low market price. As this producer happens to own a pharmaceutical and medical research company, the burden of pooling in crores might have not affected him huge. After lot of obstacles, ‘Chandi’ is finally hitting screen tomorrow on November 8th and here comes the punch.

Rajamouli silences critics

Undeterred and not bogged down by the recent hullabaloo in social networking media over the first making video of his upcoming magnum opus Baahubali, director Rajamouli stick to his own style for his latest video too. He does it again in his latest making video- Behind the scenes of Baahubali which is released on the eve of birthday of Anushka Shetty Today.

Rajamouli’s son Karthikeya and his team has done the first making video. But the acclaimed director has not given credit to anyone for the latest effort and it appears, the same team has worked on for this video as well. The team strictly followed the same template which spurred a debate last time. A few critics lamented that it was a “copy”. But later the tough taskmaster has clarified that they bought the theme from videohive and used it.

The fresh making video has captured behind the working scenes of Anushka Shetty, her makeup and costumes and styling has been portrayed well. Although, the same background music and track is played, the visuals of Anushka are like a breathe of fresh air.

With the latest video too following the same template, Rajamouli has silenced his critics by sticking to his own style. He does what he wants.That’s Rajamouli folks.
