In the fear of losing theaters to AD, it is heard that Mahesh’s movie producers are now signing agreements with theaters, three months before the release itself. This might prevent others in getting theaters during Sankranthi 2014. Let us see what happens.

Earlier there were rumours that Jahnavi would make her debut with Chiranjeevi’s son Ram Charan or even Nagarjuna’s son Akhil. But all those turned out to be rumours.

‘Attarintiki Daaredi’ is one film which many have been waiting for and to an extent it may not feel the heat of the agitation because Pawan Kalyan has been away from politics. Moreover, his Samaikyandhra flavor in ‘Cameraman Ganga Tho Rambabu’ is going to get him few extra points. Let us hope the film releases and runs without any trouble.

Ram Charan who till now been dancing to only remixes of his dad’s superhit songs, seems to be changing his trend. He is now keen on starring in the remakes of his dad Chiranjeevi’s films. While some say it is better to keep away from remakes of super hit films be it Chiranjeevi, Amitabh Bachchan or others after watching the fate of Zanjeer’s telugu version Toofan, Ram Charan is hell bent on doing Gang Leader. Wonder who will direct the film?

The shooting is happening from a while and it is directed by Surender Reddy while Vakkantham Vamsi is the writer. Bunny is pairing up with Shruti Haasan. With this update on the film, doubts are again rising whether ‘Race Gurram’ will also face problems like ‘Iddaramayilatho’ or will it race to becoming a hit.

The Director’s Son Karthikeya who is currently working as a production executive for his family films (Eega, Bahubali) reveals his father is a completely different person on the sets. Rajamouli makes sure the father-son bond doesn’t exist once he enters the sets. Interestingly, he calls his son Karth at home and Karthikeya at work. On sets, it’s always about the work for the father and son. Once they reach home, they were like any other father-son and Rajamouli is very supportive of the decisions taken by Karthikeya.

In fact, Karthikeya doesn’t want to use the name and fame earned by his celebrity father for his growth. Instead, he wishes to begin from the scratch and built an identity of his own. Even Rajamouli likes this thought process of his son and his willingness to learn for achieving big one day.

On the project for Salman Khan’s production, Charan replied, “Salman is our family friend since 10 years. After watching few clippings of ‘Zanjeer’, he said ‘we should do a film together’. We have been planning to do a film together for so long. I will be made for Salman’s ‘Being Human’ foundation. I will be playing the lead and he will be producing it. We are yet to finalize the script”.

When asked about the landmark film of his father, the actor said he is open to produce the 150th of Chiranjeevi if he allots call sheets for three months and two scripts have already been finalized.

On the other hand, the reports from the Hindi circuit for ‘Zanjeer’ were very poor. Despite releasing in over 2,000 thousand screens, the tough cop flick failed to draw the crowds to the theatres. Zanjeer first day Collections: Rs 3.44 crore from 2,086 screens.

The other Bollywood flick Shudh Desi Romance has been doing good business at the ticket window. Shudh Desi Romance first day Collections: Rs 6.75 crore from 1050 screens.

Overall, Zanjeer/Toofan business on Day 1 is anywhere between Rs 13.5-15 crore, including AP, Karnataka, Kerala, North India, Overseas.

Despite several offers from other filmmakers to pen dialogues for their films, Trivikram softly turned down all of them and it was only for Pawan he couldn’t say ‘NO’. That’s the kind of respect he gives for their friendship!

The makers thought Shruti would suit for Mahesh in Aagadu and the pretty damsel too was ok with the proposal. Rest assured Srinu Vytla was looking for his second lead girl for the movie.

Samantha’s call sheets didn’t give her scope so she declined second girl’s role. So they seem to be considering Tamannaah and Deepika Padukone for the role. As soon as Shruti learnt Tamannaah’s name was under consideration Shruti opted to come out of the project giving shock to the makers. However, she sent an excuse saying she is busy with pre-agreed upon shooting commitments. Well in reality that’s not the reason though.

Shruti baby, you are a professional girl, look at Salman and Katrina or Ranbir and Deepika with many differences they could work out well for a movie. So if you have got differences you can still keep them aside girl and work for a movie, after all opportunities won’t come second time!

Asked about it, Ranbir said: “I was also telling Abhinav that every actor has his trademark, like Shah Rukh has his and Amitabh sir has his. So, I thought I should have one and I will pee in all my films – may be that becomes my trademark!”

Ranbir made the cheeky remark here Thursday during the promotion of “Besharam”.

The movie’s trailer shows Ranbir relieving himself while singing “Tujhe dekha toh ye janaa sanam”, a popular song from Shah Rukh Khan’s superhit film “Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge”. The scene has not gone down well with some of SRK’s fans.

But Ranbir, 30, has clarified that their intention was not to make fun of anyone.

“This scene where I am peeing in ‘sarson ke khet’ (mustard field) and singing ‘Tujhe dekha toh ye jaana sanam’ disappointed a lot of (Shah Rukh’s) fans. But our intention was not to make fun of anyone. Whenever we see ‘sarson ke khet’, we only think of that song,” Ranbir said.

“Besharam” also stars Ranbir’s actor-parents Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh. Actress Pallavi Sharda, a newcomer who hails from Australia, plays the female lead in the film which releases Oct 2.
