But the big ticket entertainer will be Jr NTR’s ‘Ramayya Vastavayya’ that will hit screens on Sept 27th.

With various rumours and news doing rounds about the postponement of ‘Yevadu’ due to various factors, it seems like the movie got a new release date.

Reports from close quarters indicated that ‘Yevadu’ is going to hit screens on August 21st to avoid political uncertainty in state and also a clash with Baabai Pawan’s ‘Attarintiki Daredi’. Though producer Dil Raju wants to confirm this in today’s evening press meet, some distributors have already leaked the news. Earlier, they thought of August 2nd as a probable date, but some distributors felt that it will be too close to ‘Attarintiki Daredi’ that is hitting screens on Aug 7th. After holding huge discussions with many distributors of both the flicks, it is heard that Dil Raju shifted the date.

But with online bookings opened for ‘Yevadu’ and some people already purchasing tickets, we have to see how Dil Raju is going to handle this. Let us wait for a word from him.

All eyes of Tollywood is on another ‘son’ rise. It’s none other than Akkineni Nagarjuna’s younger son Akhil. While there has been speculations every now and then about who is going to launch Akhil, and the latest we hear about is the name of Srinu Vytla.

Finally, actor Nagarjuna has opened up about the ongoing rumours. Nag speaking on the sidelines of press meet at Annapurna International School of Film Media, said, “We haven’t finalized anything. Yes, Akhil is making his acting debut. But I cannot say when is it going to take place. We have to consider a lot of things before finalizing them. Yes, few top directors are keen to rope in Akhil but I’d like to wait for a while until Akhil masters the art of acting.”

Ram Charan’s action-thriller ‘Yevadu’ has knocked the Censor doors Yesterday to settle with an ‘A’ certificate. After the screening, CBFC Officials have given two options for Dil Raju – ‘U/A’ with Multiple Cuts or ‘A’ with No Cuts. The producer has preferred the latter as he doesn’t want to disturb the flow of the film with the cuts at crucial junctures.

As per the Censor talk, Yevadu is just another Revenge Drama with few good twists at the right intervals. The run-time of the movie is 148 minutes. 

First Half – Characters Introduction, Mystery Element, Building The Story, Few Laughs, Nice Songs, Dances in Freedom song and Intense Interval Bang.

Second Half: More engaging than the First Half to keep the audience on the edge of the seats and the Pre-climax Episode packs a punch.

Overall, ‘Yevadu’ is entertaining and much better film for Ram Charan than his past two releases (Racha, Nayak) because of the engaging screenplay. Even the end result is going to be much bigger this time. So, another hit for Mega Powerstar in the offing and it’s also a hat-trick!

The film ‘OM 3D’ which is Kalyan Ram’s latest attempt to prove his mettle ended up as a major disappointment. Revenue generated by this movie is so poor that it is already out of most of theaters, irrespective of A, B & C centers.

‘OM 3D’ collected a first week share of Rs 5.49 crore in AP and this amount might also be the full run collection of the film. For a film which was made with a budget of Rs 25 crore, this kind of revenue is frightening and disgusting in Today’s times where the fate of the films is solely based on the openings.

Trade pundits say, Kalyan Ram who is also the producer of the film lost close to Rs 13 crore on the project. Despite selling the theatrical rights for most of the areas prior to the release, the actor incurred huge losses because the amount invested on the film is double to his business range.

Seems like, Kalyan Ram hasn’t learnt his lessons despite successive failures. Investing crores on the vision of a debutant director is a big gamble and hence he is paying the price again and again. It’s true that the actor has put his heart and soul into the project, but the inability of the director to use the resources effectively played the spoilsport. What could we do other than feeling sorry for this Nandamuri Hero!

The clash between Yevadu and Atharintiki Daredi movies itself has been worrying the buyers a lot. As the makers of both the films have no other go except for pitting against each other, fans and trade pundits are eagerly waiting to see the performance of these movies. However, the latest developments on the political front are giving extra pains for these movies now. As everyone is expecting a statement about separate state of Telangana on August 2, it is not a right time to release new films.

We have seen movies suffer at the box office when United Andhra and Telagana movements were heated up. If the Government takes a decision over bifurcation of state then we can guess what kind of scenario there would be across the state. If there isn’t any announcement on August 2nd, then the release of Atharintiki Daredi will be on schedule.
