Gunasekhar is always known for the lavish sets and for his upcoming historical film ‘Rudrama Devi’, this so-called creative filmmaker has gone a step ahead and invested Rs 5 crores only on the ornaments of Anushka who is playing the title role.

Noted designer Neeta Lulla who had earlier worked for films like ‘Jodha Akhbar’ has designed the look and costumes of Anushka in this prestigious movie. Especially, Rs 5 crore worth jewellery consisting of gold & diamonds has been used to elevate the role of princess Rani Rudrama Devi.

When asked why he had shelled out so many crores for costumes alone, Gunasekhar who is very happy with the way the film has shaped up confidently replied,”The jewellery which was designed for Anushka’s role will be more popular than that of Aishwarya Rai’s in Jodha Akhbar.”

‘Rudrama Devi’ is going to be the first historical film shot in 3D format. About 35% of the shooting has been wrapped up by now and the entire talkie will be done by December this year. The next schedule would begin from July 3rd in a specially erected set at Annapurna Studios. The film also stars Rana, Krishnam Raju, Prakash Raj, Suman, Baba Sehgal, Nathalia Kaur, Hamsa Nandini and few others. Music of the film is by Ilayaraja, Art Direction by Thota Tharani, Costumes by Neeta Lulla and Cinematography by Ajay Vincent. Lets see if this Rs 40 crore film sets the cash registers ringing!

Priyamani sharing her experience said that she danced along with Sharukh in Chennai Express though being a senior heroine in south since item songs are a craze in Bollywood. She says the response gives immense joy and now even Southern filmmakers are contacting for special numbers.

Mega Power Star ram charan’s ‘Yevadu’ audio launch will be held on 1st July in Hyderabad. A total of 2000 entry passes will be issued by the organizers. Of which, 200 entry passes will be issued for VVIPs, 650 for VIPs, 1100 for fans and 50 passes for access tags have been reserved. It is learnt that all the mega heroes will be attending this function. The function starts at 6pm onwards at the venue.

Shruthi Haasan and Amy Jackson have romanced with ram charan in this action thriller while Stylish Star Allu Arjun and Kajal will be seen as cameos. Some days ago, director Srinu Vaitla said that his new movie ‘aagadu’ would become more hilarious entertainer than ‘Dookudu’. Maybe because of this reason, the tagline of ‘aagadu’ was reportedly confirmed as ‘Dookude Dookudu’. Incidentally, ‘Dookude Dookudu’ was a contest conducted by ‘Univercell’ to promote the sales of mobile phones in their outlets. Mahesh Babu is the brand ambassador of it. However, the makers are yet to confirm the tagline of the movie.

The only worry �Balupu� should think about is �Singham Yamudu 2� starring suriya, Anushka and Hansika, directed by Hari releasing on July 5th. In the past, the first in franchise �Yamudu� was a solid hit both in Telugu and Tamil. Irrespective of the dubbed status, suriya gained a lot of ground in Telugu and �Singham Yamudu 2� seems to be quite promising. If at all, this action entertainer releases with unique positive talk, there are chances of �Balupu� to slightly go down. Let us see, how interesting will be this clash of mass action films.

The website of one of China’s top universities crashed after it had an unprecedented number of visitors who apparently logged in to check out the uploaded photos of the young female graduate.

In the pictures, the girl named Kang Kang is seen flaunting her graduation robes and holding a mortarboard hat, in a variety of poses on and around the university campus.

The incident occurred at the Renmin University of China and many people suspect the pictures are one of the ways the university uses to attract new students, ‘South China Morning Post’ reported.

The decision to put up the pictures – which is unusual for conservative Chinese universities – not only drew countless clicks on its website, but also excited people’s curiosity as to who the student was..

Rana Daggubati has suffered injuries while undergoing rehearsals for his big ticket entertainer ‘Bahubali’. He was immediately rushed to Care Hospital in Hyderabad for treatment.

As the news spread like wildfire, the actor’s manager has informed to the media that the injury is a minor thing and Rana is absolutely fine.

‘Bahubali’ is a period drama which requires lot of high-octane action sequences. Both Prabhas and Rana got trained under the supervision of experts for few months for the war-field scenes in the movie. It is learnt that timing has gone wrong while performing a moment and the Macho hero ended up injuring himself.

Needless to day, Rana is one of the well-built actors we have in Tollywood and he could effortlessly overcome these kind of minor hurdles.
