Can ‘Cameraman’ survive cuts

Pawan Kalyan, Tamanna starrer ‘Cameraman Gangato Rambabu’ directed by Puri Jagannath found itself into unwanted controversies and now it fate hinges in balance. According to reports even when the film makers came forward and offered to cut 12 scenes from the film,a committee constituted by Information Minister DK.Aruna, suggested some more cuts. They include

1. Telugu Talli scenes 2. Political Leader’s presence in Delhi guest house 3. Nizam Nawab’s photo in the background 4. Dialogues resembling whether you want ‘Telangana’ or not 5. Dialogues on suicides 6. Hostel students clash 7. Dialogues resembling settlers supporting movement.

Even with the cuts some members are against the release of the film, but some are trying to convince them that it would be detrimental to for the film industry. Now movie lovers and analysts are left to wonder how the film can survive these cuts and continue to get collections. Film makers thought the very powerful scenes would be pivotal in the success of the film and if the scenes are deleted then there will be nothing in the film.

Sources reveal that after cuts the film duration will be somewhere around 1hr 30 min. How film makers tackle the issue has to be seen once the film is cleared for screening.

Aamir Khan starts for Haj

Following his promise to mother Zeenat Hussain Khan to perform Haj, Aamir Khan who returned to India three days ago for the music launch of Talaash, is all set to go to Mecca.

Apart from his mother, Aamir will be accompanied by an entourage of 12 others. One of the persons going along is a friend of the actor. Reportedly, six bodyguards are also going along to ensure that Aamir and his group stay protected.

1 Hour 5 Minutes cuts in CMGR

After Thursday’s chaotic scenes that resulted in the stoppage of Pawan Kalyan-starrer Cameraman Ganagtho Rambabu, the movie continued to burn a hole in the pocket of Telangana distributor ‘Dil Raju’. Minister for Information and Public Relations D K Aruna reacted furiously. She constituted a committee to watch the movie.

The seven member committee include Allam Narayana, Dil Raju, Vijayender Reddy, Vandemataram Srinivas, Allani Sridhar, N Shankar and Tammareddy Bharadwaja. The committee had watched the special screenings and found 15 scenes of the movie objectionable. These 15 cuts amounts to 1 hour 5 minutes in the movie. So, the movie will be 1 hour 31 minutes long with 34 minutes of songs. This cuts will come in to effect in Nizam from tomorrow and the screening of the movie will resume every where.

Allu Arjun’s wife Sneha met with an Accident

Stylish Star Allu Arjun’s wife Sneha Reddy met with an accident on Saturday night.She reportedly fell off a bicycle in their farm house in Gandipet. She was immediately rushed to the nearby Yashoda Hospital. The doctors attended up on her declared that she is safe. She had reportedly sustained minor fracture in her arm. A minor operation will be performed on her very soon. Her husband and family members rushed to the hospital and are taking care of her. She is expected to be discharged early tomorrow.

Sneha Reddy was married to Allu Arjun early last year. The couple recently returned home after a holiday trip in Europe.

Young Tiger NTR who attained stardom at very young age fell short in the number race in recent times with out a 40C share movie, However, he had two promising projects, Baadshah and Harish Shankar movie in the lineup. While Baadshah is progressing fast, Harish is taking all care to deliver a blockbuster to NTR. According to early plans, the makers are planning to release the movie on July 9th. It is a special date in NTR’s career, it was on that day in 2003, his Simhadri got released and became a super duper hit.

The movie will be produced by Dil Raju under Sri Venkateswara films banner. Dil Raju earlier produced NTR’s Brindavanam. Samantha is one of the female leads. Thaman will compose the music.

TRS Shravan’s romance with Power Star

During the past few days TRS leader Shravan has been going hammer and tongs on Power Star Pawan Kalyan and his latest release ‘Cameraman Gangato Rambabu’ directed by Puri Jagannath. He supported goons and other unsocial elements which went on rampage damaging properties, burning reels and what not. He even after the film makers tendered their apologies and cut 12 scenes, is demanding for total ban on the film.

But those who know Shravan’s past will be bemused by his antics to gain importance and curry favors with his chief KCR. It was Power Star Pawan Kalyan who using his influence got him MLA ticket during last elections. He went on to contest secunderabad constituency on PRP ticket. Later he jumped to TRS party.

Even when in TRS, during the release of Pawan’s film ‘Teen Maar’ he was seen moving closely with Pawan Kalyan. During that time Shravan broke down emotionally saying he will be always thankful to Pawan Kalyan by getting him recognition for a novice like him. Now he is gunning for Pawan himself who has given him life of public importance. Everyone knows for what and whom Shravan is doing all these antics.

K.Chandrasekhar Rao floated TRS party after he was denied his chosen cabinet portfolio in the then Chandra Babu Naidu ruled TDP govt in Andhra Pradesh.From then on he tried to make his party popular raking up the sentiments in the telangana region.,He achieved his cause by spitting venom on people of other regions and his job was made easy with ruling Cong mishandling the situation after the sudden demise of YSR.

From then on he and his party TRS turned aggressive and violent by attacking its opponents verbally, psychologically and physically.Now it reached such a situation that who ever speaks against them will be branded as traitors of telangana. Many political analysts feel that there are striking similarities between Raj Thackery led MNS in Maharashtra and KCR led TRS.

Though MNS is not demanding for separate state, it is raking up son of the soil, Marathi manoos and jobs for only locals, the same issues taken by TRS. Many advocate that unless until TRS, its militant organizations don’t reign in their cadre and allow them to carry out attacks at their own will and then take refuge asking for removal of cases citing telangana sentiment. It has to be seen how TRS win over hearts of all, as only then telangana can be achieved.

Rajamouli: No tips to CBN

There were rumours that Former AP CM, Chandra Babu Naidu had sought for ideas from noted film directors, Sreenu Vaitla and S S Rajamouli for his 2500 Km Padayatra. Few media sources have reported that the directors have went to give Tips to the political baron.

However, Rajamouli who is unhappy with these reports condemned them as rumours. He tweeted: “me directing chandrababu naidu garu(WHAT DOES IT MEAN???) and giving “TIPS” is absurd and untrue”.

32 Minutes footage removed in CMGR

Following the protests in Telangan and the violent mob attack of Puri Jagannadh’s office, Puri Jagannath had decided to edit the objectionable scenes in the movie. Puri had agreed to delete the ‘offensive’ scenes. However, he claimed that the film was not made in support of any political party.

Puri said that the film was made with good intentions but yet if some felt that their sentiments were hurt by the film, the offensive portions would be forthwith removed. The movie team had chopped off about 32 minutes from the movie which is reportedly the major highlight scenes of the movie. We will have to see how the movie performance will be affected due to this cuts.

Denikaina Ready second only after The Dark Knight Rises

Manchu scion Vishnu had made a claim that his recent movie Denikaina Ready is second only to The Dark Knight Rises. He claims that After ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ Dhenikaina Ready will be the first Indian movie and second in the world to show a 5 minutes preview in the theaters of USA.

The movie is surrounded by good positive buzz. Hansika Motwani is the female lead and it has been produced by 24 Frames Factory banner. The film is gearing up for a big release on October 24th. Popular Television anchor and movie artist Jhansi Laxmi is producing an English movie titled “All I Want Is Everything”. The film is co produced by Rekha Pappu, written& directed by Shital Morjaria. The film is an official entry to the South Asian film festival which will take place in Goa end of this month. Introducing three new faces Sagari Venkata, Sampada Harkara and Ianta Mitchell the film is based on women friendships. Shoot on HD by Cinematographer Shyam Prasad the film was completed in August this year.

‘All I Want Is Everything’ is a female oriented film on women friendship. There are only three characters in this film and story is about the three girls, their friendship and their problems solving.

Gunashekar’s Rani Rudramma Devi in 3D

Director Gunasekhar is planning to make a movie on Rani Rudramma Devi in 3D. He had roped in actress Anushka to play the heroine in the Tamil-Telugu bilingual.

He is currently busy vieing the commercial aspects of the movie. If the movie is made in 3D, it will be the first historical movie to be made in 3D in our country. Maestro Ilaiyaraaja is expected to score the music. Thota Tharani will erect lavish sets for this film, which will be made as a Telugu-Tamil bilingual. Rani Rudrama Devi is said to be a dream project for Gunasekhar and he has plans to use the prevailing hi-technology to make the film in a big way.

AP State Information and Broadcasting Minister DK.Aruna was quick to react and ordered an inquiry on Cameraman Gangato Ramababu controversy. She even issued a press statement that the film makers have no right to hurt the feelings and sentiments of any region and telangana in particular. She duly constituted a committee headed by RV.Chandra Vadanan, MD of Film Development Corporation (FDC) who will view the film and give their report whether to agree for the release of the film after 12 cuts which film makers volunteered to make after attacks on the film or ban the film overall.

Many telanganaites hailed her prompt action. However many questions raise on her urgency on the issue and highlight the double standards. Couple of days back another film ‘Women in Brahmanism’ created lot of controversy and many demanded ban on the film as it depicted women, Brahmins in particular in bad taste showing them as prostitutes. Even when entire tollywood fraternity clamored for ban and even wrote a letter to FDC MD, no action has been taken till now.

This shows that only when people show their power damaging public or private properties, authorities will take action. Since Brahmins are meek and let go ever major issue, no action has been taken till now. Authorities and Minister should introspect what will be the consequences of their steps. Now they may even call for waiver of cases against attackers who damaged offices.

Will Dual role deliver Success for Vishnu

Vishnu for long has been trying hard for success. He starred in many films but none of the them impressed viewers. Right from ‘Astram’ till ‘Vastadu Na Raju’, Vishnu tried different directors, different script writers but nothing worked out for him.

Vishnu is testing his luck this time with Denikaina Ready on Dasara, and hope that on this auspicious occasion, lady luck will present success sweets for him. Vishnu’s father Collection King Mohan Babu revealed that he sacrificed a film and asked Kona Venkat and Gopi Mohan to prepare a script for his son and they together with B.Ravi came with this wonderful script.

Vishnu will be seen romancing hot beauty Hansika in the film and also will be trying to impress movie lovers coming as Suleman and Krishna Sastry. The film was shot lavishly at Malaysia and Bangkok. Now it has to be seen whether father’s sacrifice will work for Vishnu or not. Vishnu’s results will be out on 24th for which he is eagerly waiting as already the film completed its censor.

The film’s music is tuned by two music directors for the first time. Chakri tuned three songs while Yuvan Shankar Raja scored music for another two songs.

Controversies killing Cinemas

No two persons will be alike and think similarly. In the same way films also come in different manner but now a days hit ratio is reducing drastically. Though N number of films are releasing in theaters, people are staying away from insipid films. Some film makers knowingly or unknowingly touch upon controversial subjects. This may some time help in publicity generating interest but the same may effect the performance of the film.

Some decades back Ramoji Rao’s Pratighatana on Usha Kiron Movies was engulfed in controversy and it helped in the film minting money at box office. The film generated lot of controversy as it was based on some unsocial elements in Vijayawada. Now T activists are venting their anger on Cameraman Ganga to Rambabu.

This is not for the first time Pawan Kalyan’s film is in controversy. Earlier protesters cooled only after his film’s title ‘Komaram Puli’ was changed to ‘Puli’. Even for Mahesh-Puri’s ‘Business Man’lot of hue and cry was witnessed over the song ‘we are bad boys’ which hurt feelings of hindus. No one can beat RGV when it comes to controversies. His film ‘Rakta Charitra’ based on Anantapuram faction leaders courted trouble even before its release. Similarly he generated trouble by announcing ‘Bezawada Rowdeelu’ with Naga Chaitanya. Later it was changed to ‘Bezawada’. More recently he even announced ‘Reddygaru Poyaru’ for his new film.

Controversy on Vidya Balan’s ‘Dirty Picture’ is well known. Silk Smitha’s relatives even approached court to stall the release of the film. Innocence of Muslims was banned across the world for its controversy.

Protesters’ double standards

On one or the other emotive issue some few people take to streets, hold huge demonstrations, damage public and private properties. But one wonder whether those who are protesting are sincere in their protests. During their protests they in their media meets mix up all issues and try to strike chord with people on one or the other issue.

Yesterday saw huge demonstrations against Pawan Kalyan, Puri Jagannath’s ‘Cameraman Gangato Rambabu’. They alleged that their feelings were hurt but instead of confining themselves to the scenes which hurt their sentiments they targeted personal lives.They spit venom on the film that women are shown in bad taste, media in bad taste etc, etc.
One wonder why protesters have the double standards on these following issues

1. On women shown in bad light, there are many films in which women was shown just as glamor doll. These are the same people who enjoy to mass beats and item numbers. At that time did they not remember these issues. Why did they not protest for ‘Sorry Teacher’ and other A rated films. Most of the songs have vulgar meanings, double meaning dialogues. Hero will be seen teasing heroine, forcing them to love him irrespective of her disinterest. It is a well known fact that due to love story trash films, there were many acid attacks. Where were all these protestors. Many feel that even they indulge in eve teasing but when the same happen to their mom and sisters they will be up in arms.

2. When Nayanatara was selected for Sri Rama Rajyam many protested how could she be selected for Seetha role. But does not the same apply for Balakrishna who acted in many roles in which he killed many people. Now they allege that Pawan is a womaniser, left one and married another. They are aware that personal and professional should not be mixed. Should be confined to the topic. Pawan married another person long time back. Did they not remember this while watching Gabbar Singh and dancing to his dances.

3. They allege media is shown in bad light. Everyone is aware media is not sincere. They support one party or other. While Studio N and ETV,ABN support TDP , Sakshi supports YSRCP, T News TRS and others Cong. So where is impartiality. They only work for TRP ratings.

4. They call for attacks on personal properties. They know that they have political links and they can get away with what ever they do. Other wise any person will have fear for police cases.

5. Everyone praised Jai Bolo Telangana. Even censor board cut 12 scenes for the objectionable content.

Many wonder how it was selected as best film for national integration. Now Shankar is issuing statements on feelings. Did he not think twice while hurting sentiments of other region.Some are calling for ban on andhra film makers in telangana. Anyway from now onwards they will think twice on releasing their films in Nizam as they crushed their own son Dil Raju. It will affect lot of lives of telangana people who are dependent on films.

6.Everyone knows KCR and TJAC needs one issue to get into media as they are facing identity crisis. They are using the film for their advantage.

Sharmila’s ‘Q-A’ Sessions

YSRCP Jagan’s arrow Sharmila is finding innovative ways to connect with common people. Unlike Chandra Babu Naidu of TDP who is delivering speeches and informing what he would do if he comes to power and how Cong ruled Govt worsened the state condition at present, Sharmila is engaging people with her innovative ‘Q-A’ sessions.

She started engaging commoners by asking them whether they liked the rule of the current Govt, whether they are getting the benefits of Govt schemes,whether her dad YSR’s schemes are still implemented by the present Govt. When she got thunderous response from people in unison that they are not getting any benefits and even the schemes were stopped by the current Cong Govt, she started lambasting the Cong and even Chandra Babu for colluding with Cong.

YSRCP leaders are doubly happy with their strategy of brining in Sharmila to counter Babu is paying rich dividends. Unlike Babu, young Sharmila is going at supersonic speed galvanizing party cadre and though crowds reduced compared to first day swelling, their enthusiasm did not decrease. Crowds started taking autographs from Ambati Rambabu, popular figure of YSRCP who will be coming often in TVs.It has to be seen how Cong and TDP will deal with growing craze for Sharmila and her innovative ways of mingling with people.

T-divides Mom Sonia and Son Rahul

Telangana movement which started of on a small scale now reached such high propositions that it divided people of the state across regions thanks to various politicians who started playing politics over the emotional issue rising the tempers. Now according to sources the issue even divided all powerful mom and son. They are none other than Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi. Buzz is while Sonia is in favor of granting telangana state so that it can reap in benefits at least in telangana region along with KCR who will be merging his TRS, her son Rahul feels that for few seats in telangana they can not divide the state. Sources say that he at the last moment impressed upon his mother to change her mind.

He said even if the party loses seemandhra to Jagan, he will ultimately support Cong at center as many times he advocated his views. He said the same cannot be expected of KCR who is unreliable and even after merging his party, he may at later stage come out of Cong and form his own party and claim credit for the formation of telangana thus leaving Cong in lurch.

Insiders reveal after seemandhra MPs came to know that Sonia is getting influenced by KCR and was on the verge of declaring telangana, they impressed upon Rahul with these ideas. They even threatened to resign enmasse in case of favorable decision on telangana.

TJAC out to destroy Tollywood

It seems TJAC and other organisations that are fighting for the cause of telangana with their actions are out to destroy Tollywood. They may take shelter citing sentiments and feelings but the way they attacked Pawan Kalyan’s ‘Cameraman Gangato Ramababu’ producer and director’s properties even after they gave press statements that their film doesn’t contain anything objectionable that hurts their feelings and if they come they will delete those scenes shows they are not for telangana or sentiments but to extract money in the name of sentiment.

Top tollywood personalities many times issued statements that they are not against any region and everyone is equal for them. Inspite of that many times TJAC and OU like some hooligans disrupted shootings on trivial issues. Tollywood film makers in private feel that if this continues it will be huge loss to the industry and in future film makers may think of even shifting the base to some other safer regions.

Many times even law enforcing authorities denied permissions to film makers citing law and order problem for the films on telangana issue and people feel that this kind of acts from any organisation will have direct bearing on lakhs of people who make their livelihood depending on the industry.
