CMGR Screening stalled at several places in Nizam

Pawan Kalyan’s Cameraman Gangatho Rambabu has been facing the ire of Telangana students and activists. They have stopped the screening of Cameraman Gangatho Rambabu in Hyderabad and Warangal. The film’s screening was stopped at Aradhana theatre this morning and Osmania Universtity’s students took away the reel box from the theatre. In Warangal, T-activists tore away the cutouts and flexis of the movie put up at the Amrutha theatre.

The activists alleged that the director Puri and actor Pawan Kalyan belittled the great Telangana movement with their half-knowledge dialogues in the film and scenes on Telugu Talli and ‘Udyamam’.

Quid Pro Quo in Nandi awards!

This year the decision making for Nandi awards for Jury became extremely easy. Their work of satisfying heroes, fans associations and different groups in the industry was solved even before the jury was constituted. This is because of the entries that came for each category and while this reduced the opposition and criticism from various circles in the aftermath of jury decision, this time quid pro quo according to telangana and andhra regions also solved their problem. In order to pacify both of them the jury gave one award to andhraite and another to telanganaite.

One look a Committee Chairman Gopla Reddy’s comments that a star is different and an actor. He said for the award one should consider whehte an actor did justice to the story and his role. He went on to add that Balakrishna and Nagarjuna did justice to their roles in Sri Rama Rajyam and Rajanna but in those films, other things come into prominence unlike Dookudu where the entire film revolves around Mahesh Babu. Since SRR and Rajanna’s script did not revolve around heroes, they did not become best actors.

This is really startling. If Chairman wants to support Mahesh he could refer to his performance in Dookudu rather than belittling other stars. Stars performance should be analysed according to their role and how well they performed rather than other aspects. One should not forget that Jagapathy Babu’s role in Antapuram was of limited duration but still fetched him bet support cast some time back. Silmilar is the case of other awards. One gets feeling that since other small makers couldn’t afford to pay Rs 5000 and enter in the fray the awards selection got easy. Jury selected 100% Love for best family film. How can they select the film as in one of the song ‘pilla nee bavanistava song.. consisted of vulgar lyrics in the middle. How could they have neglected ‘Solo’ with decent storyline?.

Best song award went to ‘Amma Awani’. true that the song is well written but the lyrics are nothing new. How could the jury missed Seetaramasastry’s ‘Jagore Jago’ in Golkonda High School and his innovative and creative usage of words. Similar is Best book on films for Eswar biography. The book is not on films but is just a biography. Only Jury can answer these pertinent questions.

Slow pace killed Kollywood creativity

Kollywood film makers are renowned for their creativity and this special aspect made many in Tollywood wonder looking at them in awe. Be it Shankar, Maniratnam, KV.Anand, Murugadoss, all spellbound movie lovers with their out of the box subjects. To the top of it stars like Surya, Vikram, Kamal, Rajani and even youngsters never shy away from experimenting unlike tollywood heroes.

Recently two films came amidst huge expectations and they are VIkram’s ‘Siva Tandavam’ and Surya’s ‘Brothers’. Both the heroes are known for their penchant for creativity and this time both tried to attract all with their acting. While Chiya Vikram turned blind intelligence officer who was out to prove his innocence, Surya came as conjoint twins in dual role. Both had extremely innovative script and were filmed beautifully in exotic locations of overseas. However slow pace in the films killed the kollywood film makers creativity.

Many who watched the films felt though the films storyline is unique, the slow narration tested the patience of the viewers. They even expressed surprise that though Tandavam film makers shortened the film in the original, the film makers did not release the shortened version. Brothers film makers after the first day talk took steps and shorted the film by 30 min.

Golden days in Tollywood

New era in Tollywood is ushering golden days in the industry much to the delight of all. This resulted in increase in market range for Tollywood heroes and the overseas collections itself vouch for it as a powerful proof. Though some in the industry are highlighting negatives like increase in piracy and even increased cost in production of films they were proven wrong as many small films with strong storyline made it big at box office.

Top heroes films are also minting money at box office and the Power Star Pawan Kalyan’s latest release ‘Cameraman Gangato Rambabu’ already got the hit talk and is all set for collections tsunami at box office. This year Tollywood’s collection saga is on a high starting from ‘Business Man’ and with ‘Racha’, ‘Julai’, ‘Gabbar Singh’ among others.

To the top of it bollywood film makers are competing with each other to bag the rights of top heroes films and with a popular media channel spending lavishly for satellite rights of top heroes films, though film makers are spending more, they are making huge profits happily.

Upcoming films Damarukam, SVSC, Badshah, Shadow, Mirchi are eying silver screen success. However film makers should understand that investing in spineless films will spell doom for them from which they can never recover.

Power Star’s war with Leader

Tollywood has witnessed many fascinating battles but this is something new. Power Star Pawan Kalyan is engaged in a powerful battle with Leader Rana. If one thinks that he is on virtual war with Tollywood hot hunk Leader Rana then they are mistaken as both of them share cordial relationship and are best friends.

In his powerful media entertainer ‘Cameraman Gangato Rambabu’, Pawan as Rambabu took on aspiring CM, Rana Babu played by Prakash Raj. One wonder why Puri created a role naming it after Leader Rana. Fans are already speculating whether Pawan or Puri at any time had any issues with Rana Daggubati.

However while many are thinking on these lines, main opposition party TDP had different views and they even vent their anger by tearing off posters and burning the flexis of the CGR. They allege that Pawan and Puri are targeting their president Chandra Babu Naidu and his son Lokesh. They reason out that Kota’s name Jawahar ‘Naidu’ and Prakash Raj name Rana ‘Babu’ resemble that of Chandra Babu ‘Naidu’ and Lokesh ‘Babu’.

Only film makers, Puri Jagannath or Pawan can clear the rumors and misunderstandings before these become big. Mega fans however are delighted at their hero’s powerful media war on political leaders.

CM hits T-Ministers to boundary

Telangana ministers in CM Kiran cabinet and Telananga MPs many times in their press conferences revealed that CM Kiran is on his way. Dy CM Damodara Rajanarasimha like a silent killer formed many groups against CM Kiran and stopped cooperating with CM which showed in the dialy functioning of the Govt.

To add to Kiran’s woes T MPs led by KK always spit venom on him on one issue or the other. They decided to meet high command and PM Manmohan and stress the urgency on telangana formation.

However in the midst of all this Home Minister Shinde made powerful statement pouring cold water on the aspirations of T Reps. He said telangana is not the only issue Country has and its formation is not possible with out consensus. This left many wonder whether CM Kiran’s Delhi trip is paying rich dividends. It was reported even in media that CM Kiran met Sonia, Rahul, Azad, Shinde, Motilal Vora, Vayalar Ravi along with others and explained how he successfully tackled the T-march on Sep 30th without any major incidents.

Now with Sindhe coming with this statement political analysts feel that CM hit T-Minsters to boundary to score winning runs.

Congress’ child play with ‘T’ coin

Telangana people and telangana sentiment seems to have become laughing stock for the Congress High Command. If one watches the actions of Union Govt and the statements issued by the ministers one gets the feeling that Cong is playing like a small child with ‘T’ coin. Everyday conflicting reports come in media from its own sources in Govt. While some say it is in favor of telangana formation and anytime an announcement to this effect will be coming in two days later which there will be cabinet expansion in which KCR will be inducted as Union Minister, another report will come with Home Minister contradicting the earlier statement that formation of telangana is not possible at all and there won’t be even an all party meet in near future.

Many feel that Congress is deliberately planting these stories in the media to leave people in confusion while placating its leaders from both regions who take refuge in these stories and try to take people from both the regions for a ride.

One wonder when all this drama on telangana will be stopped and a permanent solution will be found so that people of the state can live in peace.

Though TDP president Chandra Babu was a step ahead and started his padayatra after getting info from his spies that Jagan was planning to go on state wide tour,Jagan unleased his most powerful weapon, sister Sharmila.

Sharmila who created a sensation during the byelections snatching many seats from opponents, hit the road and roared that she is arrow unleashed from Jagan’s Bow. Now one is left to wonder whom is Jagan’s arrow is aimed at. She started off blasting Chandra Babu who is currently doing ‘Vastunna Meekosam’ padayatra saying her dad YSR did more good work to poor in just 5yrs than Chandra Babu who ruled the state for 9 yrs. She alleged that Babu is hijacking his dad’s schemes claiming to be his dream projects.

The entire path was filled with people and it surely will send danger signals not only to TDP whom Sharmila is currently targeting but also Congress. It has to be seen how congress will tackle this impending danger. Already her yatra fire reached Cong High Command with even Rahul Gandhi inquiring about it.

The round the clock non stop shooting schedules have taken heavy toll Shruti Haasan’s health so much that she had to be admitted to a hospital and treated for exhaustion and dehydration.

She has been continuously shooting for “Ramaiya Vasta Vaiya” with director Prabhu Deva in Pune. She just took a day off and travelled to Chennai for some work commitment and collapsed there following which she was rushed to a hospital.As soon as she was discharged, Shruti flew back to Pune to shoot for a song that is being directed by Prabhu Deva himself. The movie unit is reportedly in all praises for her commitment..

Gauravam nears completion

Balayya decides to go for Hair Transplantation

T-Media discriminated?

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh visited Hyderabad to attend world summit on Bio Diversity couple of days back. During the occasion the city was turned into virtual fortress with even PM choosing to fly rather than travel on road fearing protests from those who are fighting for the formation of telangana. However even then some protesters managed to reach Samshabad airport and flew down black baloons and sported black badges to vent their feelings.

This had immediate effect on law enforcing authorities who in their zeal to impress upon their top bosses stopped even media and news reporters from the region of telangana. This made many furious and many were seen questioning angrily whether there was ban on media as a whole or only T-media is banned with discrimination.

Even after two days after those incidents media started demanding answers from Home Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy and others. Botsa Satyanarayana responding to media questions said there was no black or white list for media and who ever stopped media did not do the right thing.He promised to speak to DGP regarding the incident. However many were left wondering whom is Botsa targeting with his comments?.

TJAC thunderbolts for TDP

TDP and its cadre has taken its president Chandra Babu Naidu’s state wide padayatra as prestige issue. Currently Babu is busy mingling with the people of seemandhra and in the mean time TDP cadre in telangana are getting ready with their preparations to accord grand welcome to their chief in Telangana when he arrives there. However not all is well for them as TJAC is up in arms to stop Babu during his visit though he sent a letter to PM asking for an all party meet on telangana.

In the heart of telangana at Mahaboobnagar district, TJAC already started protests against Babu’s ‘Mee Kosam Lekha Rasa’ paa yatra. As a part of protests they started burning an effigy of Babu and even started shouting slogans against Makthal TDP MLA Dayakar Reddy who happened to pass through that location.

A furious Dayakar Reddy entered into an argument with TJAC leaders which later led to full scale violence. Dayakar Reddy supporters attacked TJAC leaders and when even TJAC leaders got into act, police entered the scene to quell the violence. It has to be seen what will be the response when Chandra Babu Naidu enters Telanagana for his pada yatra.

Tamannah is playing the role of a camera woman in the movie who is reportedly tom boyish in the movie. While Pawan humbly calls Tamannah ‘Evandi, garu’ etc.. Tamannah calls Pawan ‘Nuvvu’ etc..

The expectations are movie are heaving heavily as the movie is all set for release tomorrow. Pawan Kalyan is playing the role of a TV Reporter and Tamannah plays his assistant as Cameraman. Puri Jagannath is directing Pawan Kalyan after 10 years of their Badri. Mani Sharma is composing the music. DVV Danayya is producing the movie on his Universal media banner.
