He played most of the roles in his career and is mostly remembered for his superlative action and dialogue delivery in mythological and devotional films. Infact he achieved stardom by bringing stardom to negative roles in holy scriptures stunning movie lovers and leaving film critics in awe. More than his performance in the roles of Lord Krishna and Rama, he scored marks for his acting talent as Ravana, Keechaka, Duryodhan, Karna and others.

He said His dad doned the roles of all except for sage ‘Narada’ and journalist role. He said he is lucky and proud enough to don both the roles. He said he his honored to don the role of a journalist in Srimannarayana as only journalist and artist has the power to wakeup the sleeping society.

Tollywood’s Manmadhudu Akkineni Nagarjuna is celebrating his 53rdd Birthday today. Even at this age, the senior actor has his hands full of big ticket films. His much-anticipated devotional film is all set for an early September release, followed by Damarukham in November. His Love Story which is currently being shot will hit the screens early next year.

He is doing a film, Bhai, under the direction of Veerabhadram which will go on to sets very soon. Also he’s planning to do another film featuring his father, Akkineni Nageswara Rao and his son Naga Chaitanya. “Director Vikram Kumar came up with a very interesting script and we liked it,” he says.

Young Rebel Star Prabhas and Power Star Pawan Kalyan are popular in Tollywood for their breathtaking mass masala entertainers. Both enjoy immense mass following irrespective of the success or failure of their films at the box office. Power Star Pawan Kalyan rewrote all existing records in the industry turning ‘Gabbar Singh’ and is turning ‘Cameraman Gangato Rambabu’ under Puri Jagannath’s direction. Prabhas who became the ‘Darling’ of beautiful females,scored ‘Mr.Perfect’ hit previous year and is treading extremely carefully to score a hat trick turning ‘Rebel’ this year.

Both these stars go to any extent in impressing and delighting their fans making them happy in the process. Pawan as ‘Cameraman’ long time back revealed his wish to shoot with his fans for a special song soon. This became a sensation with all his fans across the world. Even tollywood is waiting eagerly on how the song would be filmed.

In the mean time Prabhas chose to be different and is already defeating Pawan with his actions. For his upcoming film a special song will be shot on small children with special talents. Sources say the song will be really touching and emotional moving the hearts of all movie lovers. While all are giving thumbs up to Rebel Prabhas for his noble act some are pointing that Pawan is not lagging behind as he already signed a check of Rs 10lacs for a school run for specially challenged people.

Mega Power Star Ram Charan Teja is undettered even when his dad Mega Star Chiranjeevi left him in lurch refusing to star in a special role in his bollywood debut film ‘Zanjeer’. Cherry is turning genex angry young man reprising the role of then Ambitabh Bachchan in Zaneer during 70s. He is romancing Priyanka Chopra in the film which is a bilingual directed by Apurva Lakhia.

Now Ram Charan who is turning ‘Nayak’ under VV.Vinayak’s direction is all set to take on dreaded ‘Khalnayak’ Sunjay Dut in ‘Zanjeer’. Sources reveal that since first select Arjun Rampal walked out of the film citing dates problem, film makers roped in Khalnayak for the villain role. Sunju Baba who scared all in ‘Agneepath’ readily agreed for the role and is now getting ready to scare ‘Nayak’ Cherry.

Cherry should keep it in view that it is not easy to take on ‘Kahalnayak’ Sanjay Dutt and should concentrate more on his expressions and seriousness in his eyes. He should realize that it is not that easy to be ‘Nayak’ like romancing hot babes Kajal and Amala Paul or receiving ‘Subhaleka’ from Amala. One has to wait and see who will emerge victorious in this interesting duel between ‘Nayak’ and ‘Khalnayak’. ‘Zanjeer’ is expected to hit the screens this year end and with ‘Khalnayak’ entering the scene, stakes are high on the film.

Tollywood has many heroes who have prefixes in front of their names signifying their stardom. Whatever may be the star status all are busy doling out monotonous mass entertainers. Except for masses all movie lovers get a feeling that except for the change in the star cast, director and produce names every thing will be same in the storyline with few predictable changes here and there. Many point out that being the main reason why Tollywood films are not making it to the award rounds though the industry makes highest number of films every year.

Compared to that, even young heroes from kollywood are winning national awards. Some of the stars whom tollywood branded as not of star material went on to become promising stars in tamil. They include Vikram,Vishal, Srikanth(Sriram), Anjali etc. Many of us hate to see the faces of tamil heroes like Vijay and Dhanush as they don’t qualify to hero qualities like looks and charms. Dhanush scored stunning hat trick of hits on his debut and went on to become Rajanikanth’s son-in-law. Even then he remained down to earth, listened to directors and went on to win national award for ‘Adukalam’. Similar is the case with Vikram who went on to win national award for ‘Pitamagan’(Sivaputrudu). Buzz is this year there will be stiff competition for national award between Vikram and Vishal for their performances in ‘Deiva Thirumagal’(Naanna) and ‘Avan Ivan’(Vaadu Veedu).

Many feel that our heroes should forget about their star status and fan following and follow director diligently in order to have a shot at national awards.
