Ruling Congress Govt is so busy with setting its house in order with its ministers fighting for their selfish ends, that babies across the state are left to die in various hospitals. While Rua Hospital in Tirupathi is already in news, most recently MGM Hospital in Warangal is in news as each day 3-4 baby deaths are being witnessed. Finally Ministers Kondru Murali, Basavaraj Sarayya and Ramreddy Venkatreddy found some time to visit the hospital along with their supporters.

They found immense opposition not only from the parents who have lost their cute little ones but also from Jr Docs of the hospital. Parents stopped the ministers from entering hospital and questioned when they have lost their kids, why did they come after their deaths and for what they have come. Police to please ministers started stopping people and when they shouted slogans against govt and ‘CM Down Down’, they ever happily lathi charged poor parents. Irony is that while Ministers were visiting another baby breathed last at the hospital. Many say the irresponsible authorities and Ministers should be hanged in full public view so that they will get to know their responsibilities.Many feel unless until some direct action is taken, these politicians will be busy fighting for their selfish ends.

Panchaythi Raj Minister Jana Reddy is the all powerful politician in Andhra Politics. His name always crops up when ever news of CM change does round in the state. Being the senior most leader from the region of Telangana adds up to his advantage and his close association with Union Minister Jaipal Reddy who has immense clout in Congress Core Committee and High Command including Sonia Gandhi, raises his stakes. Even then to the surprise of many Jana is longing for freedom and he revealed his wish many times in his media interactions.

If one thinks that Jana is longing for freedom from firebrand politics and T-turmoil that is burning the state then they are mistaken. He expressed his wish and requested media not to trouble him asking him difficult questions in his pres conference. He said he has full understanding on all subjects and problems prevailing in the state and requested scribes to understand him and cooperate with him. He said state is troubled by current and drought due to nil rain fall even in the rainy season. He asked people and even opposition to understand the situation.

When an enthusiastic scribe questioned him is that not the lack of foresight and apathy on the part of Govt, he asked the scribe to remember his earlier request not to fire him with any questions. He once again asked freedom from fiery questions.

TDP Supremo Chandra Babu Naidu who for over a month raised one issue and other demanding answers from CM Kiran and the State Govt, suddenly disappeared much to the surprise of all. Second rung leaders of TDP are in disarray and could be seen in their deviating statements on various issues. In the meantime opposition parties are trying to corner TDP on various issues. Wife of Sr.NTR, Lakshmi Parvathi, seized the opportunity and lashed out at Naidu demanding explanations for his sudden Dubai trips. She alleged that Babu is involved in ‘D’ business shocking TDP leaders.

Lakshmi Parvathi even demanded CBI inquiry on Babu’s ‘D’ trips and his dark ‘D’ business. She posed questions to Babu through media asking ‘Why will he go abroad and maintain that as a secret. I’m writing to Prime Minister Manmohan to order a probe into his foreign tours and bank transactions. Naidu is the biggest scamster than anyone else’. She wondered what could be the reason for his sudden disappearance for Naidu’s sudden absence.

Lakshmi Parvathi says Naidu has many benami business in Dubai and Singapore in real estate and hotels and that was the reason why his trip details are not available with TDP. However TDP says Babu is on family holiday and is not accountable for party. Wonder what Babu has to say on this whole issue. Whether he will reveal something new on his ‘D’ Business?

State of Andhra Pradesh is reeling under acute power shortage both politically and electrically. While CM Kiran is taking classes in his ‘Indiramma Bata’ to poor and general public on saving power and paying bills on time, the situation is entirely different on political ground. All the political leaders right from ministers to opposition leaders owe electricity board huge amounts of power bills. It is shame on EB department, APCPDCL that instead of recovering them, is trying to give shock to common man by collecting surplus charges for even the previous years. Many feel that even higher authorities at EB will also owe pending bills to the board.

A startling revelation shows that in the month of July the following leaders owe State Govt and EB these unpaid amounts. Ministers Galla Arunakumari Rs 62,657, Mukesh Gowd Rs 33,188, DK.Aruna Rs 25,015,Danam Nagender Rs 17,321,Erasu Pratap Tedy Rs 11,021, P.Sudarsan Reddy Rs 6,346. CM Kiran’s camp office owe more than one lakh each month. Opposition leaders who are protesting in front of Khairatabad EB office also have unpaid amounts. TDP Naidu owes Rs 84,352. THough an official suggested for Rs 20000 cap on minister’s usage, Govt did not find it fit to respond. This shows how Govt and Opposition is taking people for a ride.

Political field and politicians are the only ones who did not feature in Guinness Book of World Records or any other records. None in the media or any organisation give awards for any politicians for breaking records. This is leaving many politicians rue their field as if any awards are instituted for politicians they are confident that all would be bagged by Indian Politcians and that too from the state of Andhra Pradesh, doing India proud. They cite the examples of how film makers are advertising success of their films and heroes and also highlighting collection records broken now and then by various films. Similar is the case where whenever sports persons create records, their names will be mentioned till eternity. These facilities are deprived for politicians.

Now politicians say they have decided to break records and enter into the record books. It seems many are inspired by TDP’s Chandra Babu Naidu who is making his workers to do something or the other and send it on his name to the Guinness Book of World Records. Congress is ruing the fact that when they are thinking of rewriting existing records in giving good governance all that is stopping only with promos and ads. Some who are watching and hearing the words of politicians say that if any they need any awards, they will surely emerge winners with out any competition in corruption and getting arrested while in power.

Yesteryear tollywood star Vijayashanthi has lot of fans among movie lovers. Many are smitten by her daring and dashing skills and hail her as the Lady Amitabh of Indian Film Industry. True to the title she attained superstardom competing against top heroes during her time. Her roles in ‘Pratighatana’ and ‘Kartavyam’ are still remembered and most of the new comers dream of doing such kind of roles. At that time there was a saying that all the top heroes envied her for her stardom equivalent to them and some even postponed their film’s releases when her film was due for release.

She dabbled in politics and tried to create her own brand image and become firebrand politician. She tried her luck with BJP and then floated her own party before settling in TRS. She tried to whip up telangana passions but her wrong timing during death of babies at Nilofer Hospital backfired on her. From then on she has been maintaining stoic silence. Many wondered what was the logic behind Lady Amitabh’s long silence.

Some say she is planning to quit TRS as she doesn’t have any future as the party is fast becoming family kingdom and with KCR’s daughter Kavitha making known her political ambitions, she will soon be minimized. 

TDP and Congress parties have their own fire brand women leaders and even YSRCP. She is once again eying a home coming to BJP. It has to be seen how her stars will shine in the next assembly elections.
