2014 state assembly elections may be long way to go but already political parties are busy chalking out their strategies to capture power and the coveted CM post. While TDP of which Chandra Babu Naidu is the president, announced that it will give 100 seats to BCs in the next elections other parties are revising their plans. Already TDP office is full of BC leaders who are keen on making use of Naidu’s bumper offer. All these leaders of various BC organizations in front of TDP office started lavishing praises on Naidu in their media conferences.

With Niadu trying to impress BCs, CM Kiran Kumar Reddy from Congress is on tour of entire state with his ‘Indiramma Bata’. He is trying to influence girijans and adivasis and other tribal people announcing various schemes for them. The very next moment many girijan and tribal leaders met him at camp office and immersed him in praises.

However both the parties started accusing each other that all those tribal leaders or BC leaders are not coming on their own but they are paid to come and shower praises. Analysts say that just these two parties are not leaving anything to chance and competing with each other in making free offers to various caste leaders and also go hammer and tongs at each other. It has to be seen which caste will swing towards which party in elections at later stage.

What would be the condition of people when they go to CM to get permission but in turn find some of their earlier liberties snatched away from them?.Media personnel experienced the same shocking experience when they went to Secretariat to invite Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy for Iftar party. All the muslim media journalists went to the CM, to invite him for Iftar party and some over enthusiasts in the media expecting CM Kiran to dole out various offers went over board.

CM on listening to their invitation, agreed to come and grace the occasion having lunch with them and then enquired them where the lunch would be hosted. Happy media professionals informed media that it was not far away from his block and they are organising in front of Secretariat, in Media Lounge. CM put a questionable and expressionless face informed them that the Govt was considering to do away with media lounge and asked them to look for an alternate venue. CM left media in awe without waiting for their reply.

Now shocked media journalists saddened, started consoling each other. As if this was not enough CM Kiran Kumar who agreed to grace their Iftar party later sent message to them that he wouldn’t be able to attend their function.

In politics power does many things and people give value to the politician based on the power he holds. There again once he holds a post people analyze the power the post is associated with and how much clout that post has. No one care for the person who loses power and that is the reason why politicians cling to power even when they are on their death bed. However to the shock of all Andhra Pradesh’s Roads and Buildings Minister Dharmana Prasada Rao who tendered his resignation following CBI including his name in the chargesheet on Vanpic land allotment, is witnessing his popularity soar in view of his cabinet colleagues, party workers and others.

The moment of his resignation was heard, Ministers, MLAs and Congress senior leaders thronged his house. Some in the congress leaders were seen remarking that ‘Power’less Dharmana seems to be more popular than ‘Power’ful Dharmana. Many say with his popularity on rise who knows in future he may be in race for the CM post. Some analysts predict that at present his stars are on rise and he is enjoying all importance and media attention on equal footing to CM Kiran Kumar Reddy.

This shows anything may happen in politics. Currently Dharmana may be down and out but people will be mistaken if they write him off completely.

Darsakaratna Dasari Narayana Rao is getting ready to teach his bete noire Mega Star Chiranjeevi an unforgettable lesson. Dasari has been nursing injuries and hurt ego ever since he was sidelined by Sonia Gandhi and Congress High Command by stripping him of the Union Minister of State at the Central Govt and then later not re nominating again for the Rajya Sabha. His fury increased in multiple bounds when Chiranjeevi who merged his PRP into Congress was sent to Rajya Sabha. Dasari who was waiting for an opportune time is setting his sights on joining YSRCP which is emerging as a strong force in Andhra Pradesh. Even its chief YS.Jagan is not averse to bringing him into the fold.

However Dasari’s political roads are meeting with Coal Blocks filled with scams. Recently CAG unearthed a huge scam worth crores of rupees more than that of 2G in Union Coal Ministry. Entire opposition is up in the arms and now demand is growing for the CBI enquiry ordering investigation into the whole issue. Opposition is asking that the organisation should inquire not only present ministers but also former ministers who worked in Coal Ministry. As such Dasari Narayana Rao worked as Minister of State in Coal Ministry when Sibhu Soren was the Union Coal Minister. Opposition feels that Dasari might have expressed his opinions and might have kept some in writing in his communication with the PM Manmohan though the Ministry comes under the direct control of PM. They are even questioning if Dasari had not communicated with PM regarding the issue then what was he doing as a Minister during his entire tenure. Surely tough days ahead for Dasari.
