Gas blocks on Jaipal’s CM road

Petroleum Minister at Centre, Jaipal Reddy would have never expected even in his dreams that CM aspirations would take such a heavy dent. When ever there was speculation of Change in CM post in Andhra Pradesh, Jaipal Reddy’s name used to crop up. Telangana MLAs and Ministers support him as he hails from the region and hope his ascendence to CM post, will be a signal for the formation of Telangana. Similarly MLAs and MPs from other regions support him as in many instances Jaipal voiced statements for united Andhra Praesh. Jaipal Reddy however decided to bid his time as he felt the situation and conditions in state his not conducive for him to become CM. He was of the opinion that with byelections every now and then and ministers divided on regional lines it would be difficult for him to get along, which tarnishes his image.

However when reports of change of CM started coming from Delhi and CM reeling under byelection losses, many felt that this time Jaipal will take CM post and try to rejunevate the party and cadre. Suddenly all his dreams were dashed with AP reeling in actute power shortage and shocking revelation that AP’s power has been diverted for Maharashtra’s project. While this generated lot of controversy, many made representation to PM in the leadership of CM kiran Kumar. Jailpal till now did not open his mouth raising suspicions about his role. While some tried to support him, many did not buy their argument that all happened prior to him becoming minister and he wasn’t even aware of the fact. Many feel Kiran with gas issue checkmated Jaipal’s moves of becoming CM of AP. Kiran’s moves finally evoked meek response from Jaipal stating that he has made representation to PM and the problem would be solved soon.

Congress self immolating itself

Strange are the ways of Congress. Many feel that Congress is on self immolation with various unpopular measures. Both its governments at State and Center are following same measures so that one gets the feeling that is is keen on wiping out the party in the State of Andhra Pradesh with out any trace. Many started comparing Congress rule YSR era and non YSR era and they list out that during YSR regime while YSR used to announce pro poor schemes and policies even before TDP chief Chandra Babu Naidu could think of to include in the manifesto, present Cong Govt are keen on doing away with all the schemes while Naidu is promising the same. Recently Chandra Babu promised 100 assembly seats to BCs to woo them away from Congress. The govt is doing away with BC fees reimbursements setting conditions and eligibility norms. Though this is attracting strong opposition from his own ministers and rest of the cadre, CM Kiran is hellbent on implementing them.

Already increasing power cuts, acute water problems,.increase in petrol prices, steep rise in pulses, vegetables is making poor furious about the current Congress govt and these steps will make them look for alternatives. With ministers,MLAs and other representatives keen on keeping their posts or getting higher or new posts neglecting causes of people, Congress is sure to face anti incumbency wave in next elections. It has to be seen who will benefit in the final out come during 2014 elections and whether anyone would be able to take advantage of such situation.

Balakrishna’s Cinema Classes

Natasimha Balakrishna is in a hurry to get his plans in order to realize his mission 2014. He is already preparing a base for himself and is laying strong foundation for his grand political entry. He tested waters in various bylections that were held in AP on different occasions and involved himself in campaigning, giving speeches and also performing some histrionics at his sister’s place. He has got two years to take full fledged plunge into politics and in the mean time he is getting his house in order. Currently on film front he has completed 97 films with ‘Srimannarayana’ and is keen on completing 100 films before signing off in style paying floral tributes for his dad, acting legend and former CM of AP, NTR. Once he bids adieu to film industry he doesn’t want nandamuri fans to experience his vacuum and so is training his son Mokshagna to make his tollywood sonner than later.

Many feel that Mokshagna’s tollywood debut will coincide with Balakrishna’s political entry so that it will be beneficial in both ways. Balayya plans to use his son’s tollywood debut to market himself in political front and at the same time market his son in TFI using his brand image. He is taking his son Mokshagna along with him to various cine functions to give him the first hand experience of the atmosphere and make him get used to the environment so that he won’t feel like fish out of water on his tollywood debut. Balakrishna is seen taking cinema classes to his son Mokshagna about etiquette and grooming himself. Off late, Tollywood’s most successful director SS Rajamouli had started a strange trend of revealing movie story in advance and keeping the curiosity factors high because he has his own narration style. He did it for Marayada Ramanna and recently for Eega. And now, director Trivikram Srinivas did the same by revealing the main story of his up-coming movie Julayi.

In a recent TV interview this talented director says, “Arjun is happy-go-lucky youngster with an attitude to get rich over night and he doesn’t believe in hard earned moneyrather believes in easy money.At a certain point in the movie he falls in trouble with the money he earns by chance , he realizes his mistakes and changes his mind set. How he turns from a Street smart guy to a honest youngster forms the rest of the plot”.

Gopichand’s risky fight in Afghanistan

Gopichand and Taapsee along with director Chandrasekhar Yeleti and few technicians had recently shot a risky action sequence in Afghanistan on the backdrop of the unfamiliar buzkashi sport for their upcoming film. Buzkashi meaning ‘goat killing’, is the Afghan national sport about hunting mountain goats by horseriders and the one who pitches a dead goat across the goal line first wins.

Now the movie had a similar action sequence in which Gopichand is the horse-rider and Taapsee is the bait instead of a dead goat. The makers feel that this action sequence is sure to give the Telugu audiene a different experience. Earlier the 1970 adventure film ‘The Horsemen’ set in mountainous Afghanistan, had some scenes relating to this brutal sport.

BVSN Prasad is producing this untitled film on Sri Venkateswara Cine Chitra banner. The unit completed two shooting schedules and resumed its next in Ladhak.

Vettai Telugu remake goes on to sets

The much awaited Sunil and Naga Chaitanya-starrer new film, a remake of Vettai, started its first schedule of shoot from today in Hyderabad. Director Kishore Kumar Pardasani (Dolly) started shooting action sequences on the film’s lead cast at Aluminum factory near Gacchi Bowli.

The movie is the official remake of Super hit Tamil movie, Vettai. The film has Sunil reprising Madhavan’s role as a cop and Naga Chaitanya in Arya’s role as an unemployed youth. Sunil will join the shoot from 10th and had reportedly allocated 46 days to this movie. Konchem Ishtam Konchem Kashtam fame Dolly is directing this film. Andrea Jeremiah and Hansika will romance Sunil and Naga Chaitanya in the movie. Bellamkonda Suresh is producing it under Sri Sai Ganesh Productions banner.

Arya, Souryam and Don Seenu to be remade in Hindi

Bollywood has been remaking films since times immemorial but off-late filmmakers are opting for official remakes over blatant plagiarism. Ghajini, Wanted, Ready, Bodyguard just ascertain the fact. Incidentally, many of them are from Telugu. In this line Ramesh S Taurani of TIPS Industries bagged the remake rights of three super hit Telugu films – ‘Arya’, ‘Souryam’ and ‘Don Seenu’. Allu Arjun’s ‘Arya’ was a blockbuster in 2004 which was later dubbed in Malayalam and remade into several languages including Tamil, Oriya and Bengali. Similarly Gopichand’s ‘Souryam’ was also a box office hit and the same was dubbed in Malayalam too. The movie was remade in Tamil and Kannada too. Ravi Teja’s ‘Don Seenu’ was dubbed into Hindi, But producer Ramesh Taurani was keen to remake it with Bollywood stars.

Having bought all three films at one go, producer Taurani is now on a hunt for suitable artists for these remake versions. Apart from the remakes he wants to make films with original scripts as he aims at minimum 5 films a year.

Kajal Agarwal busy busy in Europe

The saying ‘Make hay when the sun shines’ suits Movie heroines more than any others in the world. And now Kajal Agarwal is doing exactly the same. She has multiple projects in hands in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi. She is touring the entire Europe in the name of shootings. Till recently she was shooting for NTR’s ‘Baadshah’ in Italy and Switzerland. After the shooting was wrapped up, she moved on to her next project ‘Sari Ostharu’ costarring Ravi Teja where the unit is canning few songs of the movie in different parts of Europe. After completion of this schedule, she will shift to the songs shoot of Surya’s ‘Duplicate’ (Maattrraan in Tamil) and finally she would join the shooting schedule of Ram Charan-VV Vinayak’s film in Iceland and Greece.

She will only return to India in September. However, this beauty says that she is not tired of shooting without any break and that it’s enjoyable because she plays different characters in all these films. The actress will join the sets of her second Bollywood movie ‘Special Chabbis’ after returning from the Europe trip.

Rajni’s Sivaji 3D in October

It is known to our readers that Super Star Rajinikanth and Sensational director Shankar’s first combination movie Sivaji is going to be made in 3D. The process of 3D conversion of the movie had began one year ago. The actual length of the movie is 185 minutes. As the process of 3D conversion is costly and time taking, the makers of the 3D version are cutting it down to 137 minutes with out disturbing the plot of the movie. Efforts are on to release the movie in the month of October.

Sunil, Isha Chawla starrer Radhakrishnudu is the Telugu remake of Popular Bollywood movie, Tanu weds Manu. The movie has reached its final stage of principal shooting. Most part of the film has already been completed in Rajahmundry. And the movie unit will fly down to Russia to shoot the songs.

Blade Babji fame Devi Prasad is directing the film and RB Choudhary and NV Prasad are jointly producing this film. Journey beauty turns Nanny

Actress Ananya who impressed Telugu audience with her performance and charm in Journey is going to play a nanny in in Malayali movie Thomson Villa.

“The story revolves around a young girl who struggles to make ends meet. While hunting for a job, she meets businesswoman who offers her a job. She gets appointed as the nanny to her five-year-old son. She then comes to Thomson Retreat Villa, which is located at a posh housing colony,” shares Abin, the director of the movie who is making his debut with this movie.

However, it is not Ananya who plays the protagonist in this film, but the five-year-old boy, played by Gaurisankar. Thomson Villa explores family relationships. “It’s about an incident that happens in the life of the little boy; how Ananya finds out about that and goes on to solve his problem,” explains the director.

Jalsa combination to begin in September

Jalsa which released in 2006 went on to become a huge hit. The movie made the fans mad with Power Star’s stylish action and Trivikram’s catchy dialogues and now the much awaited ‘Jalsa’ combination Power Star Pawan Kalyan and Trivikram Srinivas will join hands this September for a new movie. Trivikram’s Julayi is all set to release this week while Pawan Kalyan will wrap up the shooting of his current commitment, Cameraman Gangatho Rambabu by September and will begin Trivikram movie.

The script for the movie is almost complete. Trivikram will give final touches to the script before it goes on to sets. BVSN Prasad will be producing the movie under Sri Venkateswara Cine Chitra banner. Devi Sri Prasad will compose the music.

NTR decided to help the Producer

KS Rama Rao had produced NTR’s Dammu earlier this year. Even though the movie did decent business, Producer remained in losses due to the exorbitant prices involved. And NTR decides to help the producer. He gave his next project with Puri to KS Rama Rao. There were news few months ago that Puri Jagannath is going to direct Young Tiger NTR. However, the project did not materialize then for various reasons. NTR is currently busy with his Badshah and Puri with his Cameraman Gangatho Rambabu. Puri will movie on to his other project ‘Iddarammayilatho..’ with Allu Arjun. This movie will release in December this year.

And later, NTR – Puri Jagannath will have its muhurath in December. The regular shooting of the movie will begin once NTR completes his Badshah which is scheduled for Sankranthi release.

‘Item Songs’ shortcut to Stardom

Stunning beauties have found out new but sure short cut to stardom and it is none other than doing special sensuous songs or more popularly known as ‘item songs’. In olden days there used to be starts like Jyothi Lakshmi, Jaya Malini, Jyothi Chitra for doing special songs and they even after doing popular item numbers never used to enjoy the limelight or stardom. However all that changed during past two decades or so and it all started with Maniratnam’s ‘Dil Se’ in which Malaika Khan seduced Sharukh with her hot moves in the song ‘Chayya Chayya’.
