Labour Minister Danam Nagendar yesterday showed his dadagiri defying court orders and locking ISKON temple at Banjara Hills hurting the sentiments of millions of majority hindus in the country. The only sin ISKON temple authorities did was they approached court as its temple lands are encroached by people who started staying there.Court after hearing its petitions sent notices to them and they inturn approached the minister who took law in his hand and started behaving in a high handed manner. The land belongs to Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple at Banjara Hills.

Those who go into the details, the temple actually inherited huge acres of land from the rulers since long time. However all those lands are encroached by politicians and various powerful people and some by slum dwellers. The temple is now confined to small place on a hilly area and as politicians couldn’t occupy hilly area it was saved from encroachments. ISKON planned to take that temple for development when the whole issue happened. Now the minister entered and started giving it caste color.

Many angry devotees question whether the minister would dare to do the same and show his dadagiri had it been the case with a Church or a Mosque?..They feel minister hurt the sentiments locking the temple on Krrishnashtami festival, which is celebrated on Lord Krishna’s birth. This shows the attitude of Govt and though all are against poor driven out of their houses, it is the duty of the govt to provide alternate arrangements rather than precipitate the issue giving it a case color.

APCC chief Botsa Satyanaraya supporting the Govt decision on fees reimbursements questioned how could students expect fees reimbursements when they couldn’t even clear subjects. He said that it is a pure waste of public money spending on such kind of students. Though the Govt put the decision under abeyance after witnessing wide spread opposition within and outside the party, Botsa Satyanarayana speaking to media hurled these bombs on poor BC students. He questioned why Govt should spend unnecessarily and demanded discussion on the whole issue. He said till now Govt has been reimbursing fees for students though they couldn’t clear even a single subjects for whole four years which is denting Govt treasury. He said all those students are coming from institutions which don’t have basic facilities and even a single lecturer to complete the syllabus. He asked for total change in the system

While some feel his views may be fine, why only he should target BC students alone and what he has been doing for all these years when the scheme was implemented uninterrupted. Many question how come MPs and MLAs increase their salaries without doing any work or development programs for their constituencies. Compared to them fees reimbursement is a small issue. Kiran’s supporters say Botsa who want to sit on CM post any cost is issuing statements to sully the image of CM Kiran Kumar Reddy. It has to be seen how Botsa answers these allegations.

When Jagan floated YSR Party, his rivals including himself is fully aware that he is the fulcrum point for the success of the party and with out him the party can not stand on its own. Realising this his opponents targetted him day in and day out with one or the other allegations. Even Jagan delayed his arrest by CBI till the last moment. When many thought YSR Party would be rudderless and will be sailing in a directionless manner Vijayamma, widow of YSR enterted the arena and galvanised the crowd. Now many questions arise in the minds of political analysts and the most important thing is can Vijayamma become all powerful like former UP CM Mayawathi, Bengal CM Mamatha Bannerjee or Tamil Nadu CM Jayalalitha.

While some feel that with no one unable to predict when Jagan will be out of Jail, Vijayamma has fair chance to become that powerful if she in consultation with Jagan play her cards to perfection. She is already taking on other parties and Govt with her deekshas on various issues. Some others wonder whether this itself is enough. If one analyses Mayawathi’s BSP, Mamatha’s TMC and Jayalalitha’s AIADMK, all those parities have conveniently chalked out their parties policies and gave direction in such a way that they would support any party whether it is NDA led by BJP or UPA led by Congress as long as it serves the people of their respective states. Even their supporters including minorities don’t find fault with their change of stances frequently. However Jagan revealing his YSR CP strategy that he would align only with Congress and not with BJP at center , weakened his party’s strength and made him face barrel of allegations from opponents about his collusion with Congress. Had he chalked his strategies and given directions and prepared people before hand in the lines of Maya, Mamata or Jaya, then Viaya could have become another powerful leader.

Indian contingent’s super failure saga continued at greatest sporting arena in the world, The Olympics, which are underway in London. While sports lovers from India were witness to many spellbounding awesome performances from sports persons representing various countries, they are totally disappointed at the performances by Indian sports persons. Barring a few like Saina Nehwal, Gagan Narang, Vijeyendra Singh, Vijay Kumar andry Kom who bucked the trend and system failures others failed miserably shocking sports lovers. Medal hopes like Wolrd no 1 in archery Deepika Kumari, world champions Ronjon Sodhi and others, even medal hopes Sania Mirza, Jwala Gutta and Diju all did not live up to their expectations. True, world champions and gold medalists from last olympics from other countries also failed but not with out a strong fight. But if one takes Deepika Kumari world no 1 in archery, she failed to shoot even 9 in first round while olympic stage fired her unknown opponent to continuously score 10 points. Similar is the case of Boxer Vijayendra Singh who lost his bout in QF when he defeated the same opponent earlier couple of months back blanking him cmpletely. Jwala fpr example prior to the start of the olympics was seen busy attending shop openings, fashion shows and film audio releases rather than practicing unlike Saina Nehwal. Hockey team’s miserable performance is the highlight in India’s failures.

Now all start blaming Cricket for their failures, lack of encouragement from authorities, lack of facilities and what not. They even come up with trivial excuses. But one should know no person likes to see and encourage a sport where sports persons loses continuously disappointing sports lovers. Previously people used to see Hockey as they won 8 gold medals at Olympics, many world cups etc. The moment hockey team lost its sheen and started losing continuously they stopped watching it. They switched over to cricket as cricketers victories coincided with hockey team’s failures. Coming to other excuses, one should not blame the system as nothing can stop talent from winning if the person has fire and burning desire to succeed. Many african countries and small nations won gold at olympics due to their desire to succeed even though they struggled in utter poverty. Now one should understand what hard work Gold medalist Abhinav Bindra might have put.

Millions and billions of devotees along with pilgrims who visit Tirumala and pray Lord Venkateswara view TTD as the most pious organisation taking care of the temple protecting its sanctity. However many times the members who are in TTD along with its Chiarman and Executive Officer have played with the peoples beliefs and sentiments hurting them to the core. Many devotees are disappointed with the way the board is functioning. Many feel the oranisation is ridden with various power centers though the organizers and the members deny it.

While the EO is from IAS cadre appointed by the State Govt, Chairman happen to be a politician or who has clout with the politicians and the ruling party at the Govt. Going by their background many feel that they are driven by their own personal and monetary gains rather than maintain the sanctity of the holy place and the shrine. Many a time sentiments of the devotees are hurt during the making of prasads or at the offering of hair or during the darshan where devotees are pushed mercilessly like animals.

As if to pour petrol on sentiments, TTD turns blind eye on religious conversions and preachings from other religions from its own employees without taking any action. At the most they will be transferred to Tirupathi from there the people can go ahead with their conversions. When devotees question how could donations and offerings made by them to the Lord Venkateswara could be diverted for other Govt projects, they search in vein for answers.

Lone MLA, Jayaprakash Narayna who showed his ‘satta’ with his NGO ‘Lok Satta’ before turning a politician today decided to give a jolt to ruling Cong Govt at State. When many started writing him off as being Cong agent and even predicted that he would be losing his Kukatpally Constituency, JP

decided to step in the steam giving no breather to Govt.While other political parties and politicians criticized Govt on fees reimbursement issue making the issue as caste related issue, seeking to divide opinion based on castes, Jayaprakash using all his intelligence and information on the subject went hammer and tongs on the Govt authorities, saying conditions and cuts in fees reimbursement is a boon to engineering colleges which are on the verge of closure due to lack of funds.

JP went on to allege that Govt decision is a ploy to help out the management of engineering colleges so that they don’t close. He said the order is boon to the management of engineering colleges just like arogya sri for the management of hospitals across the state. He forbade Govt not to proceed with the order, dashing the hopes of thousands of students just for the sake of helping management of private colleges. He went on to claim that fees reimbursement scheme is his dream project and included the same in his party’s manifesto in 2009 in the name of ’50 guarantees’ for people. He however lavished praises on YSR saying he is a great visionary and no other leader has that kind of knowledge on various subjects. This once again raised suspicion of JP’s collusion with YSR.

Nityananda who till recently earned reputation of a renowned religious preacher across the world with tremendous following and innumerous devotees, became notorious when his dark secrets were revealed. When his videos with intimate scenes featuring kollywood heroine Ranjitha was aired he tried to bluff that the person present in the video was not he and some one else acting. He along with Ranjitha crooned the same song and when it was found that the video was not tampered and with some from his ashram vouching that Nityananda has many dark secrets, he at once became popular as Sexananda.

Film makers smitten by the incidents announced some films on his story and one such film is ‘Swami Satyananda’. Nityananda filed a petition in high court to stall the release of the kannda dubbed film would hurt the sentiments of his devotees. He sought court direction to Censor Board to stop the release of the film. The film features comedian Ali who became famous for his dialogue ‘Whop is the katravalli’. Many wonder how could Nityananda who many times defied the directions of Courts and its orders can file petition against the release of the film. Nityananda, who became the head of Madurai Mutt,was caught along with his girl friend and heroine Ranjitha, while trying to escape to Nepal to evade court inquiry on various sex allegations.

When Damodar Rajanarasimha was made the Deputy CM of Andhra Pradesh many felt that he was meek, humble and many not take strong decisions or voice his opinion on various issues. Some even said he is just a rubber stamp to CM Kiran Kumar Reddy who himself is a rubber stamp CM at the hands of Congress President Sonia Gandhi. However after the party’s loss in by elections, he became more vocal and started voicing his opinion on various issues that are of concern to the people of the state. He went on to criticise even CM Kiran Kumar Reddy on various counts giving raise to suspicion that he might be eying the CM post.

There was speculation that right after Congress Party’s disastrous performance in the by polls, there would be change of guard with high command calling CM Kiran and APCC chief Botsa Satyanarayana. During that time many leaders went to Delhi to put forward their assessments about the situation in state and at the same time canvass their candidature. Many ministers went hammer and tongs on CM Kiran for his high handed ways. Damodar Rajanarasimha kept quiet during that time and suddenly started making resounding sounds on various issues putting CM Kiran in a spot of bother.

Many feel that he is marketing himself on various fronts in a meticulous manner and is not making empty noises. If this is true then it will surely be death knell for CM Kiran.

Telangana movement reached its zenith thanks to KCR’s vitriolic statements raising the tempers and his party TRS cadres mobolising forces along with T-JAC headed by Prof Kodandaram who guided the students of Universities in Telangana. Their organising abilities can be gauged by the success of ‘Sakalajauna Samme’ and Million March. During Sakala Janula Samme, Govt employees from the telangana region, stalled functioning of Govt making the authorities kneel before them, inviting them for talks. The one month long agitation showed the power of the movement. Similar is the case of million march during which many forced their way to Hyderabad and the march culminated in destruction of statues of greats on Tankbund.

However now cracks seems to have developed in Telangana movement with growing mistrust between TRS Chief KCR and T-JAC convener Kodandaram. Recently Harish Rao tried to arrange a meeting between the two but KCR refused to meet Kodandaram saying he is not that great as Kodandaram to meet him. Their relationship reached breaking point when T-JAC decided to support BJP in Palamuru by polls where TRS suffered shocking defeat. T-JAC tried to make amends with KCR supporting the party in Parakal elections but the mistrust is so much that KCR refused to buy any explanations.

Some say KCR is not of that kind keeping petty things in mind and point out that he met Kodandaram on four occasions after Parakal elections. Analysts feel that he is expecting an announcement of Telangana and is busy chalking out his future plans. However indications are not all is well between KCR and Kodandaram the moment Kodandaram started playing important role putting aside KCR. It has to be seen how their mistrust effect Telangana movement.
