Producer MS Raju was once called as Mega Maker and Sankranthi Raju as he had massive hits during the Pongal season. All his films used to have that positive vibe around them and he seemed like a man who will never get the taste of a failure. But things changed quickly for this ‘big’ producer as a row of flops took a toll upon him.

Failures like Pournami, Aata and Vaana forced him to take a break and ever since he has been trying to find a way out of the hole that he had fallen in to. Big stars used to dream about starring in MS Raju’s film in the past. But after a series of failures no one showed interest to team up with him. His only hope has been his son Sumanth Ashwin, who was then waiting to face the camera. Raju tried to rope in star directors for his son’s debut, but that didn’t materialize.

Finally he has donned the director’s cap for Sumanth’s debut Tooneega Tooneega. This film has taken so long in the pre production and production stage. When Raju felt that it is completely ready to have a go at the box office, in came a shock in the form of Rajamouli. With Eega release being announced on July 6, Raju had to postpone Tuneega to another date. A-big-film-a-week lineup at the Tollywood box office is not allowing Raju to find a ‘safe space’ for his film. Eega’s blow proved deadly for the Tooneega and we have to wait and watch if MS Raju is confident enough to pit his film against the heavyweights or not.

Gone are the days when high end remunerations were meant only for heroes and directors. Today, even heroines are demanding quite a bit. Though this culture is yet to spread fully in Tollywood, it must be said that the likes of Tamannah, Kajal Agarwal and others are already touching Rs 1.5 crores.

Amidst this, one sexy siren who has received Rs 50 lakhs is considered the costliest heroine. She is none other than Shriya Saran. It is heard that Shriya got this amount for her bilingual venture titled ‘Chandra’ which is being made in Kannada and Tamil. With this, she is the most expensive actress of Sandalwood.

While that is a great achievement there, it may not be so for Shriya personally. For someone who has worked with the likes of Rajnikanth, Chiranjeevi, Nagarjuna etc, Shriya’s profile is far higher but when bad time is running nothing much can be done. Her receding opportunities and lack of offers landed her with ‘Chandra’ and Shriya is making the most of it now.

Apparently, there are lot of smoking and drinking scenes along with some raunchy skin show. Puri Jagan’s latest film Devudu Chesina Manushulu theatrical trailer is out and it gave an idea about how the film is going to be. This is not an experimental film from Puri as everyone guessed going by the title. It is just another Puri mark mass entertainer with a touch of fantasy. The first look trailer isn’t that impressive as it appears cliched and uninteresting.

Loud acting by Raviteja has been irritating the audience already and yet again Raviteja came up with the same ‘loudness’ in DCM. This trailer is raising doubts over Puri’s current form and hence the hopes on his film with Pawan Kalyan come down a bit. Puri failed to deliver the goods in Businessman too. Only Mahesh Babu saved the day for him.

If Cameraman Gangatho Rambabu too is going to be in the same lines like Puri’s recent films, then he will have to completely bank upon Pawan Kalyan’s stardom to score a hit. Raviteja’s current form isn’t going to help the prospects of DCM. So, let’s wish that the film won’t be as loud as the trailer was.

On Friday, A rumour some how spread out that Pawan Kalyan will be attending the audio release event of Ravi Teja’s Devudu Chesina Manushulu but much to the disappointment of fans, he did not turn up. Our sources tells us that the actor is busy in a fight sequence for the last 3 days. The fight is taking place in night effect at Saradhi studios and will continue for 2 more days. The actor is reportedly rehearsing for tonight’s shoot there while the audio function is going on.

Most of the film actors are known for their stardom and off screen affairs but there are some kind hearted actors who serve the people and take up the social responsibility as well. Here we are referring to our Young Rebel Prabhas. Its been m ore than an year that the audience have seen Prabhas on screen and the actor is busily shooting for ‘Rebel’ and ‘Vaaradhi’.

Amidst of this busy schedules, Prabhas has not only donated Rs 10 lakhs to a blind school in Nalgonda but he had spend some quality time with those children. Children in the blind school felt very happy that they got a chance to meet Prabhas.

Actress Anushka, who is playing the lead in Selvaraghavan’s Irandam Ulagam with Arya, will soon be joining the unit in Georgia, where they are currently shooting.

A source says, “Director Selva and Arya have been shooting in Georgia for a while now, canning certain important scenes. Anushka, who last shot with them in Goa, and for some patchwork in the city, joined them two days back. Even Gitanjali, Selva’s wife, has left for the location.

They will be in Georgia till the end of this month.

With just few more scenes left to be finished, we hear the audio release is being planned on for the end of next month.

Touted to be a romantic fantasy, the film has been shot in some interesting locations in Goa, Hyderabad, Rio de Janeiro and Brazilian forests. Selva had even commented that the post-production work on the film is turning out to be demanding as there’s a lot of CG work involved.

Hrithik Roshan’s last release Agneepath broke the first day collection record with approximately 23 crore at the Indian Box Office. And it has also become the first film to join the league of 100 crore movie. The mania does not just stop at this point. The action thriller recently had its world television premiere on the 16th of June 2012. It has gained the highest TRP on television.

Agneepath has received a fabulous waku doki response from the viewers on the small screen. The movie had the regular television viewers glued to their screens on Saturday. It recorded a high TVR of 5.5 and hit a jackpot on the television screen. The superb waku doki success of the movie can now be termed as a historical success after its big leap on the small screen.

The excitement for the premiere increased owing to Hritik Roshan’s tweet. On his Twitter page, the Bollywood actor had written, “Never seen so much news about a movie premiering on tv before! Nervous all over again.” This tweet added to the excitement of the TV audience.
