Handsome hunk Rana is all set to play a mythological character. He is going to be seen as Narasimha Swamy for some key scenes in his upcoming film Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum. Shooting for these key scenes is currently going on in Hyderabad.
Rana is completely dedicated to this movie and decided not to start any other movie in Telugu and Hindi till the completion of this movie. The movie shooting is half done. Rana is playing an interesting role in the movie as ‘B.Tech Babu’. Nayanatara plays the female lead in this movie and Mani Sharma gives music for this film.

Abdul Kalam’s Controversal Comments in His Book !

In his latest book, former president APJ Abdul Kalam has sought to dismiss speculation that he was the prime reason why Sonia Gandhi refused the PM’s post in 2004.
In the chapter titled ‘Controversial Decisions’ of his book ‘Turning Points, A Journey Through Challenges’, Kalam has written that if Sonia had made “any claim for herself, I would have had no option but to appoint her”.
It was widely believed that Kalam had reservations against Sonia Gandhi becoming the Prime Minister and this was the prime reason why Sonia did not.
The book is published by Harper Collins and is slated to be released next week.
The BJP, however, reacted to the issue saying the information was nothing new. “Kalam’s admission just proves that Sonia Gandhi enjoys power without accountability,” said Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi.
“This is not new… Kalam has said this many times in the past also… Sonia Gandhi takes all the key decision in the party… She has power without accountability… She has not done any sacrifice,” he added.
Meanwhile, Congress tried to deflect the tirade onto BJP, saying Kalam’s statement directly pointed at the party that “did not want Sonia Gandhi to be the Prime Minister”.
Satyavrat Chaturvedi said, “What Kalam has said directly points to the BJP who did not want Sonia Gandhi to be the Prime Minister. They had gone to the President. This (Kalam’s statement) speaks of the people who did not want to give Sonia Gandhi the right the Constitution has given her.”
‘I humbly decline the post’
While declining the post of Prime Minister in 2004 amidst huge tears and cries by the Congress leaders to not do so, Sonia had said, “The post of prime minister has not been my aim. I was always certain that, if ever I found myself in the position I am in today, I would follow my inner voice. I humbly decline the post.”

TDP all set to bring Lokesh into Active Politics !

The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) has taken up a massive exercise for a complete makeover of the party including completion of organisational elections and reactivating the youth and other allied wings.
Though pressure to bring Lokesh into active politics is increasing, Naidu is still unable to decide whether or not to bring his son Lokesh Naidu into active politics. For the present, he wants to give top priority to give a new image to the party by going in for complete makeover by holding organisational elections and revamp the allied wings like the mahila wing, youth wing etc.
In view of this, the party has not yet taken any decision on the date to hold the Mahanadu which had to be postponed due to the by-elections.Meanwhile, with the demand for infusing young blood and to bring in Lokesh and Balakrishna and if possible Junior NTR into active politics, Naidu is learnt to have decided to hold a meeting with his family members on Sunday.
This meeting is likely to discuss the issue of whether or not Lokesh should be asked to enter active politics. The party youth wing, in fact, wants Lokesh to take over it and go round the State to understand the problems of the people. The question before Naidu is how to accommodate Junior NTR in the party, in case Lokesh enters politics.

Fire accident in Jubilee Hall after Pranab campaign !

There was a fire accident in the Jubilee Hall here. If it took place 15 minutes earlier, there would have been a stampede leading to unwanted incident, felt the scribes, who gathered at the Jubilee Hall to cover the UPA’s Presidential candidate Pranab Mukherjee’s address to the media.
The media meet was held in the front Hall of the Jubilee Hall where Pranab has addressed them and left. Just two minutes after his departure from the Hall, fire engulfed the main Hall with huge smoke clouds. Fortunately, the fire occurred after the Chief Guest and the Chief Minister and MLAs and others left the Hall. “If not a stampede would have occurred due to the fire incident”, said some MLAs and scribes present at the venue.
Fire was caused due to a short circuit in the Air Condition Unit and it has created tension. Due to a spark in the Air-Condition unit, the fire occurred on the roof of the Jubilee Hall.
It is learnt that the officials of the Jubilee Hall has switched on the entire Air Condition unit of the whole Jubilee Hall including the Legislative Council Hall since morning with over enthusiasm. This resulted in overheat and sparks occurred in the unit leading to fire. Fortunately, a fire engine was stationed there due to the Chief Minister’s presence at the Jubilee Hall. The fire engine staff have immediately reacted to the incident and brought the fire under control within minutes. Jubilee Hills MLA Vishnu Vardhan Reddy and CLP staff also tried their best to stop the fire. Vishnu Vardhan Reddy opened the Carbon dioxide gun, which was there at the Hall. Later, four more fire engines have come to the Jubilee Hall to control the fire.

Telangana activists obstructs Pranab !

Telangana protagonists have tried to obstruct the UPA’s Presidential candidate Pranab Mukherjee’s convoy at the Prakashnagar flyover near Begumpet Airport where he arrived in Hyderabad in a special flight from Chennai on Sunday morning. They raised slogans in favor of Telangana. They demanded Pranab to make the centre to announce a decision on Telangana immediately.
The police failed to remove the Telangana protagonists, as adequate force was not present in the route Pranab was traveling in the City. Due to this, the alert Task Force Police, who were part of the Chief Minister’s convoy, have dispersed the Telangana protagonists from the way. Later the police have come to the spot and arrested them.
The Chief Minister, PCC Chief Botcha Sathyanayarana, several Ministers and Congress leaders have, earlier, welcomed Pranab Mukherjee in a grand way at the Begumpet Air Port.

JP demands on Total Revamp of Excise Policy !

The Lok Satta party President Dr Jayaprakash Narayan has stressed the need for total revamp of the Excise Act.Speaking to the media here on Sunday, he said that the Act be amended to make the Gram Panchayats also responsible for it’s implementation, along with the Excise and police departments.
On the present Presidential election, he said that the UPA candidate Pranab Mukherjee is a leader with vast experience and he has all the qualities required for a President of the Country. He, however, added that the NDA nominee PA Sangma is also capable for the post.
He deplored that the traditional parties in the country were promoting corruption and corrupt people were also getting elected as Peoples’ representatives. The Lok Satta was making efforts to root out corruption in the country, as part of it, the Party will be launching a state-wide programme for three months, from July 3. The program would also help in strengthen the party, he added.

AICC general secretary in-charge of State Party Affairs Ghulam Nabi Azad, who accompanied UPA’s presidential candidate Pranab Mukherjee’s election campaign, has left for the Delhi immediately after the CLP meeting held at Jubilee Hall here on Sunday.
Azad, who arrived here in a special flight, had left for Shamshabad Airport, from Jublee hall itself. There he spent one hour with PCC Chief Botcha Sathyanarayana and PCC official spokesperson Shabbir Ali and held deliberations with them.
Meanwhile, Azad refused to respond on the Telangana issue when media, which camped for his bite, asked him on the issue.

The latest rumor doing rounds in Tollywood is Chiranjeevi’s chart buster song ‘Guvva Gorinkatho’ is being remixed in Charan’s upcoming movie to be directed by VV Vinayak. Remixing of old songs had become a trend in Telugu cinema of late. Recently, Ram Charan’s Rachcha had a remix of Vana Vana Velluvaye from Chiranjeevi’s Gang Leader and now, the music director of the movie, Thaman had hinted at a possible remix in Ram Charan’s upcoming movie under the direction of VV Vinayak.

Kajal Agarwal rubbishes singing rumours

There were few reports in media that Kajal Agarwal will be singing a song in her upcoming movie ‘Badshah’ starring Young Tiger NTR. It was told that she will be humming a song along with International pop singer Akon. The news had gone viral on internet as a Mumbai based heroine is singing a Telugu song.
However, this news does not seem to be true. Kajal Agarwal herself condemned this news in an exclusive interview to a Newspaper. The regular shooting of the movie will began from 9th of this month in Italy. Srinu Vaitla is the director. Bandla Ganesh is producing the movie under Parameswara Arts banner.

Nagarjuna goes to Chanchalguda jail

Akkineni Nagarjuna came to Chanchalguda Central Prison on Saturday to meet his business partner Nimmagadda Prasad who is the the 12th accused in the charge sheet of Jagan’s illegal assets case.Speaking to the media after the mulaqat, the actor said that Nimmagadda Prasad is his good friend and they used to meet daily till before he was put behind the bars. Nagarjuna added that Nimmagadda’s arrest is unfortunate.
Nimmagadda had reportedly invested nearly Rs. 800 crores in Jagan companies as part of the quid pro quo deal. In return, he received around 15 thousand acres for his Vanpic project from the YSR government. Cases were booked against Prasad under sections 120B, IPC 420, 409 and 477A of PC act.

Sagara Sangamam which released in 1973 is one of the classics of Telugu film industry. Slowly, he gets closer to Madhavi and the day he wishes to propose to her, he realises that she is already married and her husband left her. Now the husband wants to re-unite with her which forces him to sacrifice his love. Years pass by and he turns into a drunkard. Meanwhile Madhavi loses her husband. She comes to know of Balakrishna who the doctors say is going to die soon. So she takes care of his medical needs and requests Balakrishna to teach dance to her daughter. The movie ends with Madhavi’s daughter becoming a great dancer and the death of Balakrishna giving a message “There is no end to art”.

Going in to detail, 20 July was the birthday of Upasana. And Ram Charan has presented her with one of the finest gifts – a rare miniature breed horse. He had to import it from Ireland with the help of his sailor friend. He had planned it 5 months in advance to make it happen. Ram Charan has also requested his mother to use the lawn in the backyard to construct an air-conditioned stall for the pony. This rare miniature breed horse can grow up to 31 inches and has a life span of around 15 years.

The shooting delay of Rebel had made the schedule of Prabhas’ Varadhi haywire. He began the movie midway of Rebel and stopped it midway to accommodate dates for Rebel completion. And now Rebel is nearing completion. The last song shoot of the movie will be wrapped by August 9th. And then Prabhas will shift to the shooting of Varadhi.
Varadhi shooting is 50% complete till now. The unit will film scenes on Prabhas and Anushka and Richa Gangopadhyay in this schedule in Hyderabad and are likely to shoot a song in Pollachi.
