After the much hyped Vamsi issue in TDP, several rumors are aired in the film circuits regarding Jr.NTR’s upcoming political moves. They say that Junior is going to float his own political party to show his stamina. Will he succeed?

The very idea of a movie star starting a political party these days will not work in reality. Chiru’s recently shutter closed ‘Prajarajyam’ is a perfect example for this. In fact, powers around Junior may not allow him to float one such party even though he has some rifts with TDP in the form of Chandrababu and Balayya. Like his father Hari Krishna, if he too shifts sands for his own party, there are no good reasons for people to support him, say observers.

‘They haven’t patronized even Hari Krishna or Lakshmi Parvathi, though both hail from legendary NTR’s coterie. Why will and why should they join hands with Junior’, a TDP loyalist questions. For now there is no news of Junior and political entry, while rumors always remain rumors.

From the moment ‘Magadheera’ became the magnum opus of Telugu Cinema Industry, many heroes and directors are trying their level best to beat it. More than anyone, Jr.NTR is trying relentlessly to score as a warrior. However, he failed with ‘Shakti’ and now with ‘Dammu’ too. In his latest movie, Junior tried to recreate the magic of ‘Magadheera’ in the song ‘Ruler’ for five minutes. The visuals proved that Keeravani’s music is not just enough to bring an epic color to the scene but a typical storyline and conceiving are required to project the hero as a real warrior.

‘Authentic feel is missing in Jr.NTR’s action as he has done that song just with the supervision of a fight master. But, Charan took training for months to look and act like real warrior who is born to play with swords and ride horses’, says a film critic. Young Tiger NTR is showing his star power at the Box Office once again with the earth shattering collections of his recent action entertainer ‘Dammu’.

The film collected a record share of Rs 7.9 crore (in AP alone) on first day surpassing Racha’s record (7.86) by a thin margin. The first weekend collections of Dammu has been phenominal. It raked in a staggering Rs. 14.13 crores share in AP for the first three days (Nizam – 3.75, Ceeded – 3.58, Guntur – 1.95, Vizag – 1.20, East – 1.06, West – 0.97, Krishna – 0.98, Nellore – 0.64). In Karnataka, a share of 0.77 lakhs was collected on Day 1 shattering all the previous records of dubbed flicks. When it comes to Overseas and Tamilnadu, the business done by the film is exceptionally well.

Despite the mixed talk since Day 1, Dammu has managed to bag terrific openings on par with the collections of any other Top Star’s film in the Industry. Interestingly, the collections on Monday were rock steady, which is a very positive sign for any film. If the film can sustain the good collections for the next one week or so, it will land in the safe zone and then profits follow. For now, the next benchmark for Dammu is to break the First Week share record (Racha – 25.75 Crore in AP). Let’s hope, NTR achieves it!
