Latest buzz is that Tamil actor Suriya is going to play a mythological role for the first time in his career. Her is going to act as Lord Rama in director K Raghavendra Rao’s big-budgeted mythological role – Ravana Brahma a starring Mohan Babu in the lead role.

Though the film might go the sets only towards the end of this year, Mohan Babu is trying to rope in big names for this movie which would be shot on lavish scale. The makers have roped in hollywood technicians to work for the movie. The pre production work of the movie is currently going on. Few artistes had also finished the make up test and sample photoshoots.

Much hyped pics of this slender aunty from Bollywood have at last released and here goes the first talk of them. We are talking about Malaika Arora, the original ‘Dabangg’ item girl who is shaking her leg with Powerstar in ‘Gabbar Singh’.

Apparently, posters released by the makers of Gabbar Singh are featuring some of the pics of Malaika in those hot village-lad costumes. However, they failed to raise any heat among the oomph lovers. While heroine Shruti Hassan is looking yummy in some of the posters, ‘Kevvu-Keka’ aunty failed miserably, says a critic. The reason behind this is said to be none other than Powerstar Pawan Kalyan.

Obviously, Pawan is looking mass and attractive in his countryside police costumes and is giving no chance for others to shine. They say that no heroine’s oomph factor or no other actor’s charisma can match the glow and glory of Powerstar. Even if Malaika aunty fails to click, there is no problem in drawing crowds to theatres, perhaps. It is Pawan’s show always!

Half-baked films ‘Racha’ and ‘Dammu’ turned into money spinners! Should we feel happy for the crowd pulling factor of our stars (or) blame the audience for their poor taste? Where the Tollywood is heading towards? Is this a good sign for the Industry or a curse?

The difference between a failure and a success is doing a thing nearly right and doing a thing exactly right. But looking at the success of Racha & Dammu, this famous quote looks entirely impractical. “It’s once again proven with ‘Racha’ and ‘Dammu’ that a Tollywood film with all the commercial elements will end up making profits in most of the cases, despite having multiple noticeable flaws in it. Encouraging such films is noting but giving license to the filmmakers to make films with poor script. In a way that reflects the degrading standards,” opines a film analyst.

Well, there is also a positive side to it. As the good thing about a successful film is that it’s the bread and butter of many, starting from print dispatchers to canteen and parking maintainers in theaters. Kudos to Tollywood and the film lovers for making this happen!

NTR’s Dammu success meet was held yesterday at Hotel Park Hyatt, Hyderabad. Dasari Narayana Rao, Bhogavalli Prasad, Dil Raju and others graced the function. NTR himself attended the meet but looked very dull through out the event. Sources close to NTR tells us that the actor is reportedly very unhappy with the performance of the movie and reports about SMS campaign from a rival group among the same Nandamuri fans has led to the ‘negative’ talk of the movie. There were also reports about rift within Nandamuri and Nara family which led to Vallabhaneni Vamsi hugging YSR Congress Party President Jagan in Vijayawada. NTR came under scanner with that incident as Vamsi is the close aide to NTR.

NTR had reportedly also avoided speaking to press after the event fearing questions about these incidents.
