Raviteja comes face to face with NTR

Few days ago there was talk that Raviteja’s Daruvu movie release has been postponed indefinitely due to heavy competition. But the makers of Daruvu released a press statement that their film is going to release on time without fail. As per the producer Daruvu will be released on May 4th. That means it will be released exactly a week after NTR’s Dammu is released.
Dammu is going for an all out release with more than thousand theaters on its first day. Although it is releasing so big, it is impossible to collect all its costs in one week. So Dammu will need another week without much competition to enter the safe zone. But Raviteja is not going to take the back step as of now.
With so many biggies lined up for release in May and June, Daruvu makers feel that May 4th is the ideal date to release their film. This clash can affect Dammu as well as Daruvu. Let’s see if D and D come to an agreement and maintain good gap to the benefit of each other.

Allu Sirish takes away Chaitanya’s ‘Gouravam’

Well, it’s official! One more hero is arriving from mega camp. Allu Aravind’s younger son Sirish has decided to take up acting career. He made this official on his personal blog and admitted that he is undergoing training as an actor. Sirish decided to make debut in Tamil at the start. But the latest news says that he will be making debut with a bilingual.
If the sources are to be believed, Sirish will be making debut with Gouravam movie directed by Radha Mohan. This film was actually planned with Naga Chaitanya in Annapurna banner. But as per the grapevine, Radha Mohan was upset with few things and moved away from the project. Incidentally Allu Aravind heard the same subject and is reportedly impressed.
If everything goes well, Sirish will be making debut in Telugu and Tamil with Gouravam film. Earlier Sirish planned to remake Chaitanya’s 100% Love in Tamil, but he has replaced Chaitanya in Gouravam. Official announcement regarding this is awaited though.

Racha blockbuster @ Ram Charan’s dedication

After doing record business over the first weekend, Racha continued to impress on Monday too. The collections on the fifth day are as good as third day, which indicates that Racha is going super strong at the box office. At this rate Racha will break first week record (AP and India) of Businessman by a very good margin.
Luckily, for Racha there is no major release in this week. Adhinayakudu was postponed to 19th of April and therefore Racha will still remain the first choice film for audience even in its second week. Added to that tenth class exams are over now and students and their families will throng to the theaters to catch the latest blockbuster.
Racha is being benefitted by superb timing of release, which would have not been possible if Ram Charan didn’t take the risk. Charan was injured during the last phase of Racha shooting and the film’s release looked almost impossible at one point. But Charan has completed Singareni Undi song by taking painkillers. His dedication ensured the film’s release on time and Racha attained blockbuster status with the help of the long weekend and summer holidays.

Balakrishna’s Adhinayakudu was screened to the State Censor Board Officials.on Monday at Prasad Labs. The board had suggested 18 cuts in the movie. Out of which the director had convinced to make 9 cuts. The movie reportedly had too much of violence and skin show which prompted the board to issue A certificate. The movie is carrying positive reports from sources. The makers are now telling a possible ‘April 19th’ release.
Balayya is playing three variety characters in the movie. Jaya Sudha, Saloni, Lakshmi Rai are playing the female leads. The movie is directed by Paruchuri Murali and produced by ML Kumar Chowdary under Sri Keerthi Combines banner. Kalyan Malik is the music director.

‘Chiru-ness Vs Charan’ In Long Run!

While magnum opus ‘Magadheera’ unveiled the striking performance him, ‘Racha’ proved that he is a stupendous extension to his father, megastar Chiranjeevi. But, can this ‘Chiru-ness’ help him win accolades in the coming future is the question.
Chiranjeevi’s mannerisms are the ones that bowled out fans after his spectacular dances and fights. Likewise, Charan also started to adopt those mannerisms in ‘Racha’. However, he hasn’t tried anything new, but simply carbon copied his dad’s work from movies like ‘Gangleader’ and ‘Gharanamogudu’. In delivering punch dialogues, walking crazily and while talking with villains, it’s Chiru we feel rather Charan. Critics are saying that in the long run ‘Chiru-ness’ may not help him grow in terms of a star-hero as people are bored with such ‘mass’ gestures already.
But, fans are denying this, saying ‘We’ll be happy if Charan continues as an extension to Megastar. He has already proved his mettle as an actor. So, let him now do his dad’s stuff to enthrall us’. As long as story supports the film, any characterization suits these star-kids well for the kind of fan-base they have.

“I am the luckiest man in the world,” said veteran actor Akkineni Nageswara Rao, who was jointly felicitated by TSR Kala Parishat and Telugu filmdom at a star-studded function held at Shiplakavedikda on Monday, for completing 75 years as an actor on film and stage.
Attributing his success to luck, he said he believed in hard work to overcome the struggles he faced at varied phases of an illustrious career. “Maybe luck favours the brave, and I should thank my mother who allowed me to be an actor from the age of nine, since I wasn’t good at studies and did stage plays before getting into films,” he said.
His biggest luck, he says, was having filmmaker Bhalaramaiyah spot him at a railway station. “That changed my destiny,” ANR said, expressing his thanks to those present for their support. Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy, who was the chief guest on the occasion, said, “It’s an impeccable achievement. I enjoyed watching his movies from childhood and I would like to see more of his films.”
Rajya Sabha member T. Subbarami Reddy, who jointly organised the event with the Telugu film fraternity, and who has known the actor for 40 years, felt that ANR deserved the Bharat Ratna “for his memorable acting career and for being a great human being, also having a sharp mind”.

‘Gabbar Singh’ is far above Salman Khan

Junior NTR is one of the best dancers in Tollywood. He used to be on the top until Allu Arjun started to exhibit his super human dancing skills. With his spectacular dances in the films Badrinath and Arya 2, Allu Arjun surpassed NTR and is rated as the best dancer by one and all. Since then NTR fans have been waiting for a strong reply from their star.
Even Dammu is not going to fulfill their dreams if the sources are to be believed. Why because NTR didn’t do any special dances in this film. NTR has done only normal dance moves that he usually does it seems. Therefore Bunny will still have the upper hand in this area as NTR slowed down considerably and Ram Charan is just banking on simple and graceful dances.
Allu Arjun tries to offer variety in dances with each film. He practices for months to thrill the audience with his dances. Other heroes are not putting in such hard work and efforts to challenge him. However, with all those efforts and superb dance skills, Allu Arjun is not in the race for number one position. Only Mahesh, NTR and Charan are in race as of now.

Racha 3 days Collections revealed !

‘Content Kam… Collections Jyaada’, that is Racha for you. This film was labeled as a pretty average and routine fare by the critics. But the movie clicked well with the target audience and has been doing tremendously well at the box office. After creating a new record in opening day collections, Racha went on to collect around 16 crore rupees share in just three days, in AP alone.

The collections were superb on Sunday too. Early estimates say that the film collected more than four crores on the fourth day in AP. Which means the first weekend (four days) collections in AP alone are over 20 crore rupees. Even if the film slows down from Monday, it is highly likely to cross 30 crore mark in full in run in AP. When the collections from other regions are added the final tally will be more than Rs. 35 crore.

If Racha doesn’t slow down from the fourth day and continues its good run in the week days and stays steady for a couple more weeks, then the overall collections will be more than 40 crore rupees. In all probabilities, Racha proved critics wrong by turning into a massive hit. Bottom line from this story is never rule out a mass film’s success. We can never estimate a mass movie’s potential at the box office.

He always make sure that his movie titles contain 3 letters (in Telugu) like Okkadu, Athadu, Dookudu and they also end with letter ‘du’. All the movies which followed this sentiment brought huge hits to Mahesh.
Following the same sentiment, the makers of his next movie are considering the title ‘Aagadu’. The movie will be directed by Sukumar and will go on to sets from April 23rd. We will have to see if this sentiment gets Mahesh one more blockbuster.
