NTR’s Dammu business shuts critics mouth

Young Tiger NTR’s out and out mass entertainer Dammu is sending positive vibes all over with its stunning pre-release business.
According to the unit sources, the film has already fetched a whooping amount of nearly Rs 40 crore for theatrical rights. Dil Raju, the manvwith midas touch, has laid his hands on this film and bought the rights for the Nizam territory for Rs 11 crores. Even the film was
sold for record price in other territories as well. (Ceded – Rs 7.22 crores, [Krishna + Guntur + Nellore] – Rs 7 crores, Uttarandhra – Rsv3.45 crores, West Godavari – 2.10 crores, East Godavari – 2 crores). Overseas rights, Karnataka and Rest Of India are yet to sold. Adding
the amount fetched from Audio rights and Satellite rights will take the tally of ‘Dammu’ business to nothing short of Rs 45 crores mark.
Notably, NTR’s last two films (Shakti, Oosaravelli) failed to make the cash registers ringing. But, that didn’t affect his business range. The distributors are willing to pay record amounts to bag the rights of NTR’s film, which show his market is still intact. This will shut

It is a common sight to see heroes having a special influence and charisma over the masses and they also enjoy a certain influence over other aspects and get their work done. However, here is one actor who seems to have his influence even in the international front. He is our very own Kamal Haasan.
Apparently, the Lokanayakudu is quite busy with his ambitious project ‘Viswaroopam’ and here is the update. Sources say the film is now being tracked by the jury members of the prestigious Cannes Film Festival. It is heard that they are keen on having the film as part of Cannes 2012 so they are waiting for it to get completed.
Kamal from his end is reportedly in touch with the chief of the jury and is giving constant updates. This is slated to be a spy thriller and it has the likes of Pooja Kumar, Andrea and Rahul Bose playing key roles. Music is by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy and the film would be released in three languages this year.

With people waiting for the return of this acting legend to silver screen again, his family is trying to satisfy them with at least his songs. We heard that both Powerstar and Young Megastar are coming with songs of Chiru!
Apparently, it is know that Charan is coming up with the remix version of ‘Vaana Vaana Velluvaaye’ in his upcoming ‘Racha’. The shoot of this famous song from Chiranjeevi’s all time hit ‘Gangleader’ finished a couple of weeks back. If Charan rocked with his foot shaking dance in water, Tamanna drenched her milky-hot-body with nice moves to make a feast. In the same way, Powerstar Pawankalyan is also coming up with a song of Chiru.
However, this will not be a remix version neither a peppy dance number. Whenever, Pawan beats villains in the movie ‘Gabbar Singh’, the background score is said to be Megastar’s ‘Mutamestri’ title song. The song goes ‘ee petaku neeny mestri…’ when Pawan raises his hand against the atrocities of a land lord in the flick. This is surely a treat for Mega-lovers!

Rajamouli has a special place in NTR and Ram Charan’s career as he was the director who brought the best out of these young guns. No wonder that these actors would love to work under his direction if they have a chance. However, Rajamouli is going to be a serious threat for these heroes in this summer.

Rajamouli’s Eega movie has been slated for release on April 12, which means it will release a week after Ram Charan’s Racha and a week before NTR’s Dammu releases. So these actors are going to face the heat from the master filmmaker. Even though Eega doesn’t have the necessary star power to rule the box office, it has Rajamouli, a brand that is not less than any existing superstar.
Audience would love to watch Rajamouli’s film irrespective of star cast and critics wouldn’t dare to point a finger at this works. He and his films are beyond critics as this director knows the pulse of audience better than any doctor. If Eega is going to make to the theaters in time, then NTR and Charan’s films have to be very strong to stand in the way of this perfectionist. Or else they will get to know what Rajamouli’s role was in their combined success.

Ram Charan praises his Yevadu Film director Vamsi Paidipally

Mega Power Star Ram Charan Teja is all praises for his Yevadu director Vamsi Paidipally. Yevadu has commenced its regular shooting and Ram Charan informed that the shooting is progressing at brisk pace.
Vamsi Paidipally has earlier directed Prabhas starrer Munna and Jr.NTR starrer Brindavanam. This is his third directorial.
Informing about the shoot, also praising Vamsi Paidipally, Ram Charan said, “Yevadu shooting is going great. Vamsi Paidipally is shooting at GRT speed, excellent clarity and quality. That’s what any actor desires from a director.”
Ram Charan is romancing hot actresses Samantha and Amy Jackson in the film. This Dil Raju production movie also casts Allu Arjun in a cameo. Music is by Devi Sri Prasad.

These days in Tollywood, everyone wants to work with Mahesh Babu, the Man with the Midas Touch.

The back-to-back blockbusters — The Businessman and Dookudu — have taken Mahesh Babu’s career to an unscaled peak.

According to trade insiders, the actor, popularly called the Prince, is the second highest paid actor in the South, next only to Rajinikanth. Offers are pouring in for Mahesh from all quarters in the industry.

Perhaps, nothing can match the offer leading producer Allu Aravind has put forward. Reports say Aravind recently sent a proposal to the Prince to sign a three-film deal for a whopping Rs 15 crore each. Besides the 45-crore package, Mahesh has also been given the freedom to pick his choice of script and director.

Though it is not clear if Mahesh has given nod to what the industry calls a staggering offer, the news has spread like wildfire, sending Tollywood into a tizzy.

People in the know say it is quite evident that Aravind wants to cash in on the popularity of Mahesh Babu. The news has come as a surprise for many as the Aravind camp itself has four big stars in its kitty: Ram Charan Tej, Pawan Kalyan, Allu Arjun and Chiranjeevi.

Mahesh is currently working on Seethama Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu. Directed by Srikanth Addala and produced by Dil Raju, the multi-starrer film will also feature Venkatesh. His project with director Sukumar is expected to go on floors this month. Reports say Mahesh will soon work with Mani Ratnam in Ponniyin Selvan along with Tamil actor Vijay.

With quite a few big projects in his kitty, it will be a breather for most fans to hear that Mahesh and ace director Rajamouli are working together. Though there has been considerable buzz about them joining hands, we haven’t heard anything concrete.

Rajamouli once tweeted saying he wanted the audience to decide what they wanted from the director and actor. Further, he said, “Do you want to see Mahesh in a cowboy film, a James Bond film or Alluri Seetaramaraju.” It will be quite interesting to see what this duo will finally come up with.

As per the news, in the introduction fight sequence of the movie, Pawan Kalyan is busy fighting with rowdies. At this moment, he listens to the song, ‘Ee petaku nene mestiree’ song from ‘Mutha Mestri’ as a ring tone of the mobile phone of one of the goons. Hearing the song, Pawan stops fighting and dances for some time, and continues fighting with the goons.
As per the inner sources, many more highlights are there in the movie like the above sequence. The movie is slated for 18th May release. Shruthi Haasan is doing opposite to Pawan in the movie. Devi Sri Prasad is composing music. Harish Shankar is directing this movie under Sri Parameswara Arts banner.

Junior NTR is again on a roar. His upcoming flick ‘Dhammu’ in the direction of Boyapati Srinu is geared to end up with a new record figure in its pre-release business. As per the reliable reports, movie has become super duper hit much before the release by doing a pre-release business of nearly Rs.40 Crores.
Area wise price for distribution rights and agencies winning the rights are as follows.

  • Nellore, Guntur – Bakery Prasad – 7.20 Crores
  • Uttarandhra – Bharath Pictures – 3.45 Crores

If the areas of Ceded, Overseas, Audio, Satellite and Rest of India rights are added, the cumulative number will cross Rs.40 Crores.

Mega Power Star Ram Charan’s ‘Rachcha’ movie’s audio release function at first was expected to be held in Hyderabad. However, the makers wanted to go for a fresh place,where they planned to celebrate the audio release function as a public event. And hence, Kurnool city was chosen as the venue of ‘Rachcha’ audio release function. However, as per the reliable sources, it is learnt that the makers again shifted the venue of the audio release function of the movie from Kurnool to Hyderabad and it is going to be an indoor function. Shilpa Kala Vedika might be the venue of ‘Rachcha’ audio release function. This function is going to be held on 9th March.
Having heard the matter of the cancellation of the function in Kurnool city, the people of the city were said to be very much disappointed. As per the makers, the reason for the cancellation of ‘Rachcha’ venue in Kurnool is because of the security problems and the police reportedly told the makers that they couldn’t give the enough protection for the event. On the contrary, other heroes fans are saying that ‘Rachcha’ audio in Kurnool city was cancelled due to political causes. Whatever be the reason, it is definitely a setback for ‘Rachcha’ team.

Confirming the reports, Kamal said,”I have no idea why Akshara turned down Maniratnam’s offer. I have never imposed any restictions and my daughter are always free to do whatever they want. It’s up to her to decide her future. I guess, Akshara might follow me – starting from behind the camera and then facing the camera later on”.
