Vijay Deverakonda–Rashmika Wedding Buzz Goes Viral

Share

Social media is abuzz with reports that Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna are all set to get married in the coming days. The speculation intensified after what is being claimed as their wedding reception invitation card surfaced online. Despite the widespread circulation of the news, the duo has chosen to remain silent, adding more curiosity among fans.

According to the buzz, the couple will tie the knot on February 26 in an intimate ceremony attended by close family and friends. The grand reception is reportedly scheduled for March 4 at Taj Krishna.

Vijay and Rashmika first shared screen space in the blockbuster Geetha Govindam, where their on-screen chemistry won hearts. They later reunited for Dear Comrade, further strengthening their bond. Over time, their camaraderie sparked dating rumours, though both consistently maintained that they were “just good friends.”

Interestingly, fans often pointed out how the two would post pictures from the same vacation spots without appearing together in a single frame. From similar backgrounds to coinciding travel updates, these subtle hints kept speculation alive for years.

In recent interviews, Rashmika neither confirmed nor denied the relationship but mentioned that she would reveal everything at the right time. This has led many to believe that the couple may be planning to make an official announcement only after their wedding.

While there has been no formal confirmation from either side yet, the excitement among fans continues to grow. If the reports turn out to be true, it will undoubtedly be one of the most talked-about celebrity weddings of the year.

Ayesha Khan Stuns in Saree, Slams AI Misuse

Ayesha Khan has always impressed fans with her ability to strike the perfect balance between modern glamour and traditional elegance. Whether it’s a stylish western outfit or a graceful ethnic look, she carries every ensemble with effortless charm — and her latest photos are yet another example.

In the new pictures, Ayesha is seen wearing a pink sleeveless blouse paired beautifully with a blue saree and matching bangles. Leaving her hair open, she opted for a breezy outdoor photoshoot that perfectly suits the summer vibe. Sipping coconut water, she looks relaxed and radiant under the sun.

Some candid shots show her enjoying a ride in an auto and strolling through the city, while others capture her sitting under a tree in a park, peacefully reading a book. With her bright smile, cute bindi, soft pink lipstick, and elegant silver jhumkas, she looks fresh, simple, and effortlessly charming.

Meanwhile, Ayesha recently raised her voice against the misuse of artificial intelligence after morphed images and AI-generated videos of her began circulating online. Calling the trend “very scary” and disturbing, she said it feels deeply unsettling to see fake yet realistic visuals of herself being shared without consent. She strongly criticised the spread of such manipulated content and highlighted the emotional distress caused when personal images are altered and misused.

Through both her style statements and her strong stand on important issues, Ayesha continues to remain confident, graceful, and fearless.

Sivakarthikeyan’s Seyon First Look Hints at Divine Drama

Share

On the occasion of his birthday, Sivakarthikeyan surprised fans by unveiling the striking first look of his upcoming film Seyon. The film is directed by Sivakumar Murugesan and jointly produced by Kamal Haasan and R. Mahendran under the banners of Raaj Kamal Films International and Turmeric Media.

The first look poster immediately grabbed attention for its strong spiritual symbolism. The title Seyon itself is another name for Kartikeya, popularly worshipped as Lord Murugan. One of the most striking visual elements in the poster is the presence of multiple peacocks surrounding Sivakarthikeyan. In Hindu mythology, the peacock is the divine vehicle (vahana) of Kartikeya, making this imagery deeply symbolic rather than merely decorative.

Sivakarthikeyan appears in a rugged avatar, sporting vibhuti on his forehead, dressed in traditional attire, and striking a warrior-like pose. His intense expression, combined with the mythological cues, hints at a narrative layered with devotional or spiritual undertones. The design suggests that the film may draw inspiration from mythology or blend divine symbolism into a commercial cinematic framework.

Although the makers have not officially revealed the storyline, the first look strongly signals that Seyon is not just a routine mass entertainer. With music composed by Santhosh Narayanan, the project has already sparked significant curiosity, especially regarding its spiritual depth and thematic ambition.

N. T. Rama Rao Jr. Goes Lean for Dragon, Still a Foodie at Heart

Share

NTR Jr may be following a disciplined fitness routine today, but the actor openly admits that he is a foodie at heart. Known among friends and colleagues for his love of cooking, he has previously shared that he makes an excellent biryani and enjoys experimenting in the kitchen whenever time permits.

In the past, he frequently indulged in rich Hyderabad and Andhra delicacies. However, in recent years, he has significantly reduced his food intake as part of a strict transformation plan. The results are evident. For his upcoming film Dragon, directed by Prashanth Neel, NTR has undergone one of the most striking physical makeovers of his career. His sharp, lean appearance has surprised fans and generated considerable buzz.

In a recent interview with Esquire magazine, where he appeared in his intense Dragon look, the actor spoke candidly about his favourite foods. He revealed that “Punugulu,” a beloved South Indian fritter, remains his go-to snack, admitting that he thoroughly enjoys the crispy treat.

Beyond that, NTR expressed his fondness for Telangana-style mutton curry, Andhra chicken pulav, and the tangy gongura pachadi. Despite adhering to a strict diet and fitness regime, his love for traditional Telugu flavours clearly remains unchanged, reflecting his deep connection to his roots.

Qualcomm Backs Hybrid AI Model at India AI Impact Summit 2026

Share

At the India AI Impact Summit 2026, industry leaders highlighted India’s ambition to transition from being primarily a consumer of artificial intelligence technologies to becoming a global developer of sovereign AI infrastructure. Echoing this vision, Qualcomm advocated a hybrid AI deployment model that combines on-device intelligence with cloud computing to ensure scalability, efficiency, and affordability.

Sahil Arora, Business Head – AI & Data Centres at Qualcomm, outlined the company’s perspective on how AI in India is moving beyond research and model training toward real-world, citizen-centric deployment. He emphasized that AI solutions must operate closer to users rather than relying entirely on distant cloud infrastructure.

According to Arora, Qualcomm’s expertise in edge computing—traditionally through smartphones—is now expanding into data centres. However, the company’s core philosophy remains centered on performance per watt. The focus, he noted, is on efficiently running large language models both on devices and in the cloud while minimizing power consumption and maximizing performance.

He pointed out that models in the 7B to 10B parameter range can already function effectively on devices, alongside capabilities such as Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) and Text-to-Speech (TTS). Running smaller AI models directly on devices and transmitting only processed text to the cloud can significantly reduce latency, connectivity demands, and overall compute requirements—an approach especially relevant at India’s massive scale.

Drawing parallels with India’s digital public infrastructure initiatives like Unified Payments Interface (UPI) and Aadhaar, Arora suggested that the country may now be on the brink of its next transformative shift driven by AI. However, he stressed that affordability will be crucial to ensuring widespread adoption.

For India’s diverse and large-scale use cases, Arora suggested that extremely large AI models may not be necessary. Instead, models in the 40 to 50 billion parameter range could offer an optimal balance between capability and efficiency for most practical applications.

He further emphasized that the future of AI in India lies in hybrid architecture—where GPUs and NPUs embedded in devices such as smartphones, automobiles, and smart home systems work in tandem with centralized cloud infrastructure. This blended approach, he said, represents the most viable pathway for India-scale AI deployment.

His remarks come at a time when the Indian government is expanding GPU infrastructure under the IndiaAI Mission, while private players continue to invest in building domestic data centre capacity. Together, these efforts signal India’s growing determination to establish itself as a key player in the global AI ecosystem.

H-1B visa Delays: Understanding Section 221(g) Holds

Share

A growing number of H-1B visa applicants are experiencing unexpected delays in their US visa process, with many cases being placed under Section 221(g). While the term often causes anxiety among applicants, it is important to note that this status does not mean a final rejection. Instead, it indicates a temporary hold while additional checks or documentation are reviewed.

Under Section 221(g) of the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA), a consular officer determines that the applicant has not yet fully demonstrated eligibility for the visa. In such cases, the application remains pending until further information is provided or administrative processing is completed.

When a visa is marked under 221(g), it means the officer was unable to approve the application at the time of the interview and document review. However, the case can still move forward once the requested documents are submitted or required background verifications are cleared.

Applicants are usually informed whether they need to provide additional documents or simply wait for administrative processing. If documents are requested, they must be submitted within one year from the date of refusal. Failure to respond within this timeframe requires the applicant to begin a new visa application and pay the applicable fees again.

Processing timelines under 221(g) can vary significantly. Delays may occur due to enhanced security screening, verification of employment details, social media background checks, staffing constraints at consulates, or broader visa backlogs.

Immigration experts advise applicants not to view a 221(g) status as a denial. It reflects an incomplete adjudication rather than a closed case. Once the concerns are addressed and required checks are completed, visa approval remains possible.

Presidents’ Day: US Markets Closed on February 16

Share

Trading across US financial markets will be suspended on Monday, February 16, 2026, as the country observes Presidents’ Day. Officially recognised as Washington’s Birthday, the federal holiday is one of the designated days when American exchanges halt regular operations.

Both the New York Stock Exchange and Nasdaq will remain closed for the day. As a result, major indices such as the S&P 500, Dow Jones Industrial Average, and Nasdaq Composite will not record any trading activity. The US bond market will also be shut, creating a shortened trading week for investors and institutions.

Market operations are set to resume on Tuesday, February 17, when traders are expected to refocus on economic indicators, corporate earnings announcements, and international market developments following the extended weekend. While US cash markets will pause, global exchanges and certain derivatives platforms may continue to reflect shifts in investor sentiment during the break. The temporary closure could lead to portfolio adjustments once trading resumes, particularly with key economic data and earnings reports scheduled later in the week.

Presidents’ Day is observed annually on the third Monday of February, with federal agencies, government offices, and banks typically remaining closed, though many private businesses continue operations. The holiday is one of several scheduled US market closures in 2026, alongside Good Friday, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day (observed), Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. These pre-determined holidays help shape the annual trading calendar and provide clarity to investors regarding when US markets will pause activity during the year.

Chinese New Year: Tradition, Travel and Global Impact

Share

China’s Lunar New Year, popularly known as the Spring Festival, is the most important and widely celebrated traditional holiday in the country. Determined by the lunar calendar, the festival marks the beginning of a new year and usually falls between late January and mid-February, with the exact date changing annually.

At its heart, the Spring Festival is a celebration of family and renewal. It triggers what is often described as the world’s largest annual human migration, as millions of people travel across China to reunite with their families. Homes are adorned with red lanterns, couplets, and auspicious symbols representing prosperity and happiness. Families gather for elaborate reunion dinners featuring traditional dishes believed to attract good fortune in the coming year.

Fireworks, dragon and lion dances, temple visits, and various cultural performances are central to the festivities. These customs symbolically drive away negative energy and welcome a fresh start filled with hope and prosperity.

To enable nationwide celebrations, the Chinese government declares an extended public holiday, typically lasting about a week. During this period, stock markets close, factories pause production, and many offices and businesses suspend operations. The temporary slowdown highlights the festival’s deep cultural significance and ensures that people can fully participate in the celebrations.

Beyond its cultural importance, the Lunar New Year carries significant global economic implications. As one of the world’s largest economies, China’s temporary halt in industrial output and trade activity often affects international supply chains, commodity markets, and regional business operations. The holiday period can influence global liquidity and market trends, particularly across Asia.

In essence, the Spring Festival is more than a traditional celebration—it is a powerful blend of heritage, social unity, and economic influence that resonates far beyond China’s borders.

Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau to File Chargesheet; K T Rama Rao Named as A1 in Formula E Case

Share

The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Telangana is preparing to file a chargesheet this week in connection with the alleged irregularities in the Formula E car race held in Hyderabad.

The case, which has sparked significant political controversy in the state, reportedly names Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president and former minister K T Rama Rao (KTR) as the primary accused (A1). Senior IAS officer Arvind Kumar is expected to be listed as the second accused (A2).

According to official sources, the investigation has reached its final stage. The ACB had completed the chargesheet and was awaiting sanction from the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) to prosecute Arvind Kumar. The Centre has now granted the required permission, which has been conveyed to the state government and the ACB, clearing the way for the chargesheet to be filed in court.

Investigators claim to have collected substantial digital and electronic evidence to support allegations that the Formula E event caused a financial loss of ₹75.88 crore to the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA).

The race was conducted in February 2023 near Hussain Sagar and Lumbini Park during the previous BRS government. It was projected as a prestigious international sporting event aimed at enhancing Hyderabad’s global image and boosting tourism.

However, the project soon became mired in controversy. Opposition parties and civil society groups alleged financial irregularities in the tendering process and contractual agreements with private firms involved in track construction and event management.

One of the key allegations is that approximately ₹54 crore was released for the event without cabinet approval. The chargesheet is expected to allege misappropriation of funds, fraud, criminal conspiracy, and the granting of undue benefits to private entities.

The ACB had registered an FIR on December 18, 2024. Subsequently, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) launched a parallel investigation into alleged financial irregularities and money laundering aspects. Both agencies have questioned KTR, Arvind Kumar, and several others during the probe.

The ACB has also submitted its findings to the vigilance commission, while the ED continues its independent inquiry. With the filing of the chargesheet, the case is expected to enter a crucial legal phase in the coming days.

Trisha Accepts Apology from Tamil Nadu BJP Leader

Share

Tamil Nadu BJP state president Nainar Nagendran has issued an apology to actress Trisha following the controversy sparked by his remarks suggesting a relationship between her and TVK chief Vijay.

Nagendran’s comments had drawn widespread criticism from political parties, the film industry, and the public. Trisha reacted strongly, calling the remarks “disgusting” and “unacceptable,” and warned that she might pursue legal action.

Facing mounting backlash, Nagendran stepped back and officially withdrew his comments, offering an apology. While this seems to have settled the immediate controversy, many feel the damage caused by the statements cannot be easily undone.

Trisha has recently acted alongside Vijay in two films. Vijay, now actively involved in Tamil politics as TVK chief, has openly challenged the BJP and questioned its relevance in the state. Observers suggest that Trisha, who has no direct political involvement, may have been inadvertently drawn into political maneuvering targeting Vijay.

Reports indicate that Nagendran’s retraction was influenced by concerns over potential political fallout, highlighting the sensitive intersection of cinema and politics in Tamil Nadu.

China Grants 30-Day Visa-Free Access to UK and Canadian Travellers

Share

Starting February 17, 2026, China will allow ordinary passport holders from the United Kingdom and Canada to enter the country without a visa for stays up to 30 days. Announced by the Chinese Foreign Ministry, the waiver is intended to revive travel and strengthen people-to-people ties after years of pandemic disruptions. The policy, in effect until December 31, 2026, applies to tourism, business trips, family visits, exchanges, and transit travel, expanding an existing arrangement that already covers 48 countries. The timing also coincides with the Lunar New Year travel period.

The new visa waiver allows visitors to travel across mainland China without pre-arrival paperwork, enabling flexible itineraries across major cities and smaller destinations alike. The 30-day window is designed to support extended travel circuits, from southern food hubs and heritage towns to interior cultural regions. Authorities expect the policy to boost spontaneous travel and help inbound arrivals return to pre-pandemic levels. Improved rail links connecting major entry points to inland destinations are expected to further encourage tourism.

Business travel is also set to benefit. The waiver simplifies executive visits to financial and technology centres, allowing business travellers to combine meetings with leisure trips. Early reports indicate that commercial engagement has already increased, with corporate delegations extending visits beyond primary cities into secondary economic hubs.

The policy will also encourage family visits, particularly for overseas Chinese communities, making it easier to explore ancestral regions and boosting both rural tourism and heritage travel alongside urban destinations. Students, artists, and exchange groups will benefit from easier access for short programmes and collaborative visits, while transit passengers can explore nearby attractions during layovers under existing short-stay policies.

China has enhanced its digital immigration systems and biometric checks at major airports to speed up arrivals. Coupled with the country’s high-speed rail network, visitors can move quickly between destinations without complicated entry procedures.

The launch of the waiver during the Spring Festival, a period of major cultural celebrations and high tourist flows, is expected to maximize its impact. While the current policy runs through the end of 2026, officials have suggested it could become permanent depending on visitor response and demand, signaling a broader push to restore inbound travel and encourage international tourism spending across China’s diverse regions.
