Naveen Chandra’s Not A Doctor Sparks Intrigue with Eerie First Look

Share

Rahul Yadav Nakka’s banner Swadharm Entertainment, widely recognized for backing novel and content-driven cinema, has announced yet another intriguing and unconventional project. Director Srikanth Nagothi, who previously earned critical appreciation for his distinctive storytelling, is set to helm Naveen Chandra in his third directorial outing.

The film was officially announced on the auspicious occasion of Maha Shivaratri, along with its striking title — Not A Doctor. The title poster immediately grabs attention with its eerie and unsettling imagery. A massive, grimy hand emerges from the forest floor, its nails caked in dirt and skin coarse, entangled in twisted, moss-covered roots. Surrounded by dense trees and shadowy greenery, the visual creates a chilling atmosphere filled with suspense.

Adding to the intrigue is the tagline: “Based on a novel that was never written.” The line is as cryptic and captivating as the title itself, sparking instant curiosity. With such a mysterious combination of title, tagline, and poster design, the film has already managed to generate significant buzz.

The makers have hinted that more details regarding the cast, genre, and storyline will be unveiled in the coming days, further building anticipation around this first-of-its-kind venture.

Ravi Teja’s Irumudi Blends Rustic Romance with Emotional Depth

Share

Ravi Teja is gearing up to surprise audiences with a refreshingly unconventional role in his upcoming film Irumudi, directed by Shiva Nirvana. Backed by the prominent pan-India banner Mythri Movie Makers, the project instantly created buzz when its first look was unveiled on Ravi Teja’s birthday.

Adding to the excitement, the makers revealed the first look of Priya Bhavani Shankar on the occasion of Maha Shivaratri. The poster beautifully captures the chemistry between the lead pair. Ravi Teja appears in a rugged, earthy makeover that reflects a deeply rooted rural character. In contrast to his intense mass persona, the affectionate moment where he plants a gentle kiss on Kaveri’s cheek reveals a softer, romantic dimension. Priya Bhavani Shankar, dressed in a traditional saree, exudes grace and natural charm. The rustic backdrop, complete with a banana cart, further establishes the village setting and hints at a tender love story.

However, Irumudi promises to be more than just romance. Shiva Nirvana has reportedly crafted an emotionally charged narrative that blends strong sentiment with commercial elements. At its core lies a poignant father–daughter relationship, presenting Ravi Teja in a performance that demands emotional depth along with a noticeable physical and character transformation.

The film’s technical team adds further weight to expectations. Music is composed by G. V. Prakash Kumar, cinematography is handled by Vishnu Sarma, production design is by Sahi Suresh, and editing is overseen by Prawin Pudi. The shoot is currently progressing at a brisk pace, with the team working steadily to bring this emotionally layered entertainer to the big screen.

Ram Charan’s Peddi Packs Cricket and Kushti High Points Ahead of April 30 Release

Director Buchi Babu Sana is leaving no stone unturned to ensure that Ram Charan’s upcoming rural action drama Peddi delivers a thunderous theatrical experience. Slated for release on April 30, the film is being crafted with several goosebump-inducing moments aimed at generating mass hysteria in cinemas.

Reportedly centered around multiple sports, Peddi is said to feature a variety of high-energy sequences inspired by games that enjoy both global appeal and deep local roots. It is already known that the film includes a major cricket-based episode, which is expected to stand out as one of its biggest highlights.

Adding to the excitement, the latest buzz reveals an intense kushti (wrestling) sequence that unfolds at a crucial juncture in the narrative. This high-voltage portion is currently being shot in Hyderabad. Sources suggest that Buchi Babu is meticulously designing the scene to ensure it appears raw, organic, and visually striking on the big screen. Ram Charan’s remarkable physical transformation and rugged, earthy makeover are anticipated to amplify the impact of these power-packed moments.

The team recently completed filming a heavy-duty climax and has now shifted focus to wrapping up the remaining key portions. Interestingly, the unit is also planning to celebrate Buchi Babu’s birthday on Sunday after concluding the ongoing schedule.

Although the film was postponed from its earlier March 27 release date, the makers are working at a brisk pace to avoid any last-minute rush. Going by the current momentum, Peddi is firmly on track for its April 30 release without further delays.

The film boasts an impressive ensemble cast including Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, Divyendu Sharma, and Boman Irani. The music is composed by the legendary A. R. Rahman, further elevating expectations surrounding the project.

Telugu Youth Create Buzz for Michael Jackson Biopic

Share

The Telugu audience have always stood out for their unmatched enthusiasm in supporting quality cinema. If a film connects with them, language is never a barrier. This is one of the key reasons why several films from other industries are consistently dubbed into Telugu, with many of them going on to perform impressively at the box office.

Now, that same passion has extended beyond Indian cinema and reached Hollywood. The upcoming biopic on the legendary King of Pop, Michael Jackson, titled Michael, is gearing up for its release on April 24. While there is moderate anticipation for the film in Western markets, the buzz in India—especially in the South—initially appeared minimal.

However, Telugu youth on social media have taken matters into their own hands. A group of highly talented Telugu editors have created a series of engaging fan-made edits using footage from the film, blending it with popular songs of South Indian superstars. These creative mashups are now going viral across platforms like Twitter and Instagram.

As a result, many who had not previously paid attention to the promotional material are now discovering the film through these edits. The organic buzz generated by Telugu netizens is significantly increasing the film’s visibility in the Telugu states.

Once again, it proves that when it comes to celebrating cinema, the Telugu audience are truly unparalleled. In fact, some netizens are joking that even Hollywood marketing strategies might fall short of the sheer dedication and creativity displayed by Telugu youth—and it’s hard to disagree.

Mahesh Babu and Namrata: A Timeless Love Story

Share

The love story of Mahesh Babu and Namrata Shirodkar is one of the most heartwarming and inspiring tales in South Indian cinema. Unlike many celebrity romances, theirs did not begin with drama or publicity. It started simply and gradually blossomed into a strong, lasting relationship.

Mahesh Babu was at the early stage of his acting career, while Namrata was already a well-known face after winning the Miss India title and acting in Hindi films. Their paths first crossed in 1999 during the Telugu film Vamsi, which was Mahesh’s debut as a hero and Namrata’s first Telugu project. At that time, they were complete strangers.

During the shooting in 2000, their interactions increased, and what began as a casual acquaintance slowly developed into a deep friendship. By the end of the shoot, their friendship quietly transformed into love. Despite a four-year age difference, with Namrata being older, Mahesh valued her maturity, while Namrata admired his simplicity and dedication. Their bond grew on trust, respect, and mutual understanding.

The couple kept their relationship private for a long time. Mahesh initially shared the news only with his sister and didn’t inform his parents immediately, aiming to protect their love from unnecessary attention. In 2004, they went public with their relationship, and on February 10, 2005, they married in Mumbai in a traditional Telugu ceremony.

After marriage, Namrata stepped away from films to focus on family life. They were blessed with a son, Gautam Krishna, in 2006, and a daughter, Sitara, in 2012. Like any couple, they faced challenges, but their unwavering support for each other strengthened their bond. Today, Mahesh and Namrata are admired as an ideal couple, showing that love, patience, trust, and family values can turn a simple beginning into a lifelong partnership.

Suriya and Jyothika: A Heartwarming Love Story

Share

The love story of Suriya and Jyothika is widely regarded as one of the most heartwarming and inspiring tales in South Indian cinema. With Valentine’s Day approaching, celebrity love stories are trending once again, and the journey of Suriya and Jyothika stands out as truly special.

The couple first met on film sets, where their friendship gradually blossomed into love. Their bond was built on mutual respect, understanding, and unwavering support. However, their relationship faced significant hurdles, particularly from family members.

Suriya’s father, Shivakumar, has openly spoken about this period, admitting that he initially struggled to accept their love. As a concerned father, he had reservations and could not immediately endorse their decision. But Suriya was firm in his feelings, telling his father that he would remain single if he could not marry Jyothika. His honesty, commitment, and clarity eventually made a deep impact.

Shivakumar later reflected on his own career, recalling that he had acted in nearly 150 films, many of which celebrated love marriages. He questioned how he could support love stories on screen yet deny his son’s love in real life. This realization led him to give his blessings, and Suriya and Jyothika married with the family’s support.

Since then, the couple has built a beautiful life together, supporting each other through both personal and professional challenges. Today, they are proud parents of two children and are widely admired as one of the most respected and enduring couples in the South Indian film industry.

Vishwak Sen’s Film Struggles at Box Office Despite Big Expectations

Share

Vishwak Sen, one of Telugu cinema’s rising stars, reportedly charges ₹5–7 crore per film and currently has three projects in hand. With strong backing from Sithara Entertainments, direction by KV Anudeep, and Kayadu Lohar as the heroine, expectations were high for a solid opening.

However, the film’s release was surprisingly weak. Day 1 occupancy struggled to reach 40% in many centres, with regions like Rayalaseema dipping below 10%. Even Nizam, considered Vishwak’s stronghold, showed disappointing collections.

Back-to-back underperformers appear to have taken a toll on audience sentiment. A recent average performer followed by a flop seems to have affected his current film, and hopes for a word-of-mouth revival on Day 2 did not materialize, with collections remaining flat.

Reports suggest the film grossed around ₹8 crore across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, falling short of the expected benchmark. Producers generally anticipate at least double the hero’s remuneration as business, but that margin was missing.

Vishwak Sen is not alone in this trend. Other prominent stars like Sharwanand, Gopichand, and Ravi Teja are also grappling with shrinking openings and falling box office numbers, indicating a broader shift in audience behaviour and market dynamics.
