The video captures Khan in the kitchen, humorously referring to Huma and Patralekhaa as bhookas (the hungry ones) and playfully instructing them on the “art” of making an omelette.

Her friends can be seen eagerly waiting for breakfast, adding to the laughter with playful banter in the background. The ‘CityLights’ actress tells Farah, “We are very hungry, Farah ma’am.”

The acclaimed filmmaker Richie Mehta, who is known for ‘Delhi Crime’ and ‘Poacher’, has been announced as one of the ambassadors for the All Living Things Environmental Film Festival (ALT EFF) 2024. The festival, dedicated to raising awareness about sustainability and environmental issues is set to be held from November 22 to December 8 this year.

Every year, ALT EFF brings in new ambassadors to be the voice of the festival, helping to amplify the message of utilising cinema as a medium for creating change. In 2023, actress Alia Bhatt was the face of the festival, and this year, Richie Mehta takes on the role of promoting sustainability and environmental consciousness through the lens of filmmaking.

Speaking about his involvement with the festival, Richie Mehta said “Cinema has the power to educate, inspire, and provoke thought. Festivals like ALT EFF are crucial in ensuring that we as a society confront the environmental challenges we face today. My work on Poacher highlighted the tragic impact of illegal wildlife trade, and through ALT EFF, I hope to further drive conversations around conservation and sustainability”.

His work on ‘Poacher’, produced by Alia Bhatt, sheds light on the illegal ivory trade and the poaching of elephants in India. The series aligns perfectly with the festival’s mission. ‘Poacher’ is an important expose on the grim realities of wildlife exploitation, a subject that forms the cornerstone of the themes of ALT EFF in promoting a sustainable future.

OTT series Mirzapur expands into a film, marks return of series favourite Munna Bhaiyya

The OTT series ‘Mirzapur’ is expanding into a universe with a ‘Mirzapur’ film with a fresh storyline on the horizon, and there’s a reason for the fans to rejoice, it marks the return of Munna Bhaiyya (played by Divyenndu).

The makers on Monday announced the ‘Mirzapur’ movie. Created by Puneet Krishna and directed by Gurmmeet Singh, the film is scheduled for a release in 2026, and features the iconic characters of Mirzapur, Kaleen Bhaiya (played by Pankaj Tripathi), Guddu Pandit (played Ali Fazal) and Munna Tripathi (played by Divyenndu) along with Abhishek Banerjee who plays the role of the Compounder in the series along with other actors.

Talking about expanding the ‘Mirzapur’ universe into a film, producers Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar of Excel Entertainment said, “It is a landmark milestone for us to bring the quintessential Mirzapur experience to our audiences, yet again, but this time on the big screen. Over the course of three successful seasons, this acclaimed franchise has struck all the right chords with fans through its powerful storytelling and memorable characters – from the likes of Kaleen Bhaiya, Guddu Bhaiya, and Munna Bhaiya, to name a few”.

They further mentioned, “We believe that adapting such a treasured series into a film will undoubtedly make for an even more engrossing watch, allowing audiences to immerse themselves in the world of Mirzapur like never before. We are stoked to collaborate with Prime Video, once again, and look forward to delivering a grand cinematic experience, which will truly live up to the expectations of our dedicated fanbase”.

The film is produced by Amazon MGM Studios and Excel Entertainment.
