‘Pushpa 2’ Beats All Bollywood Flicks & Stands On Top!

Many expected Bollywood’s fortunes to change after the massive success of Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Pathaan’. Since this spy thriller minted 1000 crores worldwide, trade pundits expected other Hindi films to perform well and bring back the last glory. But all the huge failures in recent times prove that the North audience are still not getting impressed by Hindi films.

Movies like Karthik Aryan’s ‘Shehzada’, Ajay Devgn’s ‘Bholaa’, Akshay Kumar’s ‘Selfiee’, ‘Bheed’, ‘Gumraah’ and others turned out to be huge commercial failures. Ranbir Kapoor’s ‘Tu Jhooti Main Makkar’ is the only film other than ‘Pathaan’ to have a decent run in theatres in 2023. The film industry is curious to know what the audience really want and which is the most awaited film in 2023.

Popular surveying company Ormax Cinematix has researched and released a list of the Most Awaited Hindi films list. Shockingly, the first place is grabbed by Allu Arjun’s upcoming flick ‘Pushpa 2’. A lot of big films are getting released this year including Akshay’s ‘Hera Pheri 4’, Ajay Devgn’s ‘Maidan’, Salman Khan’s ‘Tiger 4’, SRK’s ‘Jawaan’, Ranbir’s ‘Animal’ and many more. But it is the Telugu film ‘Pushpa 2’ which topped the list. This first part of this massy action drama get a huge reception in North India and the recently released glimpse and poster showcasing Allu Arjun dressed as a goddess whilst holding a gun has surely generated huge expectations.

However, ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ is getting released in 2024 and the North audience are still eagerly waiting for this flick. We need to wait and see if Sukumar & Co satisfies them or not.

Rashmika Mandanna is the heroine in this flick while Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings are bankrolling this project. Devi Sri Prasad is the music composer. Fahadh Fasil will be seen as the antagonist while Dhanunjay, Rao Ramesh, Suneel, Anasuya Bharadwaj and others play key roles. Miroslaw Kuba Brozek is the cinematographer while Karthika Srinivas is the editor.

‘Gala Gala Yerula’ Lyrical: A Sweet Melody With Lovely Chemistry!

Nandini Reddy is one talented filmmaker who is an expert in making light-hearted romantic entertainers with a good dose of emotions. After movies like ‘Ala Modalaindi’ and ‘Kalyana Vaibhogame’, she is arriving with another beautiful love story titled ‘Anni Manchi Sakunamule’. The movie is arriving on 18th May and talented actors Santosh Sobhan and Malavika Nair are playing the lead roles while the ‘Vyjayanthi Movies’ banner is bankrolling it.

The glimpse which came out a few days back created a positive vibe on the movie. The first two songs of the movie got a tremendous response and the makers released ‘Gala Gala Yerula’ lyrical which is quite soft and romantic. This dreamy number starts off pleasantly. The feel continues subtly, with the pace slowing down at times to bring that special charm. The lyrics are sweet while Mickey J Meyer’s music is like honey to the ears. Rehman penned the lyrics, wherein Nakul Abhyankar and Ramya Bhat Abhyankar’s vocals are mesmerizing.

The song was picturized so pleasingly in some exotic locations in Italy and the lead pair looks vibrant and the chemistry they have is just amazing. The choreography was neat. Lakshmi Bhupala is the dialogue writer. Priyanka Dutt is the producer while Sunny Kurapati and Richard Prasad are the directors of photography. Junaid is the editor while Dawood penned the screenplay. The rest of the movie’s cast includes Rajendra Prasad, Rao Ramesh, Naresh, Gauthami, Sowcar Janaki, Vasuki, Vennela Kishore, Ramya Subramanian, Anju Alva Naik, Oorvasi, Ashwin Kumar and others.

‘Vyavastha’ Trailer Talk: An Engaging Courtroom Drama!

Popular OTT platform ZEE5 is dishing out a lot of original content and the latest offering for this streaming network is ‘Vyavastha’. It is a captivating and engaging courtroom drama where a talented and honest rookie lawyer goes head-to-head with a powerful lawyer who is unbeatable. Anand Ranga who made ‘Oy!’ back in 2009 has directed ‘Vyavastha’ and he even made ‘Shootout At Alair’ earlier. It features Karthik Ratnam, Sampath Raj, Hebbah Patel and Kamna Jethmalani in the lead roles.

The trailer came out a while ago and the web series is going to be filled with twists, turns and highly enthralling confrontational scenes in the court. Siddhu Jonnalagadda has unveiled the trailer digitally and it opens with a law trainer saying that today’s law might become tomorrow’s crime much as today’s crime might become tomorrow’s law. We are then shown visuals of Sampath Raj’s ambitious character wanting to become a monopoly by hiring the best lawyers on his side.

Karthik is introduced as an honest and ethical junior lawyer. He might be low on self-esteem but his zeal to get Yamini, a murder-accused woman, absolved is undying. Vamsi challenges the star lawyer, Chakraborty (played by Sampath Raj), in defense of Yamini, the pretty lady from the past. He crushed on her years ago and is now back in her life to redeem her fallen image. Yamini is played by Hebah Patel, who is attempting an unconventional role in this series while Kamna Jathmalani did an important role as well.

The trailer is well-edited and the story is set partly in a law college. The trailer certainly packs a punch and makes you eagerly wait for the web series which will be streaming on ZEE5 from 28th April. Pattabhi Chilukuri is the producer while Anil Bhandari is the cinematographer.

ZEE5 has been dishing out a wide variety of content in various formats in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati, Bengali and other languages. After presenting the comedy-drama ‘Oka Chinna Family Story’ from Pink Elephant Pictures, ‘Loser 2’ from Annapurna Studios stable, ‘Gaalivaana’ from BBC Studios and NorthStar Entertainment, ‘Recce’, ‘Hello World’, ‘Maa Neella Tank’, ‘Aha Naa Pellanta’ and most recently ‘ATM’, ‘Puli Meka’ and ‘Vyavastha’ is the latest offering from them.

Ram Charan To Enter Successful Tournament IPL?

MegaPowerstar Ram Charan is one of the leading stars in Tollywood. His image reached the global level with the super success of RRR. Ram Charan is not just a star, he is also an entrepreneur and has a polo team. The mega hero also ventured into the airline sector in the past.

Now it is said that Ram Charan is reportedly taking steps to venture into IPL and own a team. If everything goes well he might participate in the auction and announce his team. Ram Charan might become the first hero to own an IPL team from the Telugu industry.

Bollywood Superstars Shah Rukh Khan, Juhi Chawla, and Preity Zinta already own IPL teams. But no one from the Tollywood industry has a team in the IPL. Rana Daggubati is associated with the Kabaddi team and he is the ambassador of the Telugu Titans team. Due to various reasons, Telugu stars did not look at IPL.

For two Telugu states, we have just one team which is SRH. From Andhra Pradesh, there is no representation and things are underway to see that a team from the state comes. Media reports say that there are high chances of a new team under Vizag coming into the tournament.

In the last season, two teams Gujarat Titans (GT) and Lucknow Supergiants (LSG) entered the IPL. The Gujarat Titans scripted history by winning the IPL trophies in its maiden season. The Hardik Pandya-led team won the trophy.

As Ram Charan already proved himself as an entrepreneur, reports say that the star hero is looking at the IPL tournament to have a team of his own. However, it might take a long time for this to happen as he is busy with his films. Let us wait and see what happens next.

On the work front, Ram Charan was last seen in magnum opus RRR in which he played Alluri Sitarama Raju. Now he is busy with the Pan-India film Game Changer. Celebrated director Shankar is directing the film and Dil Raju is bankrolling the film. Kiara Advani is playing the leading lady. After Vinaya Vidheya Rama, Kiara is pairing up with Ram Charan.

AB & Aishwarya’s Daughter Moved High Court For Case Against Fake News!

Aaradhya Bachchan who is the daughter of Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has moved the High Court of Delhi against a YouTube tabloid for spreading fake news regarding her health. This fake news spread all over the internet and the 11-year-old was affected by it.

The official hearing on this case will take place on 20th April. As we are aware, the Bachchan family has always been the center of attention and Abhishek even said in a couple of interviews that his daughter is being subjected to a lot of trolls and memes. He specifically claimed that he won’t be tolerating any kind of hate towards her daughter on social media. He said that any personal comments should be aimed at him but not his minor daughter.

Aaradhya Bachchan is often seen making public appearances along with her mother Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Apparently, the 11-year-old has asked for an injunction to stop such social media coverage. It is to be seen where this case on The YouTube tabloid leads to in the coming days.

Star actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu is working on her biggest project till date. She is playing the female lead in the Indian version of ‘Citadel’ web series. The Hollywood version is all set to release on 28th April and the premieres were held in London recently. As we know, Priyanka Chopra and Richard Madden worked together on this action web series that will be streamed on Amazon Prime Video.

It is one of the most-awaited series in the world and it was made by the Russo brothers. Samantha is playing the female in the Indian version of ‘Citadel’ which is being made by Raj & DK. Varun Dhawan is the main lead and the shooting is currently going on. The entire team flew to London to witness the premiere and the clicks of them together is currently going viral.

We can see the creators Raj & DK, hero Varun Dhawan and heroine Samantha dressed in all black and posing in front of a scenic location. Samantha looked amazing in this outfit from Victoria Beckham clothing. With a fashionable hairdo and designer jewelry, Samantha is just wonderful to look at and charming hero Varun Dhawan matched her style sense with his outfit. While the English version is getting positive reports, we need to see how the Indian version turns out.

As we know, Sam is the female lead in ‘Khushi’ which is being directed by Shiva Nirvana. Vijay Deverakonda is the hero in this project which will be released on 1st September 2023. No Remakes From Chiru Now Onwards!

Megastar Chiranjeevi is riding high on the success of his Sankranti release ‘Waltair Veerayya’. This regular commercial entertainer turned out to be the biggest hit in his career and gave a huge relief to the legendary star after a huge debacle like ‘Acharya’ and an average flick like ‘Godfather’. As we know, he made a comeback to films with ‘Kaththi’ remake and named it ‘Khaidi No 150’.

His ‘Godfather’ is a remake of ‘Lucifer’ while his upcoming film ‘Bholaa Shankar’ is the remake of Ajith’s super hit movie ‘Vedhalam’. Despite all the remakes, it is a straight film that gave him his biggest hit. Chiru’s fans are expecting only straight films from him and remakes are not getting a positive response these days.

Sources say that Megastar is looking out for fresh concepts and entertaining films these days. Reports suggest that he gave ‘Bimbisara’ director Vashishta the green signal and is even in talks with a few other directors as well. His fans are quite happy that Megastar is withdrawing from remakes for now. We need to wait and see who gets a chance to work with Megastar in the coming days.

Story supervision is by Satyanand and dialogues are by Thirupathi Mamidala, wherein Marthand K Venkatesh takes care of editing and AS Prakash is the production designer. Anil Sunkara is bankrolling this project while Meher Ramesh is directing it.

Nandamuri Balakrishna and Boyapati Sreenu is a combination made in heaven. Only the ‘Bhadra’ director knows how to bring out the best in a mass star hero like Balayya. The biggest hits in the last 15 years of Balakrishna’s career came under Boyapati’s direction. ‘Simha’ which came out in 2010 was a sensation and the combo followed it up with ‘Legend’ in 2014 which was a super hit too.

In 2021, they delivered ‘Akhanda’ which is the biggest hit in the senior hero’s career till date. The movie created a havoc at the Telugu box office and Balayya’s powerful portrayal of Aghora’s character paired with Boyapati’s taking made it a phenomenal success. While there are conversations happening about ‘Akhanda 2’, the update suggests that Balayya and Boyapati will be reuniting for sure.

Currently, NBK is working with Anil Ravipudi and Boyapati is working with Ram Pothineni. Both of them are planning to arrive during the Dasara season. With the 2024 elections looming large, Balakrishna is expected to invest his complete focus onto that and Boyapati will be readying a perfect script by then. This much-awaited project may kickstart after the 2024 elections and 14 Reels Plus banner is expected to bankroll it. Fans cannot wait for this crazy combo to deliver for the fourth time.

Apart from that, Balakrishna is planning to act and direct ‘Aditya 369’ sequel as well and he is in contact with other directors too. Let us wait and see what happens.

Over-Budgeted Ugram – A Safe Bet for the Makers

Allari Naresh, known for his versatile acting skills, is all set to mesmerize the audience with his upcoming movie, Ugram, directed by Vijay Kanakamedala, who also directed the successful movie Nandi. The teaser and trailer of the movie have already created a buzz among the audience with their captivating content.

Though the movie was slightly over budgeted, the director justified the budget by stating that it was in accordance with the content. The total cost of the movie is estimated to be around 15 crores, out of which a non-theatrical profit of 10 crores has already been made before the shooting.

Recently, the producers have closed the theatrical business, earning another five crores for the movie, making it a safe investment for the producer. The movie is said to have a serious social message along with good family moments, and Naresh’s police character is expected to be a highlight.

The film unit has full confidence in the movie and assures that it has not fallen short of expectations. The success of the movie can only be determined after its release and the box office collections.
