The upcoming film Raja Saab is generating strong buzz nationwide ahead of its theatrical release on January 9. Marking one of the first major Indian releases of the year, the film carries high expectations, largely due to Prabhas’s presence in the lead role. Known for delivering massive openings across regions, Prabhas once again places the film in a favorable pre-release position.
In the Telugu states, Raja Saab is expected to register a powerful opening. Prabhas enjoys a loyal fan base, and the Sankranthi festive season traditionally boosts theatre footfalls. Trade analysts believe that even average word of mouth during this holiday period could translate into solid box office numbers, with strong turnout expected from day one.
Outside the Telugu belt, prospects remain largely positive. In North India, Prabhas has steadily built a strong following, with his previous films opening well regardless of promotional intensity. With no major Hindi releases scheduled during Sankranthi, Raja Saab is likely to enjoy a clear advantage in the Hindi market. Positive reviews could further help the film establish itself as a pan-Indian success.
Tamil Nadu, however, may pose a tougher challenge. The simultaneous release of Vijay’s Jana Nayagan and the upcoming arrival of Sivakarthikeyan’s Parasakthi could limit Raja Saab’s dominance in the region. In contrast, Karnataka and Kerala present relatively open ground, where the film is expected to open decently and grow based on audience response.
Directed by Maruthi, Raja Saab blends horror and fantasy elements and is mounted on a grand scale by People Media Factory. With favorable conditions across most markets except Tamil Nadu, all eyes are now on audience feedback, which will ultimately determine how far Raja Saab travels at the box office.

Naga Vamsi Opens Up About Gifts From Jr NTR and Allu Arjun
Popular producer Naga Vamsi’s recent interview has sparked wide discussion among movie fans, thanks to his candid comments about relationships between producers and actors. During the conversation, the anchor asked whether producers usually give gifts to heroes or directors to maintain good relations. Responding immediately, Naga Vamsi clarified that such practices are not compulsory and that there is no fixed tradition of gifting in the industry.
When further asked if he had ever received gifts from actors, Naga Vamsi smiled and answered honestly. He revealed that he has received gifts from two heroes—Jr NTR and Allu Arjun. Sharing details, he said Jr NTR gifted him twice during Devara and Aravinda Sametha Veera Raghava, while Allu Arjun gave him a gift during Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo.
One of the most memorable moments from the interview was Naga Vamsi recalling a watch gifted by Jr NTR. He explained that during Aravinda Sametha, Jr NTR offered to buy him a new watch, but Naga Vamsi instead asked for the watch Jr NTR was wearing at the time. Emphasizing the emotional value over monetary worth, he said the gift was special because it came from love and affection, and Jr NTR handed it over instantly without hesitation.
When asked if he ever felt like requesting such a gift from anyone else, Naga Vamsi firmly replied that he had not, stating that he made the request only because of his deep admiration for Jr NTR. He concluded by revealing that his admiration for the actor began with the film Aadi, marking the start of his long-standing respect for Taraka.
