Pic speaks a Million words: BRS leaders feast on Cong leader’s house ahead of Kavitha’s protest

A photo, as the adage goes, speaks a million words. Many times, an innocuous pic can kick up a mighty storm. A pic taken of some female politicians, enjoying the hospitality of another female politician, is now the talk of the town in Telangana. The photo has come at the most inopportune time for both the Congress and the ruling BRS.
The other day when BRS MLC and KCR’s daughter Kalwakuntla Kavitha staged a protest at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar. Naturally, several BRS women leaders, including Ministers Sabiha Indra Reddy, Satyavathi Rathod, MP Maloth Kavitha and others, were there in Delhi to express their solidarity with Kavitha.
But, a day ahead, there was a get-together of all these BRS women leaders at Congress leader Padmavathi in Delhi. Now Padmavathi is a former MLA and wife of former PCC chief Uttam Kumar Reddy. Now diehard Congressman Uttam Kumar Reddy hosting a dinner for diehard BRS leaders is no small news.
This has lent credence to the BJP argument that both the Congress and the BRS are the two sides of the same coin. The BJP has been saying this for quite some time and has even questioned Revanth Reddy’s silence on Delhi’s liquor scam in which Kavitha Kalwakuntla is allegedly involved. In fact, she has just been questioned by the Enforcement Directorate.
