‘Yashoda’s success due to honest storytelling’
Directors Hari and Harish are ecstatic over the success of their latest release Yashoda, starring Samantha. The survival thriller has been getting rave reviews for the unique narration.
“We are absolutely thrilled with the response Yashoda has been getting! I think what worked for the film apart from Samantha’s stellar performance was the twists at the right time and honest storytelling. We were confident that the film would do well, but never expected such a thumping response,” says Harish.
Hari feels the audience’s appreciation is a validation of their conviction and hard work. He says the success has given them great confidence.
“Honestly, it’s been overwhelming; our mobiles have been ringing incessantly. The film’s success is a result of team work and honest storytelling,” he avers.
“While writing the script, we imagined casting Samantha, but we were unsure whether we could actually have her in the cast because of our budget constraints. But when we narrated it to producer Sivalenka Krishna Prasad, he said the story had scope for a wider audience. Hence, after getting Samantha on board, we wanted to make it five languages,” say the directors, adding that writing is key in this film.
In a creative field like films, it is natural to have contrasting perceptions. Acknowledging that they have their own style of work, the duo reveals that they also have healthy arguments. “If we have to convince each other, there should be some logic in the point being made; we complement each other,” they say.
A thriller with an emotional edge is sure to have great audience appeal, and Yashoda is exactly that, says Harish, adding that Samantha had elevated the action sequences with her finesse. “I think Post Covid, audiences have started consuming more thriller films, and I think Yashoda’s genre was a huge plus for us,” he adds.

Shanvi Srivastava might have started her career in Telugu in 2012 with the film Lovely, but with time she had later expanded her horizons and ventured into Kannada, Malayalam and Marathi films. She describes her decade journey as ‘very enriching.’
“The best aspect of learning was that I could meet people from various cultures. That itself was very enriching to know because just like how cinema reaches out to every nook and corner, we get to work with people from the smallest of towns,” shares Shanvi.
Having been part of more than 20 films in a decade long career, Shanvi says she always did films at her own pace. “I was never in a hurry for work because you should fit into the role naturally,” says the actress, adding that playing different roles gave her a lot of work satisfaction and confidence.
Working in multiple industries, according to her, is recognition of work. “When filmmakers from other languages approach you, it’s a validation of your hard work. Also, it’s always exciting to work in a new language because of the opportunity to connect with a new audience,’ she says.
Superstar Krishna In Hospital! How Is He Now?
Due to some respiratory issues, superstar Krishna was immediately joined in the Continental hospital at Gachibowli. Senior actor Naresh claims that it is a minor health issue and confirmed that he is under the supervision of top doctors. It has been informed that he can be discharged in the next 24 hours.
As soon as the yesteryear actor was admitted in the hospital, his family members reached there as quickly as they could. It is heard that Namrata, Mahesh Babu, Naresh and other family members are all present at the hospital.
Krishna has been suffering from age-related health problems for quite some time now. His health condition is being carefully monitored by the doctors all these days. The family members witnessed his inconvenience on Sunday night and immediately admitted him to the hospital.
However, the hospital chairman Gurunath Reddy claimed that he had a heart attack last night. He was kept in the emergency and they reportedly did CPR on him for thirty minutes. There are reports arriving that he has been kept on a ventilator too. Let us wait for further details.

As he wanted the state to be combined he is said to have dealt with the Telangana protests with an iron fist. Even after the state bifurcation Kiran Kumar Reddy did not leave his combined Andhra Pradesh ideology and went to polls with the same demand.
However, he lost the polls and joined the grand old Congress party again. He met Rahul Gandhi a few months back and it is said that he might be given a good post in the Andhra Pradesh wing of the Congress party. It might be interesting to see Kiran Kumar Reddy facing questions on all this.
