Advocate Prashant Patil, representing Shilpa Shetty Kundra, categorically clarified that no Income Tax raid was conducted at her residence. He explained that what occurred was merely a routine verification by IT officials as part of standard follow-up procedures. He further cautioned that any attempt to mischievously link these developments to the alleged Economic Offences Wing (EOW) case would invite strict legal action.
Reiterating his position, Patil stressed that there was absolutely no IT raid at Shilpa Shetty’s home and that reports suggesting otherwise were inaccurate.
Meanwhile, Shilpa Shetty has also broken her silence amid the ongoing investigation related to the alleged ₹60 crore fraud case. In a statement issued by her team, the actress said she was being unfairly dragged into the matter and clarified that her association with the concerned company was extremely limited and non-operational. She stated that she had no role in the company’s daily operations, financial management, decision-making, or signing authority.
Shetty further explained that, like several other public figures, she had only endorsed certain products for a home shopping channel in a strictly professional capacity, and that payments owed to her for the same were still pending. She also revealed that her family had, in fact, extended a substantial loan to the company.
According to her statement, nearly ₹20 crore was loaned by her family, and the amount remains unpaid. She questioned the attempt to impute criminal liability on her after an unexplained delay of nearly nine years, calling it legally untenable and contrary to settled principles of law.

ED Cracks Down on YouTuber Over Illegal Betting App Promotions
A YouTuber accused of earning massive illegal profits by promoting online betting and gambling applications has come under the scanner of the Enforcement Directorate (ED). Anurag Dwivedi, a resident of Unnao in Uttar Pradesh, is alleged to have led a lavish lifestyle funded through unlawful earnings generated from these platforms.
During searches conducted at his residence, ED officials reportedly seized four luxury vehicles, including a Lamborghini Urus, a BMW Z4, and a Mercedes-Benz. Officials stated that the income earned through the promotion of betting and gambling apps was laundered through multiple channels before being used to acquire high-end cars and other expensive assets.
The action has been initiated under the provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). Investigators revealed that Dwivedi attempted to conceal assets purchased using illegal proceeds by projecting them as legitimate investments. The searches at his Unnao residence were carried out to trace, identify, and document such assets.
According to officials, Dwivedi operated a YouTube channel through which he actively promoted illegal betting and gambling applications. These promotional activities allegedly encouraged a large number of users to register on the platforms, significantly expanding the scale of unlawful operations.
The ED is also probing a wider network linked to the racket. Two other accused individuals, identified as Sonu Kumar Thakur and Vishal Bhardwaj, were found to be involved in running online betting and gambling operations using mule bank accounts, Telegram channels, and other digital platforms.
Investigations have revealed that Dwivedi played a key role in marketing these illegal platforms by creating and circulating promotional videos. Officials stated that he received illegal payments through hawala operators, mule accounts, and cash transactions routed via intermediaries.
Large sums of money were allegedly credited to the bank accounts of Dwivedi’s companies and his family members without any legitimate business justification. The probe has further uncovered that a portion of the proceeds of crime was invested in immovable properties abroad, particularly in Dubai, using funds generated through the promotion and facilitation of illegal betting websites.
Further investigation is underway to ascertain the total amount of illegal money generated and to identify all individuals and entities connected to the network.
TDP Accuses YCP of Blocking Andhra Pradesh Development
The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) has accused the YSR Congress Party (YCP) of deliberately attempting to obstruct the reconstruction and development of Andhra Pradesh. According to TDP leaders, almost every major initiative taken by the present government to attract investments and generate employment is being targeted through legal challenges.
They have cited a recent Public Interest Litigation (PIL) filed against the allocation of land to Raheja Corp for the development of an IT park in Visakhapatnam. The petition was reportedly filed by the Society for Protection of Constitution, with senior advocate Ponnavolu Sudhakar Reddy arguing the case. TDP leaders alleged that such petitions are politically motivated and intended solely to stall development-oriented projects.
Reacting strongly to the issue, IT Minister Nara Lokesh questioned YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s intentions towards the youth of Andhra Pradesh. He asked why there was consistent opposition to projects that promise large-scale employment and economic growth. Lokesh stated that the proposed IT projects alone have the potential to generate over one lakh jobs for the state’s youth.
He further alleged that the YCP has repeatedly approached courts against major IT investments, including projects by TCS, Cognizant, Satva, and now the Raheja IT Park. According to Lokesh, these legal interventions are not driven by genuine public interest but are aimed at discouraging investors from choosing Andhra Pradesh.
TDP leaders also claimed that this pattern of opposition is not new. They recalled that during the previous regime, YCP had filed cases against recruitment initiatives such as DSC notifications and police constable appointments. Now, they argue, the party has escalated its approach by challenging land allotments meant for IT companies that could provide livelihoods to lakhs of people.
The ruling NDA alliance believes that while the YCP failed to bring meaningful development during its tenure, it is now attempting to halt the state’s progress by creating hurdles for fresh investments and employment-generating projects.
