KCR not likely to receive PM on Hyderabad visit
In what is being seen as a politically significant move, Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao is not likely to receive Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the latter’s visit to Hyderabad on Saturday.
The Chief Minister has nominated Animal Husbandry, Fisheries, Dairy Development and Cinematography Minister T. Srinivas Yadav to receive and see off the Prime Minister during his visit.
According to a communication from the Chief Minister’s office to the Principal Secretary, General Administration Department (Political), the Chief Minister has agreed to the proposal for nominating Srinivas Yadav to be the minister-in-waiting to receive and see off the Prime Minister on arrival and departure.
This may be the first time since he became Chief Minister in 2014 that KCR will not be receiving the Prime Minister on his visit to Hyderabad.
The last time Modi had visited Hyderabad was on November 28, 2020 when he went to Bharat Biotech, the pharma company that developed India’s first Covid-19 vaccine Covaxin. However, at that time the Chief Minister was informed by the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) that he need not come to the airport to receive the PM.
The Telangana Chief Secretary, the DGP and a couple of other officials had received the Prime Minister. The visit had come amid the elections for the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) which saw a bitter war of words between BJP and TRS leaders.
Modi is visiting Hyderabad on Saturday to attend two programmes, both on the outskirts of the city. He will visit the International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics (ICRISAT) campus in Patancheru to launch its 50th anniversary celebrations.
Later, he will dedicate to the nation the ‘Statue of Equality’ at a ceremony to be held at Ramanujacharya Ashram at Muchintal. The 216-feet tall statue commemorates the 11th century Bhakti Saint Sri Ramanujacharya.
The Chief Minister is also not likely to share a dais with the Prime Minister at the ashram. Dropping hints to this effect, he visited the asharam on Thursday to participate in Ramanuja Sahasrabdi Samaroh celebrations and went around the giant statue.
KCR’s move to not to receive the Prime Minister is significant in view of his scathing attack on the latter after presentation of Union Budget 2022-23 in Parliament on Monday.
The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) chief went ballistic while lashing out at the Centre for ignoring all the demands of the state and termed the budget “golmal” and “useless”.
At the same news conference when KCR was asked whether he would receive the Prime Minister, he remarked “it’s automatic. It goes without saying”.
“Whenever the Prime Minister is there in any state, the Chief Minister goes and welcomes. It’s a routine thing. It’s a protocol requirement. Nothing special about it,” he had said.
KCR, however, was evasive when asked if he would be sharing the dais with the PM. The TRS leader had defended his attack on PM. “This is my policy. Even while sitting along with Mr Narendra Modi in his helicopter, I will say the same thing,” he said.
At his two-and-half hour long news conference, KCR had made a bitter attack on Modi, mocking his ‘Gujarat Model’ and the different outfits he chose for elections in different states.
The TRS chief has also announced that he would play a role in national politics to bring a qualitative change in the country as both Congress and BJP have failed to meet the aspirations of people.

KCR finds critic in Cabinet Minister over Constitution Remark!
Telangana Rashtra Samithi chief and Chief Minister of Telangana Kalvakuntla Chandrashekar Rao made many heads turn with his remark to bat for a demand to redraft the Indian Constitution as the existing one is not unable to serve the peoples’ aspirations.
His comments did not go well with many as a few parties have condemned his comments. Breathing fire on the Chief Minister for his comments, protests were held in various parts in connection with the Constitution comments row.
A Cabinet Minister from fellow Telugu state Andhra Pradesh turned critic of KCR on his comments. The Minister asked the Chief Minister, what issues he has with the Indian Constitution that he wants to redraft the entire Constitution.
Andhra Pradesh Education Minister Adimulapu Suresh who held a press meet to unveil the AP SC-ST Gazette Officers Welfare Society Diary had come down severely on CM KCR. The Cabinet Minister raised objections to Chief Minister’s comments.
Calling the comments hindering the self-respect of Dalits, AP Minister said that a few so-called intellectuals want to change the Indian Constitution. He asked what was the issue that had made KCR think about the decision.
Rajamouli, Jr NTR, Ram Charan ready for RRR’s round 2 promotions
The men behind RRR – Rajamouli, Ram Charan, and Jr NTR aggressively promoted the film for 2-3 weeks last December. But sadly their efforts went in vain as the film’s release was postponed in view of the Covid outbreak.

AP Govt’s decision makes Mudragada a Happy Man!
Ex-Minister and noted Kapu leader Mudragada Padmanabham got a major sigh of relief from the old cases that trace back to five years back. As a piece of good news for him, the old cases have been withdrawn and official orders stating the same were also issued.
The Andhra Pradesh government had decided to withdraw the cases that were filed against him in connection with the infamous Tuni railway station case. Canceling all the cases slapped against him, the Jagan Mohan Reddy-led government issued orders. All the cases filed on various leaders have been withdrawn.
Mudragada Padmanabham, who is a happy man now, took the opportunity to thank the government and Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. In a letter, he had thanked the Chief Minister for giving him a big relief.
While thanking the Andhra Pradesh government, Mudragada gave a reason behind not meeting Jagan or previous Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu. Mudragada said that his meeting with the Chief Minister might make people speculate that he is meeting them for getting posts and earning money and that’s why he did not meet them.
The Tuni Railway Station issue was reported in 2016. The protest called by Mudragada to fight for the demand to include Kapus in the Other Backward Class (OBC) category turned violent when people who took part in the protest reportedly attacked the Railway Station and the Ratnachal Express was damaged in the attack.
Raj Kundra transfers massive property to Shilpa Shetty
Businessman Raj Kundra, who was arrested in a pornography case last year and released on bail, now transferred his assets worth Rs 38.5 crore to his wife, Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty. He registered his flats and Juhu home on the actress’ name.
As per reports, the transferred ownership includes five flats on the first floor of the Ocean View Building, along with his home in Juhu. It covers an area of 5,995 square feet and has a total value of Rs 38.5 crore.
According to reports on Zapkey.com, the actress paid a stamp duty of Rs 1.9 crore on the transfer deed. The documents were reportedly registered on January 21, 2022. The transfer of property was valued at the current rate of 65,000 per sq ft.
Recently, Raj Kundra was spotted along with Shilpa Shetty at sister-in-law Shamita Shetty’s birthday party. They left the venue together, hand-in-hand.

YSRCP MLAs hobnob with KCR at Shamshabad
Post bifurcation, there are lot of contentious issues between both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. There are occasions galore when the leaders of both the states fought pitched verbal battles and abused each other. Yet, several YSRCP MLAs it appears have personal relations with Telangana CM KCR.
The cynosure of all eyes at Shamshabad’s Muchintal, where a gigantic statue of Sri Ramanuja is being installed, are two firebrand YSRCP MLAs from Chittoor district. Nagari MLA RK Roja and Chandragiri MLA Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy. Both these MLAs were seen talking in a friendly and animated manner with Telangana CM KCR, who visited Muchintal on Thursday evening.
Usually, KCR is accompanied by his nephew Santosh Kumar or some ministers from his cabinet. But, this time both Roja and Chevireddy accompanied him. In the past too, Roja hosted KCR when he visited Chennai recently, KCR accepted her hospitality.
Similarly, Chevireddy has long time relation with KCR. The relation dates back to the time when Chevireddy was the member of the TTD board. Both the MLAs from Chittoor are quite active in organizing things at Muchintal. Despite the differences between the two states, these leaders continue to enjoy friendly relations.
Aadavaallu Meeku Johaarlu first song is out
Sharwanand’s upcoming film “Aadavaallu Meeku Johaarlu” is all set for its theatrical release on February 25th. The movie team today commenced music promotions by unveiling the first single from the album.
The title song of Aadavaallu Meeku Johaarlu is written by Sreemani and the composer Devi Sri Prasad himself crooned the teasing number. Going by the song, we can observe that Sharwanand is not happy with the women gang in his life as they cause troubles for his marriage. The funny foot tapping number promises an interesting concept in the film.
Aadavaallu Meeku Johaarlu is directed by Kishore Tirumala and produced by Sudhakar Cherukuri under the banner of Sri Lakshmi Venkateswara Cinemas.
Rashmika Mandanna is the female lead. The film also stars Khushbu, Radhika Sarathkumar, Urvashi, Vennela Kishore, Ravi Shankar, Sathya, and Pradeep Rawat in key roles. Sujith Sarang is the cinematographer and Sreekar Prasad is the editor of the film.
