Ready to resign, if Hindupur not made HQ: Balakrishna
It is known that the Andhra Pradesh government, headed by CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, announced new districts in the state for better administration and development. The government issued the notification to carve out 26 new districts from the existing 13.
However, the Jagan government is facing a lot of opposition from several sections of people across the state regarding the formation of new districts.
As per the draft notification issued on January 26, the government has proposed to set up Sri Satyasai district with headquarters at Puttaparthy. However, the people of Hindupur were upset with the government’s decision. They strongly oppose making Puttaparthy as the headquarters ignoring Hindupur, which is the centre of Parliament and the centre of the constituency. Hindupur MLA and actor Nandamuri Balakrishna has also expressed his dissatisfaction over the same.
The Legend actor started mouna deeksha at the Ambedkar statue in the town on Friday. Speaking on the occasion, Balakrishna said that he is ready to resign his MLA post if Hindupur is not declared as the district headquarters. Balayya also criticised Hindupur MP Gorantla Madhav for his silence on the issue.

Harish Shankar’s Twitter war with BVS Ravi
Noted Telugu filmmaker Harish Shankar got into a heated verbal brawl with senior screenwriter BVS Ravi. The duo exchanged harsh words as they belittled each other with this sarcastic remarks.
It all started off when BVS Ravi wrote “The history of democracy for generations tells us that people will be introduced to fall if they begin to display the power given to them to experience.” To which, Harish Shankar replied “Was it to experience?. Then came the round of intense verbal exchange between Harish and Ravi.
Ravi replied “Please try to enjoy the satire. God bless you.” and Harish wrote “When ur explaining satire it isn’t satire any more … getwellsoon.”

ఏపీ ప్రభుత్వంపై ప్రముఖ రచయిత బివిఎస్ రవి వేసిన సెటైర్, దర్శకుడు హరీష్ శంకర్ తో మాటల యుద్దానికి దారి తీయడం ఆసక్తికరంగా మారింది. ఏపీ ప్రభుత్వ తీరుపై రచయిత బీవీఎస్ రవి ట్విట్టర్ లో “అనుభవించమని ఇచ్చిన అధికారాన్ని ప్రదర్శించడం మొదలెడితే ప్రజలు పతనం పరిచయo చేస్తారని తరతరాల ప్రజాస్వామ్య చరిత్ర చెబుతోంది,” అని ట్వీట్ చేసాడు. డైరెక్ట్ గా చెప్పకపోయినా ఇది ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్ ప్రభుత్వ పనితీరుపై సెటైర్ అని చాలా మంది అర్ధం చేసుకున్నారు.

Kishan Reddy’s two big worries in Telagnana
Union Minister G Kishan Reddy is now in a spot of bother. He is increasingly finding that he is being upstaged by the other leaders in the state party. The youth and the cadre have already gone into Bandi Sanjay’s fold. Bandi Sanjay himself is very active in some agitational programmes or the other. As a result, Kishan Reddy is finding himself overshadowed.
With Modi-Shah Combine giving him key tasks like talking to Kashmiri pandits for their resettlement and to coordinate in the North East, he is finding little time for Hyderabad, let alone Telangana. During the weekends, he is occupied by programmes in Hyderabad. As a result, all this is leaving no time for party work. Due to this, he is increasingly getting cut off from the cadres.
Another major problem for him is that Eatala Rajender is making his moves in a mercurial way. Eatala is talking to various dissidents in both the Congress and the TRS. He is trying to bring them in to the party. Also, he is slowly trying to ingratiate himself to the party cadres. In fact, he has attended more party workers training camps than Kishan Reddy could.
Kishan Reddy is now finding that the ground is slipping from beneath his feet and both Sanjay and Eatala are occupying the ground that he is losing. To add insult to injury, he was told by the party national leadership not to put spokes in Sanjay’s work. This effectively means that he is confined to his ministry and his constituency. All these developments are said to be unnerving G Kishan Reddy these days.
