It is not surprising that many singers who turned actors have received critical acclaim. Over time, many musicians have even become better known for their film work over their music.

The latest buzz is that popular playback singer Sid Sriram is all set to make his debut as an actor in Mani Ratnam’s direction. If the reports are believed to be true, the 31-year-old singer will play a lead role in the ace filmmakers’ new film. It is heard that Jayamohan does the writing and screenplay for the movie.

We know that Sid Sriram had made his debut in the industry for singing through the film ‘Kadal’ which was directed by Mani Ratnam. So far, there has been no official confirmation from the singer and director yet.

Sid Sriram is quite a popular and highly paid singer in the Tamil and Telugu music industry, as his voice has a separate fan base. If the news about the singer’s acting debut is true, then, it will be a feast for his fans as he can a stronghold in both fields, dominating music charts and movie theatres.

Ram Charan is a busy man now. He is currently filming for RC15 in Chennai. He will be collaborating with Gautam Tinnanuri for his next project RC16.

Charan is also set to collaborate with Sukumar and Prashanth Neel for his forthcoming projects which are yet to be announced.

Now, the latest updates are suggesting that the director of Shyam Singha Roy, Rahul Sankrityan has narrated a thriller subject to Ram Charan and the latter liked the same.

Charan has apparently asked Rahul to develop the full script and then approach him. Rahul is fully occupied with the same now. If he manages to impress Charan with his script, the project might materialize.

But the Ram Charan – Rahul project is only a distant possibility. It will not materialize in the near future.

YSRC celebrates Praja Sankalpa Yatra milestone

VIJAYAWADA: Marking the completion of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s Praja Sankalpa Yatra on this day three years ago at Ichchapuram in Srikakulam district, YSRC leaders celebrated the occasion across the State on Sunday recalling the moments of past, the promises made by the YSRC chief during his yatra and those fulfilled since the inception of the government.

Speaking at the event held at the party’s central office, Minister for Endowments Vellampalli Srinivas said the Chief Minister created a world record with his Praja Sankalpa Yatra, witnessing the plight of every section in the society. After witnessing their plight, Jagan took administration to the village level and welfare to the doorstep of every beneficiary and provided a transparent governance, he said.

Senior leader Ummareddy Venkateswarlu said Jagan, as Opposition leader, embarked on this padayatra three years ago, meeting lakhs of people across the state and came with just a two-page manifesto. After forming the government, Jagan has fulfilled 95 per cent of his promises in the manifesto and stood by the people in every possible way, even deliver ing welfare schemes during the pandemic crisis.

MLC L Appi Reddy along with members who took part in padayatra and other leaders were present. It was on January 9, 2019 that the 3,468-km Praja Sankalpa Yatra culminated at Ichchapuram. The yatra, which began from YSR Ghat at Idupulapaya on November 6, 2017, covered 134 Assembly segments and 2,516 villages across 13 districts of the state in a span of 341 days. Jagan addressed 124 public meetings and 55 community meetings during the yatra in which he mostly spoke about the failures of the TDP regime and promised to end their people’s hardships after forming the government.

He is continuing Aurangzeb’s hereditary politics in Telangana. Though Assam is very small compared to Telangana, our government has provided one lakh jobs in our State, but here, the unemployment rate is rising,” Sarma said.

He said that except for the Telangana police, no one supports the TRS government. “KCR is worried about and fears the people of Telangana,” said Sarma. BJP leaders and cadres are inspired by people like Sadar Patela and Rani Rudrama Devi who fought for India’s Independence. The Congress is duping the public in the name of Gandhi family while KCR is duping them for his family’s welfare. Bandi Sanjay fought for the cause of employees, but he was sent to jail. LK Advani was also sent to jail during Emergency for the cause of people’s desire for freedom,” said Sarma. Sanjay held the Chief Minister responsible for the eight employees who passed away since GO 317 was introduced.

Dil Raju Betting Big On ‘Rowdy Boys’!

Ace producer Dil Raju is known for his judgment skills. He is considered one of the smartest businessmen in Tollywood as he comes up with quality content within a limited budget. He even doesn’t go overboard while working with star heroes and it is one of the main reasons behind his success as a producer. This star producer is now launching his nephew Ashish Reddy into Tollywood with ‘Rowdy Boys’. ‘Husharu’ fame Sree Harsha is directing this film while Kerala Kutty Anupama Parameswaran is the heroine. Rockstar Devi Sri Prasad composed the music and the songs which came out secured a good response.

This interesting college drama is all set to release this Friday and it is going to clash with the Akkineni family’s ‘Bangarraju’ which is the biggest film this Sankranti season. This is a risk that Dil Raju decided to take with ‘Rowdy Boys’. Also, sources suggest that the ‘Bommarillu’ producer spent over 25 crores on ‘Rowdy Boys’. This is quite high considering the fact that it is a debut hero’s film.

Apparently, Dil Raju wasn’t convinced with a few sequences and went for re-shoots which added up to the budget. Also, Raju planned to have a solo release but went ahead with Sankranti release as big films backed away from January leaving a lot of space this festive season.

The news is that he is so confident on the final product that he is releasing the film on his own in most of the areas. He reportedly doesn’t want any kind of pressure on the distributors. Grapevine suggests that Dil Raju already covered half of the money through non-theatrical business and the rest will depend on the film’s verdict. We need to wait and see how the film fares at the box office.

‘Rowdy Boys’ is a movie that focuses on the group wars between Engineering students and Medical college students. The trailer got a very positive response as it had a lot of promise. Madhie who worked on movies like ‘Srimanthudu’, ‘Run Raja Run’, ‘Mirchi’ and ‘Saaho’ is the cinematographer for this movie while Rajeevan is the production designer.

PRC Issue: Govt Unable to pacify the employees!

Seeing the protests called by the Andhra Pradesh employees union demanding the address of their proposals getting intense, the government had constituted a key committee to look into the matter and make recommendations on how to go ahead with the matter.

The committee led by Andhra Pradesh Chief Secretary Sameer Sharma had made as many as 11 recommendations on the PRC (Pay Revision Commission) issue. Earlier this week, the Andhra Pradesh government invited the employees’ associations and the representatives for a meeting to discuss the issues.

After the meeting, the government announced that the employees will get a fitment of 23 percent, 23.29 percent to be precise. On top of this, the retirement age was also pushed to 62 which used to be 60 earlier.

However, the main twist emerges here. According to the grapevine, the employees who pinned a lot of hopes on the associations and representatives that they will make the government understand their issues and increase the fitment are not happy with what they have done and criticizing them.

The Andhra Pradesh employees associations and the representatives who held talks with the government over the PRC issue are reportedly facing the heat from the employees who are raising their voices against the issue, reports said.

The Secretariat employees are also not happy with the way the Employees’ Association joint action committee (JAC) dealt with the probation issue as the probation declaration is delayed further. They have reportedly launched a protest against this and a marathon was started by the employees.

The employees are reportedly not happy with the issue and are gearing to go the agitation route for one more time as the long-pending issue is not addressed. The JAC members are unable to pacify the employees reportedly and the reports say that the issue had slipped out of the hands.

Earlier, the media reports said that secretariat employees are protesting against the probation declaration issue by leaving the WhatsApp group. Besides this, they are also demanding the address of other demands. We have to wait and see how the issue is addressed effectively without dragging the issue further.

But in the second wave, Bandla Ganesh suffered a serious scenatio. He was admitted to a hospital and his condition was apparently critical back then. He himself revealed that he had a potentially fatal medical condition back then.
