ఇక తాజా సమాచారం ప్రకారం మెగాస్టార్ చిరంజీవి 154వ చిత్రంలో హీరోయిన్ గా శృతిని అప్రోచ్ అయ్యారని తెలుస్తోంది. బాబీ దర్శకత్వంలో తెరకెక్కుతోన్న ఈ చిత్రానికి వాల్తెయిర్ వీరయ్య అనే టైటిల్ ను అనుకుంటున్నారు. శృతి హాసన్ ఇంకా ఈ ప్రాజెక్ట్ సైన్ చేయలేదు కానీ ఆసక్తిగానే ఉందిట.
Sanjay arrest is part of TRS-BJP match-fixing?
The latest arrest of Bharatiya Janata Party Telangana unit president Bandi Sanjay on the charges of violation of Covid-19 restrictions in Karimnagar and the subsequent war of words between the BJP and the Telangana Rashtra Samithi leaders is believed to be part of a well-planned understanding between the two parties.
This is what the Congress party in Telangana suspects. State PCC president A Revanth Reddy is of the view that the strategy of the two parties is to neutralise the Congress for ever in the state.
The reason for Revanth Reddy’s suspicion is said to be a secret survey, supposedly commissioned by TRS president and chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao through his intelligence sources.
The survey report, submitted to KCR a few days ago, is learnt to have revealed that there is a strong anti-incumbency sweeping across the state and surprisingly, if the elections to the state assembly are held now, it will be the Congress and not the BJP, which will emerge victorious.
According to this survey, the Congress is likely to get 75-83 seats in Telangana and in most of the places, the TRS would go to the third place.
This appears to be unbelievable, but if at all it turns out to be correct, it will damage both the TRS and the BJP.
That is the reason why the TRS boss, during his recent visit to New Delhi, finalised a strategy after discussing with the top BJP leadership.
Going by this strategy, the TRS should provoke the BJP on the paddy procurement issue and it would lead to a battle between the two parties.
The BJP would have to take an aggressive stand against the KCR government, so that it should appear as an alternative to the TRS.
The party would get such a hype that people would ignore the Congress and turn towards the BJP.
KCR knows that if the Congress graph goes down much before the elections, it is easy to tackle the BJP.
That is precisely why he is using his moles in the Congress including T Jagga Reddy, Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka and others to revolt against Revanth.
“His aim is to see that the people get disgusted with the infighting in the Congress. Since the BJP doesn’t have enough strength to win majority of the seats in Telangana, it will be easier for the TRS to retain power,” an analyst observed.
Suresh Productions acquires Maanaadu remake rights
Maanaadu, starring Silambarasan aka Simbu in the lead role, was an instant hit with the audience and critics alike. The Tamil science fiction action thriller film was written and directed by Venkat Prabhu and produced by Suresh Kamatchi.
The latest update is that Ace producer Suresh Babu of Suresh Productions has bagged the remake rights of Maanaadu. The filmmaker announced on social media that he has acquired the remake and dubbing rights of the film.
His production house released a statement that reads, “Suresh Productions has acquired the official remake rights of the Tamil blockbuster Maanaadu in all Indian languages, along with the theatrical dubbing rights in Telugu.”
Maanaadu revolves around a common man and a police officer, who is trapped in a time loop and forced to live the same day repeatedly. The film received highly positive reviews for Simbu and SJ Suryah’s performance, Venkat Prabhu’s direction and Yuvan Shankar Raja’s background score.
Free, Bandi vows to continue fight against GO 317
HYDERABAD/KARIMNAGAR: After spending three days and two nights at Karimnagar district jail, BJP state president Bandi Sanjay Kumar walked out to a warm welcome by party workers on Wednesday after the Telangana High Court ordered the prisons department to release him. Union Minister of State for Chemicals and Fertilisers Bhagwanth Khuba who waited outside the jail congratulated Sanjay as he came out even as scores of party activists raised slogans in his support.
Sanjay was arrested on Sunday amidst high voltage drama while he was on a deeksha at his office in Karimnagar. He was produced in court the next day, which remanded him to judicial custody for 14 days. The Telangana High Court, after hearing arguments on his bail petition, found fault with the lower court for mechanically passing the remand order and directed the DG of Prisons to set him free forthwith on furnishing a personal bond. After his release from the prison, Sanjay once again hauled the TRS government over the coals for its dictatorial policies.
“Don’t gloat over the fact that you were successful in sending me to jail. I am proud to say that I went to jail for the cause of teachers. In fact, it is the ninth time I have been sent to jail but each time it is for espousing the people’s cause and not because I did something illegal,” he said and vowed to continue his fight until the state government repealed the “highly discriminatory” GO 317 on transfers of teachers and government employees.
Nagarjuna’s comment on ticket issue draws flak
Speaking at Bangarraju release date announcement event yesterday, Nagarjuna made a very interesting comment about the cinema ticket prices issue in Andhra Pradesh.
When asked to reveal his stand on the ticket prices issue, Nagarjuna replied “I don’t want to speak about political topics at film events. I have no problem with the current cinema tickets. My film does not have any problems with the current ticket prices,” Nagarjuna said.
Now, a section of Tollywood followers are calling out Nagarjuna over his convenient comments. “The industry is struggling due to the ticket prices issue. It is unacceptable that Nagarjuna says he has no problem with the whole fiasco.” An angry netizen commented.
Meanwhile, Nagarjuna’s fans are saying what Nag said way his personal opinion and no one has the right to ridicule the same.

Revanth Reddy faces seniors’ ire at Telangana Congress meet
HYDERABAD: Senior Congress leaders openly criticised the manner in which TPCC chief Revanth Reddy was handling disgruntled members in the party, during the PAC (Political Affairs Committee) meeting, held virtually on Wednesday.
The four-hour-long meeting which was chaired by AICC (TS) in charge, Manickam Tagore and convened by Shabbir Ali, witnessed a heated discussion over the matter, as Revanth was accused of failing to take seniors into confidence while planning protests.
Senior leader V Hanumantha Rao was more vocal on the issue, even as Sangareddy MLA T Jagga Reddy, who has been in the limelight for speaking out against Revanth, was present. The issue of former MLC and Adilabad leader K Premsagar Rao, who turned a rebel, was also discussed. Seniors including Damodara Raja Narasimha, Komatireddy brothers (Komatireddy Venkat Reddy & Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy) and CLP leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka were conspicuous by their absence.
Tagore cautioned leaders to adhere to be disciplined and not cross the party line. Revanth, who is in Covid-enforced isolation, asserted that the party would intensify its struggle through various programmes to expose the ruling party’s failure.
Kiran Abbavaram Says Vinaro Bhagyamu Vishnu Katha
GA2 Pictures have made it a habit to set up new projects with young actors. After scoring a hit with Most Eligible Bachelor, the production house is now close to announcing a new project.
As per sources close to GA2 camp, the production house has lined up a new project with talented young actor Kiran Abbavaram.
GA2 has apparently readied a youthful subject and they have signed Kiran Abbavaram for the male lead role the film. This project will apparently be announced with a Pooja ceremony tomorrow 7th January.
It is also said that ‘Vinaro Bhagyamu Vishnu Katha’ is the titles that is in consideration for the film. An off announcement on the same is awaited.
More details about the cast and crew, and the director are likely to be announced tomorrow.
Big but achievable target for Nagarjuna’s Bangarraju
Nagarjuna’s Bangarraju is releasing in theatres on the 14th of January amidst decent expectations. With other biggies like RRR and Radhe Shyam opting out of the Sankranthi race, Bangarraju now has the advantage of being the solo big-ticket film to hit the silver screens this Sankranthi festival season. With so many positives going its way, Bangarraju is raking up big bucks when it comes to the pre-release theatrical business. The film is being sold for highly encouraging prices and the makers appear to have struck gold with the family entertainer.
As per reports, the theatrical rights of Bangarraju are sold for Rs 40 crores in the Telugu states, which is a career-highest number for Nagarjuna. The makers quoted such a whopping amount right at the start and the distributors readily galloped the same. The Nagarjuna – Naga Chaitanya combination factor, the success of Soggade Chinni Nayana, the family entertainer subject, and the more importantly the Sankranthi release slot appear to have worked wonders for the pre-release business of Bangarraju.
The Nagarjuna starrer has quite evidently gotten the big bucks that it wanted from the buyers and this target – Rs 40 crores is going to be a big one for Nagarjuna. If the film manages to garner even a reasonably good word of mouth, it can set the ticket counters ticking this Sankranthi season. The film is riding high on buzz and good word of mouth can work wonders for the same. The 40 crores mark is not going to be an easy one but Bangarraju has the solo release advantage, which could help the cause big time.
Bangarraju is the prequel of Soggade Chinni Nayana and it is riding high on buzz. The film has done pretty impressive pre-release business and the onus is now on the Nagarjuna starrer to make it big at the box office. The film has Nagarjuna, Naga Chaitanya, Krithi Shetty, Ramyakrishna, and others in the lead roles. It is touted to be a proper family entertainer with a unique subject. The makers will be unveiling more promotional material in the days to follow. The film is up for theatrical release on 14th January.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi faced a humiliating incident the other day when his convoy was blocked on the flyover by the farmers. The issue had made the Prime Minister change his plans and ultimately cancel his tour in Punjab ahead of the forthcoming general elections in the state.
Telangana Rashtra Samithi(TRS) Working President and IT Minister K. T. Rama Rao reacted to the issue and took a subtle dig at the issue. KTR who spoke to the media had spoken about the incident and gave his take on the incident.
KTR said that Narendra Modi is an anti-farmer and the incident gives us an insight into where he stands now. Except for him, no previous Prime Ministers were subjected to such treatment. The incident shows the place of Narendra Modi.
Calling BJP a jhumla party, KTR had listed out the promises made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and how he had failed to fulfill the promises. The Cabinet Minister had mentioned the promises made by Modi like water, toilets, electricity connections to everyone by 2022.
KTR said that PM Modi promised to achieve the promises in the country and the premises were not fulfilled in his state Gujarat only. Not achieving the promises in the state shows his failure.
BJP is ‘Bakwas Jumla Party’ and in their rule what they did was hamla with the help of the central agencies CBI, ED, NIA, and others. All they do is hamla when anyone questions them on the way they are functioning, KTR said.
KTR also slammed the Union government on the issues like soaring fuel prices, high unemployment rate, and inflation rate. The Centre should be held responsible for creating situations where many industries were shut.
The BJP always dives into heinous politics and to get votes from people, the leaders create communal issues in the society. The way the BJP leaders address the other leaders is quite questionable, KTR opined.
Countering JP Nadda’s comments against KCR, KTR said Nadda’s mental balance had been lost. In contrast to what JP Nadda said against the Kaleshwaram project, the project is being applauded by one and all, KTR maintained.
Sukumar Planning To Not Make This Mistake Again
Star director Sukumar is enjoying the success of his ‘Pushpa – The Rise’. This rustic action drama has collected huge money and it is still going strong in many areas. It is also releasing on Amazon Prime from 7th January and fans are eager to watch it. Sukumar has celebrated the success of ‘Pushpa’ heavily as he is seen giving parties to directors, industry friends and many others in recent times. The team members recently had another party and looks like it is not going to stop anytime soon.
What makes the success of ‘Pushpa’ even more special is the fact that Sukumar worked till the very last minute on the film. He did not attend the promotions and did not even sleep till 17th December as he was immersed in the post production works. The final product was readied in the eleventh hour and we can see some patchiness in the film at times.
Despite all that Allu Arjun’s brilliant acting and Sukumar’s perfect narration made the film a huge hit. But insiders say that Sukumar is keen on not making the same mistake. He is planning to start shooting for the second part of ‘Pushpa’ from next month and complete the production as early as possible. Sukumar wants to spend enough time on editing which helps in coming up with better quality product. ‘Pushpa – The Rule’ is expected to hit the screens in December 2022. Let us see if Sukumar’s plan works out well or not.
Mythri Movie Makers have bankrolled this project which was released in multiple languages. Sunil, Anasuya and others played key roles. Samantha did a special item song titled ‘Oo Antave Oo Oo Antave’ which became an instant chartbuster. ‘Pushpa – The Rise’ is set in the backdrop of red sanders smuggling and it is released on a pan-Indian scale. Devi Sri Prasad’s songs turned into chartbusters even before the release but his background score drew some criticism. Sukumar proved his directorial capabilities once again with this film though there were complaints about its lengthy runtime. The team set the platform for ‘Pushpa – The Rule’ and it is expected to hit the screens by the end of 2022. Rashmika Mandanna is the heroine while Malayalam star hero Fahadh Faasil will be seen in a negative role.
Will Tollywood make way for Rajamouli’s RRR again?
A lot went into creating a cushioned release plan for RRR. When the makers conveyed their interest in locking early January release, Chiranjeevi’s Acharya which was also eyeing the same slot had to alter the plans and was later pushed to February.
Then, the makers of Bheemla Nayak had to step back at the last minute. All this to give RRR a solo run at the box office.
Now, due to the Covid surge, RRR’s release has been postponed. The film is likely to release in the latter half of 2022 if the Covid effect subsides by then.
But the big question is, will Tollywood biggies have to make way for Rajamouli’s RRR again? With so many big-ticket films likely to postponed, the latter half of 2022 will be jam-packed. So, finding a solo release slot for RRR is not going to be an easy task. The makers have to put their negotiator hats on again to convince other biggies to defer their release plans in order to accomodate RRR.
