The controversy surrounding the movie tickets issue in Andhra Pradesh is still going on. The issue is getting bigger with one or the other making key comments over the issue. Several concerns are being raised as the Pongal season, one of the big release seasons, is fast approaching and big-ticket films are gearing up for the release.
Amid this People’s Star R. Narayan Murthy who recently slammed the Andhra Pradesh government on the tickets issue and expressed his concerns on the impact it would have on the industry as it was already severely hit by the deadly Covid pandemic.
Days after making key comments on the government in connection with the issue, R. Narayana Murthy and a few theatre owners met Andhra Pradesh Cinematography Minister Perni Nani in Machilipatnam on the much-talked-about issue.
With the talks yielding a fruitful outcome, the Minister announced the happy news of letting the theatre owners reopen the establishments. While the permission was granted, the Minister asked the theatre owners to look into the violations within one month.
The fresh development comes after Narayana Murthy made an open appeal to the Andhra Pradesh Government to look into the matter and sort it out at the earliest.
On the other hand, the bigwigs are trying their level best to meet Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy in connection with the issue so that their concerns are placed before him.
It has been widely reported that the undisputed king of Tollywood Megastar Chiranjeevi is making quality efforts in getting an appointment with the Chief Minister. All eyes are on the proposed meeting and the industry has pinned a lot of hopes on the meeting hoping that the issue gets addressed at the earliest.
Looking at the issue from the Tollywood point of view, addressing the issue is the main focus for the industry as the much-awaited big-ticket films are going to hit the theatres for the Pongal season.
Pan-Indian films like SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus RRR and Prabhas starrer Radhe Shyam are slated to have a theatrical release for Pongal. Multi-starrer RRR will start the Pongal season followed by Radhe Shyam.









The stage is entirely set for ‘RRR’ to take the entire nation by storm. Two star heroes Ram Charan and NTR along with Rajamouli have covered the whole country and promoted the film in all the ways possible. They successfully raised the buzz to an all-time high and people cannot wait to watch this film on the big screens. As it is known, this gigantic film is releasing on 7th January 2022 and it is expected to create a lot of records on Day1 despite the Omicron situation.
