For quite some time, there has been buzz about her dating a technician from a prominent Tollywood family. Now, the speculation appears to have gained momentum after she was recently spotted with Kaala Bhairava.
Kaala Bhairava, the elder son of renowned composer M. M. Keeravani, is reportedly in a relationship with Kavya. Industry sources suggest that both families have already given their approval, though there has been no official confirmation yet.
The duo recently attended a book launch event together, and their appearance quickly went viral on social media, further fueling dating rumors.
On the work front, Kaala Bhairava has composed music for several films, while Kavya Kalyanram has impressed audiences with her performances in Masooda, Balagam, and Ustaad.
RGV Plans ‘Syndicate’ Inspired by Aditya Dhar Style

Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma has been consistently praising the Dhurandhar franchise over the past few months. After watching the first installment, he appreciated Aditya Dhar’s narrative style and even predicted that Dhurandhar 2 would shatter records and create a major sensation in Indian cinema. As things stand now, the film appears to be living up to those expectations.
Taking his admiration further, RGV recently announced a new project titled Syndicate, which he says will be inspired by Aditya Dhar’s style of storytelling. Interestingly, Varma revealed that earlier in his career, he made films like Shiva, Satya, and Sarkar drawing inspiration from legendary Hollywood filmmaker Francis Ford Coppola. Now, he intends to take cues from Aditya Dhar’s filmmaking approach.
Adding to the buzz, there is speculation that Aditya Dhar himself might produce a film directed by Ram Gopal Varma under his B62 Studios banner. Interestingly, Dhar is known to admire RGV’s cult classics like Shiva and Satya.
There are also reports that Yami Gautam, Aditya Dhar’s wife, could be part of the project, possibly contributing both as an actor and in a production role. However, there is no official confirmation regarding this collaboration yet.
Pokiri Re-Release Halted Amid Puri Jagannadh Financial Issues

With the growing trend of re-releases performing exceptionally well in theatres, the demand for old blockbusters has surged. Riding on this wave, Superstar Mahesh Babu’s iconic film Pokiri was planned for a grand re-release in May.
Mahesh Babu’s films have consistently seen strong responses during re-releases, leading to high demand for Pokiri’s rights. Director Puri Jagannadh holds the rights to the film, and reports suggest that a US-based party acquired the overseas rights for a hefty price. Meanwhile, domestic deals had already begun progressing.
However, the re-release has now been halted, with Athidi stepping in for release during the same period.
The sudden halt is reportedly linked to financial issues surrounding Liger. Puri Jagannadh still has pending dues to distributors. Although he cleared a portion during Double iSmart and promised to settle the remaining amount post-release, the commitment was not fulfilled.
As a result, a group of distributors, led by Suniel Narang, have decided to block the release of any of Puri Jagannadh’s films until all dues are cleared. This decision has directly impacted Pokiri’s re-release as well.
Adding to the complications, the overseas buyer has reportedly been trying to reach out to Charmme Kaur, but she is said to be unavailable.
With this situation unfolding, it remains to be seen how it will affect Puri Jagannadh’s upcoming project Slumdog, starring Vijay Sethupathi.
Dhurandhar 2 Fans Miss Akshaye Khanna’s Rehman Dakait

Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar: The Revenge is rapidly becoming a cultural phenomenon at the box office, drawing comparisons with Baahubali 2 and Pushpa 2. Since its grand release on March 19, the sequel has shattered numerous records and earned rave reviews from critics and audiences alike.
Ranveer Singh once again delivered a standout performance, while supporting actors Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, Sara Arjun, and Rakesh Bedi impressed with their impeccable portrayals.
Despite the stellar cast, one cult character is sorely missed: ‘Rehman Dakait’, originally played by Akshaye Khanna. His intense and ferocious performance in the first installment left a lasting impression, making audiences feel a void in the sequel.
Rehman Dakait’s style, impromptu dances, and dominating screen presence were major highlights of the first film. While critics praised Akshaye Khanna’s act, the sequel offers only a brief glimpse of his character at the start, leaving viewers disappointed. Many had hoped for at least a glimpse of his backstory or a cameo to recreate that visceral impact.
Even Saumya Tandon, who played his on-screen wife, admitted missing Akshaye Khanna during the making of the sequel, calling his absence one of the toughest parts of the experience. Clearly, audiences deeply felt the void left by Rehman Dakait in Dhurandhar: The Revenge.
Ustaad Bhagat Singh Faces Overseas Box Office Setback

Pawan Kalyan’s Ustaad Bhagat Singh is facing a massive setback at the overseas box office. The film is now projected to end its North America run at around $800K, a surprisingly low figure.
The movie had a modest start, with Premiere + Day 1 collections around $515K. For perspective, Hari Hara Veeramallu had already earned $800K from its Premiere alone and went on to collect around $1.25 million during its full North American run. By comparison, Ustaad Bhagat Singh’s performance is underwhelming.
Pratyangira Cinemas had provided an advance of ₹12 crore for the film across overseas territories, implying a break-even requirement of roughly $3 million. At best, the film may gross around $1.2 million globally, meaning the distributor’s share will be significantly lower.
Since this was an advance deal, Mythri Movie Makers will absorb the loss, but the recovery of funds will likely be delayed, creating a financial strain.
Priyadarshan & Lissy Lakshmi Reunite After 10 Years

A decade after their divorce, filmmaker Priyadarshan and his former wife Lissy Lakshmi have reunited and are now living together again. Although they officially separated in September 2016, the couple has rekindled their relationship, choosing not to remarry.
In a recent interview, Priyadarshan confirmed their reunion, stating that apart from a marriage certificate, they are essentially leading the same life together once more. Sources close to the family revealed that actor Mammootty personally met the couple and expressed his happiness over their reunion. He had recently visited Lissy’s Chennai studio, Le Magic Lantern, for a voice recording related to director Mahesh Narayanan’s upcoming project.
Insiders also mentioned that the couple’s children—actress Kalyani Priyadarshan and Siddharth—played a key role in bringing them back together. The decision to reunite was reportedly made six to eight months ago. Both Priyadarshan and Lissy believe that companionship, friendship, and love hold more value than formal marital status.
The couple had tied the knot in 1990 and shared a long relationship before filing for divorce in 2014, which was finalized in 2016. At the time, Lissy had described the separation as difficult and intense, highlighting the challenges they faced in their marriage.
Ajith Kumar Faces Project Delays Due to High Remuneration Demands

Tamil superstar Ajith Kumar remains one of the biggest names in South Indian cinema, boasting a loyal fan base and a string of successful films. However, recent reports indicate that the actor is facing challenges in signing new projects due to his exceptionally high remuneration demands.
Ajith is reportedly asking for a salary in the range of ₹160–200 crore per film, a figure that has made many producers hesitant. With the film industry currently facing instability, producers are increasingly cautious about managing large budgets and taking financial risks.
A notable example is Mythri Movie Makers, which previously collaborated with Ajith on Good Bad Ugly. Despite interest in working with him again, the makers reportedly stepped back due to his high pay demands. It is not just Telugu producers; even some Tamil producers who approached Ajith for new projects have reconsidered because of his salary expectations, especially in a climate where returns are uncertain.
Another challenge for producers is the decline in non-theatrical revenues from OTT and satellite rights, which previously helped recover significant investments. With these revenue streams now less lucrative, investing heavily in star salaries has become more difficult. Talks of a potential project with a Telugu producer are reportedly on hold, likely due to financial concerns.
Industry sources suggest that Ajith may need to adjust his remuneration if he wants to secure new projects quickly. Otherwise, he may have to wait longer for the right opportunity. The coming months will be crucial in determining the next steps for the superstar.

Chiranjeevi Faces Social Media Backlash, Jana Sena Defends Him
The ongoing social media campaign targeting megastar Chiranjeevi over his comments on Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and Telugu Desam Party president N. Chandrababu Naidu has stirred unease within the Jana Sena Party, headed by his brother and deputy chief minister Pawan Kalyan.
Guntur district Jana Sena Party president Gade Venkateswara Rao alleged on Monday that the criticism was politically motivated, suggesting that TDP supporters might be behind the negative campaign. He accused certain groups of deliberately spreading misinformation and cautioned against provocative commentary.
“Everyone knows who is behind these campaigns. We are maintaining restraint only because of coalition dharma,” Venkateswara Rao said, urging critics to avoid inflammatory remarks.
The controversy arose from Chiranjeevi’s remarks at the Gaddar Awards in Hyderabad, where he suggested that Andhra Pradesh could do more to support the film industry and recommended hosting state-level film award events. Defending Chiranjeevi, Venkateswara Rao emphasized that there was nothing objectionable in referring to Andhra Pradesh as a “neighboring state” or offering constructive suggestions for the development of the film sector.
He also reminded critics of the party’s past sacrifices, stating, “When Pawan Kalyan called us to action, we responded and even faced legal cases. Where were these critics then?” While reaffirming commitment to alliance discipline under Pawan Kalyan, he stressed that defamatory campaigns would not be tolerated. “Being in an alliance does not mean we will remain silent on every issue,” he added.
