The biopic on former CPI MLA Gummadi Narsaiah was officially launched with a grand muhurtham ceremony held at Palvancha, marking the beginning of a significant cinematic tribute to one of Telangana’s most respected political leaders. The film is being directed by Parameshwar Hivrale and produced by N. Suresh Reddy under the banner of Pravallika Arts Creations.
The biopic will chronicle the inspiring journey of Gummadi Narsaiah, widely known for his simplicity, integrity, and unwavering commitment to public service. A symbol of humility in politics, Narsaiah earned immense respect in Illandu for standing firmly with the poor and for famously traveling to the Assembly on a bicycle, reflecting his values of honesty and austerity. Kannada superstar Shiva Rajkumar will be seen portraying the legendary leader in the film.
The muhurtham ceremony witnessed the presence of several prominent dignitaries, including Cinematography Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, Kavitha, and Nandini Mallu, wife of Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka. Geetha Shivarajkumar gave the ceremonial first clap, while Minister Komatireddy formally switched on the camera for the inaugural shot. Nandini Mallu handed over the script to the film unit, symbolically launching the project.
Addressing the gathering, director Parameshwar Hivrale said that politics should be viewed not as a profession, but as a responsibility to serve the people who place their trust in their leaders. He stated that Gummadi Narsaiah lived by this very principle, dedicatedly serving the public for nearly two decades without personal gain. Emphasizing the importance of bringing such a meaningful life story to the big screen, the director expressed his gratitude to actor Shiva Rajkumar and producer N. Suresh Reddy for their wholehearted support in bringing this inspiring biopic to life.
