Summer 2027 Gears Up for a Mega Tollywood Box Office Clash

Share

Tollywood has a long-standing tradition of delivering big-ticket blockbusters during the summer season, and early indications suggest that summer 2027 could follow the same trend on an unprecedented scale. Industry buzz, particularly from the Telugu film space, points to a landmark theatrical season packed with high-profile releases and intense box office competition.

Leading the charge is SS Rajamouli’s much-awaited film starring Mahesh Babu, envisioned as a global spectacle. Expected to hit theatres around March 2027, the project carries massive expectations, given Rajamouli’s record of redefining Indian cinema with record-breaking successes.

Another major highlight is Allu Arjun’s next collaboration with director Atlee. Riding on the phenomenal success of Pushpa, this film is reportedly being mounted on a grand scale with strong pan-Indian appeal, making it one of the most anticipated releases of the season.

Prabhas’s Spirit, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, is also targeting a summer 2027 release. Known for its intense action and bold storytelling, the film has already generated substantial hype among fans and trade circles.

Adding further weight to the lineup is NTR’s film with Prashanth Neel, which could also arrive during the same period, subject to production timelines. With such powerful combinations of top stars and celebrated directors, the summer window is shaping up to be a high-stakes clash.

With enormous budgets, pan-Indian ambitions, and some of the biggest names in Indian cinema converging, summer 2027 promises to be a thrilling box office season and a grand cinematic feast for audiences nationwide.

Raja Saab Locked for Jan 9: Prabhas Film Begins Massive Promotions

Share

After facing multiple delays and postponements, the makers of Prabhas’ much-awaited film Raja Saab have finally locked in the release plan. The production house is now fully confident about a January 9 Sankranti release and has firmly stated that there will be no further changes. This confirmation has come as a huge relief to fans, who have been waiting patiently for clarity on the film’s arrival.

What’s adding to the excitement is the scale and planning behind the promotions. The team has mapped out a massive 25-day promotional campaign leading up to the release, signaling their confidence in the film. The first surprise was already unveiled in an unexpected way—specially edited IMAX horror videos played during Akhanda 2 screenings, catching audiences completely off guard and instantly sparking conversation.

Another major highlight on the way is Prabhas’ new “darling” look, which is set to be revealed soon. The glimpse is already generating curiosity across fan circles and social media. In addition, the makers have lined up a special promotional series titled Legacy of Rajasaab, designed to gradually build intrigue around the film’s world and story.

Director Maruthi and Prabhas are said to be working in close coordination, ensuring that every promotional update adds fresh value rather than feeling repetitive or rushed. Instead of releasing everything at once, the team is following a slow-burn strategy, unveiling one element at a time to keep the buzz alive and sustained.

Sources also suggest that several surprises are still being kept under wraps and will be revealed closer to the release. After completing Baahubali promotions in Japan, Prabhas is expected to return to Hyderabad and immediately dive into Raja Saab promotions. A series of interviews, fan interactions, and large-scale public engagements are reportedly planned.

With such an intense and well-structured buildup, expectations are soaring. The biggest question now is whether Raja Saab can challenge or even surpass Prabhas’ own Baahubali records. While the answer will only be known after release, one thing is clear—the excitement surrounding Raja Saab is already on another level.

Trump Gold Card Visa: Why the $5 Million US Residency Plan May Not Benefit Indians

Share

After tightening immigration policies and narrowing visa categories, US President Donald Trump has reportedly introduced a new proposal known as the Trump Gold Card, which would allow wealthy foreign nationals to obtain long-term US residency by paying a fee of $5 million.

The proposal has sparked interest among global investors, including many from India. However, its real-world impact is expected to be limited. Marketed as a premium immigration pathway, the Gold Card is aimed at ultra-wealthy individuals seeking residency through a significant financial contribution. While the idea appears attractive on paper, the practical challenges are considerable—particularly for Indian applicants.

For Indians, the most significant obstacle remains the long-standing backlog in the US immigration system. Even if a new investment-based route is introduced, demand is likely to be extremely high. Countries such as India and China already face prolonged waiting periods across most employment- and investment-based visa categories. As a result, Indian applicants could still be subject to lengthy delays despite meeting the financial criteria.

Affordability is another major concern. The proposed investment threshold is expected to be exceptionally high, placing it beyond the reach of most Indian professionals and business owners. Consequently, traditional pathways such as the H-1B work visa or existing EB investment visa categories are likely to remain more practical and accessible options for the majority of Indian aspirants.

Ashika Ranganath’s Effortless New Look Is Turning Heads

Share

Ashika Ranganath is quietly drawing attention, both on and off screen. The actress will soon be seen alongside Ravi Teja in Bharatha Mahasayulaku Wignyapthi, and with the song Bella Bella already creating a buzz, eyes are firmly on her next move.

In her latest set of photographs, Ashika proves that less truly can be more. Shot by a window with natural sunlight doing most of the work, she keeps things refreshingly simple — a plain white tank top, blue jeans, and her hair left loose. No heavy styling, no forced glamour. Just an effortless, clean look that feels modern and real.

The mood is calm yet confident. There’s a sense of ease in her posture and expressions, as if she simply paused for a moment rather than posed for the camera. The soft light, relaxed framing, and natural expressions give the photos an intimate, almost personal feel. In an era dominated by high-gloss visuals, this understated simplicity stands out.

On the professional front too, Ashika seems to be entering a promising phase. With Bharatha Mahasayulaku Wignyapthi set for a January 14 release, she’s stepping forward at just the right time — backed by growing buzz, quiet confidence, and a screen presence that lingers.

Harish Shankar: Ustaad Bhagat Singh Is Not a Remake, Pawan Kalyan Never Caused Delays

Share

Ever since Pawan Kalyan’s Ustaad Bhagat Singh was announced, speculation has been rife that director Harish Shankar was once again attempting a remake, similar to their blockbuster collaboration Gabbar Singh. Industry buzz suggested the film was inspired by Thalapathy Vijay’s Theri, while its prolonged delay was widely attributed to Pawan Kalyan’s political commitments and packed film schedule.

Putting an end to all rumours, Harish Shankar clarified during the launch of the film’s first single on Thursday evening that Ustaad Bhagat Singh is not a remake. He firmly stated that Pawan Kalyan was never the reason for the delay and instead credited the actor for his extraordinary dedication to the project.

The director revealed that Pawan Kalyan often shot for 18–20 hours a day, even while handling his political responsibilities. He added that the actor fully supported the film’s progress and ensured the shoot moved at a brisk pace once it resumed.

Harish Shankar also opened up about the film’s creative journey. Initially, he planned a classy college-based film, unlike the mass entertainer Gabbar Singh. However, considering Pawan Kalyan’s evolving lineup, he later attempted a remake project, which eventually fell through due to multiple issues, leading to the film being shelved indefinitely.

The COVID-19 pandemic further affected him mentally, the director admitted, pushing him into a phase of depression. It was during this period that he decided to abandon the remake idea and develop a completely fresh script tailored to Pawan Kalyan’s mass appeal.

Once the new script was locked, the film finally went on floors and was completed in a short span, largely due to Pawan Kalyan’s commitment. Harish Shankar noted that even after cabinet meetings and official duties as Deputy Chief Minister, Pawan Kalyan would travel to Hyderabad, shoot till early morning hours, and return to work with minimal rest.

Rajamouli–Suriya: The Missed Blockbusters That Still Matter

Share

Today, SS Rajamouli stands at the very peak of Indian cinema. Baahubali didn’t just become a blockbuster; it altered the perception of Telugu cinema across India and beyond. Scale expanded. Reach multiplied. Expectations reset. Naturally, every leading actor now dreams of collaborating with him.

What many don’t know is that long before this global acclaim, Rajamouli had already set his sights on a major Tamil star — Suriya. Not for one project, but for two of his most defining films: Vikramarkudu and Magadheera.

At that time, however, circumstances didn’t align. Language barriers, scheduling conflicts, and the market realities of the era played their part. In an industry still largely driven by regional boundaries, Rajamouli ultimately chose to move forward with Telugu actors.

The rest is history.

Vikramarkudu went to Ravi Teja and became a cult action classic.
Magadheera launched Ram Charan into superstardom and redefined epic storytelling in Telugu cinema.

Both films were massive successes — iconic in their own right.

Yet, within film circles, a quiet “what if” has lingered for years. Had Suriya taken on those roles, many believe his career trajectory might have shifted dramatically — earlier pan-Indian recognition, a broader market, and perhaps an entirely new phase at a crucial point in his journey.

What stands out most is Suriya’s attitude toward it all.

Despite the missed opportunity, he has never shut the door on Rajamouli. In fact, he has openly said he would be willing to work with the filmmaker without conditions — even in a small role. Not ambition speaking, but genuine respect for the craft and the storyteller.

Now, years later, with Rajamouli at the height of his powers and Suriya continuing to push boundaries with content-driven cinema, fans can’t help but wonder:

Will this long-discussed collaboration finally become reality?

And if it does — it certainly won’t arrive quietly.

Mowgli Marks a Turning Point for Roshan Kanakala

Share

Sometimes, all it takes is one film to change an actor’s trajectory. Telugu cinema has seen it happen repeatedly — Vijay Deverakonda with Arjun Reddy, Siddu Jonnalagadda with DJ Tillu. Now, a similar conversation is beginning around Roshan Kanakala.

Roshan made his lead debut with Bubblegum, a film that brought him recognition. But Mowgli feels like a more defining moment. Released to encouraging word-of-mouth, the film is steadily finding its audience, with many believing it could be the breakthrough Roshan has been waiting for.

Directed by Sandeep Raj, Mowgli generated interest even before release due to its unusual forest backdrop and emotionally driven narrative. Speaking at a recent press meet in Hyderabad, Roshan described the film as a “very honest love story.” The plot revolves around a young man willing to cross boundaries for the woman he loves, with the central conflict arising from a character intriguingly named Christopher Nolan. That clash, Roshan said, propels the story forward.

The film blends forest visuals, action, emotion, and light humour in a natural flow. Roshan highlighted the pre-interval and interval sequences as particularly gripping, while noting that the climax leaves a lasting impact on audiences. Shooting in forest locations was challenging but transformative. He admitted that the rawness of that life affected him deeply, to the point where returning to the city felt unfamiliar. “For a while, it didn’t feel like my world anymore,” he said with a smile.

Cinema, Roshan added, has always been part of his upbringing, and he continues to seek guidance from his father whenever needed. With Mowgli gaining momentum, he has already moved on to his next phase. Roshan confirmed that he has signed two new projects — one an intense love story and the other a light-hearted romantic comedy. Official announcements are expected soon.

For Roshan Kanakala, Mowgli doesn’t feel like sudden noise or hype. It feels like a quiet shift — and often, that’s exactly how a new chapter truly begins.

Chiranjeevi–Anil Ravipudi’s Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu Locked for Sankranti Release

Share

Megastar Chiranjeevi has ignited massive buzz with the chart-topping songs Meesala Pilla and Sasirekha from his much-anticipated mass-and-family entertainer, Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu. Presented by blockbuster director Anil Ravipudi, the film promises to showcase Chiranjeevi’s trademark swag, style, mass appeal, and comic timing in a refreshing, never-seen-before avatar.

Adding to the excitement, Victory Venkatesh will be seen in an extended cameo, making the film even more special. The second half is said to be a visual and massy feast, especially for fans of the two legendary stars.

The makers have officially announced that the film will hit theatres on January 12, perfectly timed to capitalise on the Sankranti festive season. With the entire shoot wrapped up, post-production work is currently progressing at full speed.

Chiranjeevi is particularly excited about the project, as it marks his return to the family entertainer genre after a brief gap. Director Anil Ravipudi has reportedly blended all the essential commercial elements—humour, emotion, mass moments, and style—in his signature storytelling format.

A newly released poster featuring a super-stylish and swag-filled Chiranjeevi has further amplified expectations. Fans are thrilled to see the Megastar in such a fresh and fashionable look, something that has been missing from his recent outings. Anil Ravipudi has once again proven his flair in presenting Chiru in a vibrant and youthful manner on the big screen.

Produced on a lavish scale by Sahu Garapati and Sushmita Konidela, the makers are highly confident that the film will emerge as a major blockbuster. Nayanthara plays the female lead in this complete entertainer.

With strong pre-release buzz, festive timing, and the combined star power of Chiranjeevi and Venkatesh, Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu looks poised to shatter box office records this Sankranti.

Ajith Kumar’s Malaysia Selfies Spark Fresh Buzz Around AK64

Share

Ajith Kumar may be in Malaysia focused on his racing commitments, but that hasn’t stopped him from setting social media ablaze. At the Sepang International Circuit during the Asian Le Mans Series, where he is competing in the LMP3 category, the actor was spotted in a relaxed and cheerful mood—on and off the track.

The first moment that caught fans’ attention was a casual selfie Ajith clicked with Silambarasan TR (Simbu). The photo spread rapidly online, instantly shifting focus from lap times to star power. Simbu’s visible excitement mirrored the mood of fans, who couldn’t get enough of the unexpected crossover between racing and cinema.

Soon after, the buzz doubled when actress Sreeleela was also seen taking a selfie with Ajith at the circuit. What made the moment even more intriguing was the presence of director Aadhik Ravichandran, who is widely tipped to helm Ajith’s 64th film, tentatively titled AK64. For fans, the trio being spotted together didn’t feel coincidental—it felt like a quiet hint of things taking shape.

That single selfie was enough to reignite speculation around AK64’s casting. Sreeleela has already been linked to the project, and this meeting has only added fuel to the rumours. While no official announcements have been made, Aadhik Ravichandran has hinted that the film will be a full-scale action entertainer, leading many to believe that discussions may already be underway behind the scenes.

Screenshots, zoomed-in frames, and endless reposts continue to dominate timelines, with fans eagerly decoding every detail. Amid all the chatter, what stands out most is Ajith Kumar himself. Whether on a film set or a racing circuit, he remains remarkably grounded. Reports from Sepang suggest he patiently interacted with fans, posed for photos, shared smiles, and moved on without any fuss—once again proving why his off-screen persona is as admired as his on-screen presence.

From Zanjeer to Rajamouli: Priyanka Chopra’s Full-Circle Telugu Journey

Share

Priyanka Chopra Jonas first stepped into Telugu cinema in 2013 with Zanjeer, starring Ram Charan. More than a decade later, she is set to return in a far grander avatar with Varanasi, a high-profile collaboration with superstar Mahesh Babu and master filmmaker SS Rajamouli, slated for a 2026 release. True to her global star status, Priyanka has already begun promoting the film, keeping fans buzzing with every appearance and update.

However, Priyanka’s influence extends well beyond acting. Since launching her production banner, Purple Pebble Pictures, in 2016, she has steadily built a reputation for backing content-driven cinema across languages and formats. The company has produced films, television projects, and advertisements, often spotlighting fresh talent and unconventional narratives. In 2025, she is co-producing English-language films The Bluff and Anuja, while her Hindi productions include acclaimed titles like The Sky Is Pink, known for its emotional depth and sincerity.

Reflecting on her journey during a recent interaction, Priyanka spoke candidly about the early years of her career. “When I started, I had no understanding of which films to choose. I said yes to everything because at 20, all I wanted was to work,” she shared. “I missed birthdays and precious time with my father during his last days. Twenty years of relentless hard work brought me here.”

Opening up about balancing her dual roles, she added, “Wearing two hats isn’t easy. Sometimes it feels like my brain is split in two. As an actress, I challenge myself with action, comedy, and drama. As a producer, my focus is on new directors and stories that truly move people. I want to give opportunities to voices that might otherwise go unheard.”

With Varanasi on the horizon and Purple Pebble Pictures continuing to champion meaningful storytelling, Priyanka Chopra Jonas is proving that her power in cinema is just as formidable behind the camera as it is on screen—across Hollywood, Bollywood, and Telugu cinema alike.

Faria Abdullah’s BTS Glimpse from Gurram Paapi Reddy Sparks Intrigue

Share

Sometimes, a single behind-the-scenes image can create more impact than an entire teaser—and Faria Abdullah’s latest BTS glimpse from Gurram Paapi Reddy proves exactly that.

Unveiled from a special song sequence, the image is instantly arresting. At first glance, it may remind some of Faria’s ethereal Kalki vibe, but a closer look reveals something far more intense and layered. There’s weight in the mood, a quiet drama that lingers.

Positioned firmly at the centre of the frame, Faria exudes calm authority. Draped in a radiant gold ensemble that dominates the visual palette, she is crowned with an ornate, goddess-like headpiece that elevates the look from glamorous to commanding. Surrounding her, dancers lean in close, forming an almost ritualistic composition. There are no smiles or exaggerated poses—only restrained energy and controlled tension.

The background amplifies the atmosphere. Warm lighting, drifting smoke, and deep shadows work together to create a sense of anticipation, like the stillness before a storm. This doesn’t resemble a conventional special song designed purely for spectacle. There’s intent here—perhaps even a darker undercurrent waiting to surface once the music begins.

This BTS tease aligns seamlessly with Gurram Paapi Reddy’s offbeat sensibility. Promising a blend of crime, humour, and chaos, the film boasts a quirky narrative and a strong ensemble cast featuring Naresh Agastya, Brahmanandam, and Yogi Babu. If this glimpse is any indication, Faria Abdullah’s role is set to add both mystery and fire to the film—making the wait all the more compelling.
