Former Kiwi player Chris Cairns declared paralysed due to stroke

Former Kiwis player Chris Cairns who underwent a heart operation recently was declared paralysed by the doctors. His family members confirmed the same in a statement.

According to the doctors, Chris Cairns developed a stroke while he was undergoing surgery. The stroke had led to paralysis in his legs. The former player will take up rehabilitation sessions soon.

In the statement issued by the family members said that the family and the former player had returned to Canberra from Sydney where the surgery was performed.

Chris Cairns’s family members have thanked the doctors for their efforts and they have also thanked the public for not hindering the privacy of the player in this regard.

The former player was accused of being involved in match fixing during the peaks of his career. This resulted in him having a distance with the game. He was regarded as one of the best players at that time.

Chris Cairns had represented New Zealand in 62 Test matches. He recorded the best figures both with the ball and bat back then.

Sridevi Soda Center, a rustic actioner starring Sudheer Babu in the lead roles released the other day and the makers have been promoting the film aggressively. Interestingly, top celebrities like Mahesh Babu, Prashanth Neel, Rana Daggubati, and others have been promoting the film of late. Last night Mahesh Babu watched a special screening of Sridevi Soda Center and shared his review of the rustic action drama. “#SrideviSodaCenter… a raw and intense film with a hard-hitting climax. Director @Karunafilmmaker comes up with yet another bold film after Palasa 1978. @isudheerbabu is absolutely brilliant!! His finest performance till date.

Today, Prashanth Neel of KGF and Salaar fame took it to Twitter to congratulate the makers of Sridevi Soda Center for the success of the film. “My dear friend @VijayChilla hearing great things about the movie. Congratulations to @Karunafilmmaker and the whole team of #SrideviSodaCenter. @isudheerbabu you are looking fabulous.” Prashanth Neel’s tweet read.

“Sridevi Soda Center is impressive with a strong message @isudheerbabu my man this is you’re best! Anther raw film by @Karunafilmmaker. Enjoy on the big screen,” Rana tweeted the other day.

Other top stars like Sai Dharam Tej and Venkatesh Daggubati promoted the film ahead of its theatrical release. All these social media promotions helped the film in getting off to a decent start at the box office.

Sridevi Soda Center is an actioner based on inter-caste love. The film is set in Godavari backdrop and it gives an in-depth of idea of the human relations in the area. The film has Sudheer Babu, Aanandhi, Naresh, Raghu Babu and others in important roles. Karuna Kumar, who shot to fame with Palasa helmed the Sudheer Babu starrer. Vijay Chilla and Shashi Devireddy produced Sridevi Soda Center under 70 MM Entertainments banner. Mani Sharma composed the music for the actioner and Shamdutt handled the cinematography. The film released on 27th August.

KTR mirrors TRS members’ statements

The members of the TRS have been saying for a few days that TPCC new Chief, Revanth Reddy, represents Chandrababu Naidu really, and not the Congress party. They said that Revanth became the TPCC Chief because of the influence that Naidu has with the Congress high command. Minister Mallareddy even used questionable language recently, in the matter, and now, KTR has defended all of these statements and actions, which is surprising everyone.

KTR mirrored the sentiment of Revanth representing Naidu and said that everyone knows who Revanth is working for. Speaking on the matter, during the meeting held where he directed the programs to be conducted on the occasion of the twentieth anniversary of the founding of the TRS party, KTR asked why there’s a huge ruckus surrounding the Dalita and Girijan Dandora in Gajwel, which Revanth is talking a lot about. On the other hand, TRS members have said that they have been very patient so far, but that they won’t do so, considering the statements that Revanth is making on the TRS.

TRS members have also said that they would obstruct the Gajwel meeting, to which Revanth responded by warning them that they would cross every obstacle and conduct their meeting. Congress MLA Seetakka, in the meantime, said that they wouldn’t agree if KTR is made the CM, and said that she is unlike Kavitha, who is in the US, not bothered about her brother, whereas, she has bindings beyond parties and politics.

Veteran actor and former politician Kota Srinivasa Rao made sensational comments against Chief Ministers of the Telugu states. He spoke about the current political situation in both states and said the CMs are doing nothing for their people.

He said that a person will become a leader only if people use their vote. “Public can make a leader. But they should know who they are voting for. Voting for a wrong person will make them pay for their own mistakes,” he said.

Kota also said that CM KCR was handed over a peeled banana and Jagan was asked to make a plate out of leaves. However, Kota Srinivasa Rao did not want to comment on Jagan Mohan Reddy’s performance in the AP. But he indirectly said that Jagan is acting asleep.

Kota Srinivasa Rao was once a key figure in Vijayawada politics. During the Vajpayee regime, he contested and won the Vijayawada East constituency as a BJP candidate from 1999 to 2004. Although he has not been active in direct politics since then, he has a reputation as a BJP figure.

Trivikram – More Than A Writer For Pawan Kalyan’s Bheemla Nayak

There is no denying the fact that Pawan Kalyan shares a very close bonding with Trivikram. The latter is directly involved with almost all of Pawan Kalyan’s project. In fact he was the one who set up Vakeel Saab. He asked Dil Raju to acquire the rights of Pink, saying Pawan Kalan is interested in remaking it in Telugu. Also, Trivirkam orchestrated the first meeting between Pawan Kalyan and Venu Sriram, the director of Vakeel Saab. Now, Trivikram is an integral part of Pawan’s upcoming film, Bheemla Nayak as well. He has penned the dialogues and screenplay for the Pawan Kalyan and Rana starrer, which happens to be the Telugu remake of Ayyappanum Koshiyum. The latest we hear is that Trivikram is much more than just a writer for Bheemla Nayak.

Given the fact that Trivikram shares a very close rapport with Pawan Kalyan and also Sithara Entertainments, who are bankrolling Bheemla Nayak, he is the one who is calling the shot regarding every aspect of the film. The director Sagar K Chandra is indeed having a say about the creative part, but Trivikram is enjoying a whole lot of grip on the project. He is even planning the promotional campaign of the film. He is the one suggested the idea of releasing the first audio single from the album on Pawan Kalyan’birthday – 2nd September. Also, Trivirkam had a say in the casting as well. He suggested Nithya Menon for the project. The makers then acted accordingly and bought her on board for the project. She was signed to play the female lead in the film. She will be playing Pawan’s wife character in the film.

There are rumors that Trivikram shot Pawan Kalyan’s introduction scene as well. But there is not affirmative update on the same. It appears to be that Trivirkram is very much associated with Bheemla Nayak. With his upcoming directorial, SSMB28 only to commence towards the end of November, Trivirkram has way too much time to spare and he is utilizing the same for Bheemla Nayak now. It is heard that Sithara Entertainments are payingTrivikram big bucks for his contribution towards the project

Allu Arjun is venturing into pan-India market with Pushpa, an intense forest-based actioner directed by Sukumar. He is putting in his cent percent efforts for the big-budget action thriller. The actor even underwent a major makeover as he grew long hair and build a chiselled physique for his role in the film. Mythri Movie Makers, who are funding the project had recently announced that the Allu Arjun starrer will be releasing in theaters this Christmas season. It is heard that Sukumar and Allu Arjun are planning to wrap up the entire shoot by the end of October in order to ensure Christmas release for the film.

At a time when biggies like RRR, KGF 2, and others are altering their release plans and postponing the release dates, Allu Arjun is said to have taken a daring decision of sorts. He wants the makers to stick to Christmas release plan. At a time when the makers of other biggies are scratching their heads about release windows, Allu Arjun is persistent about Christmas release. He doesn’t care two hoots about the restrained theatrical revenues, which are an aftermath of the Covid second wave. If Pushpa does make it to theaters this Christmas season, it could very well be the first true pan-India film to release in theaters post the Covid second wave. With a positive word of mouth and good reviews, the Allu Arjun starrer can set the box office on fire as cinemgoers too will be craving for a big cinema experience. Allu Arjun is aware of the same and that is the reason why he wants to stick to Christmas release plan.

More importantly, Allu Arjun is said to be confident about the output churned out by Sukumar. He opines that the film has what it takes to pull audiences to cinema halls. The grandeur and the emotionally engaging story are touted to be the main highlights of the Allu Arjun starrer. In all likelihood, Pushpa: The Rise will be the first pan-India film to release in theaters post the Covid second wave. It remains to be seen if the gamble will pay off and yield rich dividends to the makers or not.

YouTube Premium subscribers can now use iOS picture-in-picture feature

Washington: YouTube has rolled out picture-in-picture support as an experimental feature for its premium subscribers, allowing them to watch a video in a small window when the app is closed.

As per The Verge, in June, YouTube announced it would be bringing picture-in-picture to iOS. Now, it seems the much-demanded feature is finally available, though perhaps for a limited time and only for YouTube Premium subscribers currently.

If you’re a YouTube Premium subscriber, open up a web browser and head to www.youtube.com/new. Scroll down to where “Picture-in-picture on iOS” is listed and click “Try it out.”

You’ll be prompted to sign in to your account. Then, while watching a YouTube video, just navigate away from the app using the home button or by swiping up and picture-in-picture will start. Locking your phone screen while watching PiP will pause the video, but you can resume it via the lock screen media controls.

Now, when you open a video in the YouTube app on your iPhone, if you close the app (either by swiping up or clicking the home button), the video will continue playing in a small window.

You can move that window around and do other things on your phone, and it will continue playing.

YouTube says the feature is “Available until 31 October,” and we’re not sure what happens after this date. Fingers crossed that will be when YouTube — as promised in June — will be bringing the feature to all users, not just paid ones.

Picture-in-picture mode was launched in iOS 14 back in 2020.

Popular actress Ramya Krishna today unveiled the first look of Aishwarya Rajesh from Dev Katta’s Republic. The poster, which introduces her character as Myra Hanson, shows a sketch of the actress in modern attire and a serious look.

The poster carries the words: “We fall. We break. We fail. But then we rise. We heal. We overcome!”

Starring Sai Dharam Tej as the protagonist, Republic will release on October 1 for Gandhi Jayanti weekend. As per reports, the lead actor plays an IAS officer in the film, which is touted to be a political drama.

The film is directed by Deva Katta and is produced jointly by J Pulla Rao and J Bhagawan under the JB Entertainments banner in association with Zee Studios. Jagapati Babu and Ramya Krishna play crucial roles. The film has music by Mani Sharma.
