CJI: Police officers become soft targets after power change
It is common for governments to change every five years, after which new governments are established, and new people come to power. That’s when the power dynamic change and people who have been loyal to the previous governments become targets for the new government. Chief Justice of India, NV Ramana, addressed this issue in the Supreme Court today, saying that police officers are the first to become soft targets when the power dynamics change.
NV Ramana made this statement with respect to the case regarding Gurjinder Pal Singh, a senior IPS officer with the rank of Additional Director General of Chhattisgarh. The government of Chattisgarh recently changed, and ever since then Singh has been a soft target, with ACB raids taking place, and Economic Offenses Wing officials raiding his house. After some documents were found in his trash bin outside his house, a treason case was registered against him.
Singh approached the High Court, without being arrested, but the HC rejected his case, after which he came to the Supreme Court. Ramana took up this case, as he noticed that this would become a political issue. Singh has been suspended for a long time now and has been given four weeks to prove himself innocent in the case.
Prabhas gets trolled for his new look!
Baahubali series made Prabhas Pan-Indian star, and he is coming up with big-budget projects like Radhe Shyam, Salaar, Adipurush and Project K.
The actor, who is currently shooting for Adipurush in Mumbai, was recently spotted in the city. The paparazzi clicked Prabhas when he was on the way to the dance rehearsals. The pictures of the Saaho actor have gone viral on the internet.
As soon as the pictures went viral, the actor has fallen prey to social media trolls. Bollywood audiences had started trolling Prabhas for his weight gain and even commented that he was looking like an uncle in his 50s.
A few said the actor looks awkward without makeup. Anti-fans of the actor are also having a field day with trolls by flashing out all the comedy they can regarding the looks. On the other hand, Prabhas fans are strongly countering the trolls on social media.
However, it is unhealthy to troll an actor or indulge in body shaming. Prabhas has already attained a global image, and these kinds of trolls may not affect the Darling actor.

* ‘చిలసౌ’ విడుదలకంటే ఓ రెండు నెలల ముందే ఈ కథను డైరెక్టర్ దర్శన్ వినిపించారు. ‘నూటొక్క జిల్లాల అందగాడు’ సాగర్.. ప్రొడ్యూసర్ హరీష్ ద్వారా దర్శన్ ను పంపించారు. కాలనీలో జరిగే సంఘటనలు.. తన ఫ్రెండ్ జీవితంలో జరిగిన సంఘటనలు అని కథను నెరేట్ చేశారు. ‘చిలసౌ’ కంటే ముందే ఈ కథను చేస్తాను అని చెప్పాను. కానీ మధ్యలో ‘అల వైకుంఠపురములో’ చేశాను. నాకోసం చాలా వెయిట్ చేశారు. ఈ కథకు నిరంజన్ రెడ్డి అడ్వాన్స్ ఇచ్చి ఉన్నారు. ఆయన బిజీగా ఉండటం వల్ల అది సెట్స్ మీదకు వెళ్లలేదు. మీరు పర్మిషన్ ఇస్తే వింటాను అని నిరంజన్ రెడ్డి గారిని నేను అడిగాను. ఈ కథ నాకైతే బాగుంటుందని ఆయన కూడా చెప్పారు. అలా ఈ సినిమా ముందుకు వచ్చింది. ఈ కథ విన్నప్పుడు చాలా ఫ్రెష్ గా అనిపించింది. ఇంతకు ముందు విన్నట్టు ఎక్కడా అనిపించలేదు. కాంప్లికేటెడ్ కథ అయితే కాదు. ఎంతో రియలిస్టిక్ ఉంటుంది. ఎంటర్టైనింగ్ గానూ ఉంటుంది. కమర్షియల్ టచ్ కూడా ఉంటుంది.
* ఫిబ్రవరి 1న ప్రారంభించి మార్చి 15 వరకు చాలానే పూర్తి చేసేశాం. జూన్ లోనే విడుదల చేద్దామని అనుకున్నాం. మేజర్ పార్ట్ షూటింగ్ అయిపోయింది. కృష్ణా నగర్ లో ఒక్కరోజు షూటింగ్ మాత్రమే మిగిలింది. కానీ లాక్డౌన్ ముగిసిన తరువాత వెళ్తే అక్కడ పరిస్థితి అంతా మారిపోయింది. సినిమా మీదున్న పాజిటివ్ వైబ్ మమ్మల్ని నడిపించింది. ఫస్ట్ లాక్డౌన్ మామూలుగా గడిచింది. అయితే జనవరిలో వద్దామని అనుకున్నాం కానీ.. పోస్ట్ ప్రొడక్షన్ లేట్ అయింది. ఆ తరువాత మళ్లీ సెకండ్ లాక్డౌన్ వచ్చింది. అది చాలా కష్టంగా గడిచింది. ఓటీటీ ఆఫర్లు రావడం ప్రారంభమయ్యాయి. థియేటర్లు ఓపెన్ అవుతాయో లేదో.. జనాలు వస్తారో లేదో అనే అనుమానాలు వచ్చాయి. నిర్మాతలను కూడా ఎక్కువగా ఒత్తిడి పెట్టలేం. వాళ్లు కూడా సినిమాను నమ్మి.. థియేటర్లోనే చూడాల్సిన సినిమా అని వెయిట్ చేశారు. పోస్ట్ థియేట్రికల్ రిలీజ్ ఆఫర్ తోనే నిర్మాతలు సేఫ్ అయ్యారు. అందుకే మేం కూడా విడుదలకు సిద్దమయ్యాం.
* సినిమా సక్సెస్ మీద నాకు నమ్మకం ఉంది. ఇప్పటి వరకు చేసిన సినిమాల్లో ఇదే బెస్ట్ వర్క్. ఈ సినిమాను దాదాపు 50 మందికి చూపించాం. అందరూ బాగా ఉందని అన్నారు. డిజిటల్ ఆఫర్ ఇచ్చిన వారు కూడా సినిమాను చూసే తీసుకున్నారు. కొన్ని సీన్స్ గుర్తుండిపోయాయని అందరూ అన్నారు. ఈ చిత్రంలో ప్రతీ ఒక్క క్యారెక్టర్ కు ప్రాముఖ్యత ఉంటుంది. మా వైపు నుంచి చేయాల్సిందంతా చేశాం. ఇక జనాలు తీర్పు ఇవ్వాలి.
* ముందు తమిళ్ లో టైటిల్ చెప్పారు. ‘నో పార్కింగ్’ అని అనుకున్నాం. కానీ తెలుగులో ఉండాలని.. ‘ఇచ్చట వాహనములు నిలుపరాదు’ అని అనుకున్నాం. అందరూ కూడా టైటిల్ బాగా ఉందని అన్నారు. తెలుగు వచ్చినా రాకపోయినా కూడా అందరికీ అర్థం అవ్వాలని ‘నో పార్కింగ్’ అని ట్యాగ్ లైన్ కూడా పెట్టేశాం.
* కెమెరామెన్ సుకుమారన్ – డైరెక్షన్ దర్శన్ మధ్య సింక్ బాగా కుదిరింది. కెమెరామెన్ ఉన్నారంటే.. దర్శన్ కాస్త ఫ్రీ అవుతారు.
* రుహానీ శర్మ ఓ వర్క్ షాప్ గురించి చెప్పారు. అప్పుడు ముంబైకి వెళ్తే అక్కడ మీనాక్షి చౌదరి కనిపించారు. ఆమె మిస్ ఇండియా అని నాకు తెలీదు. నేను యాక్టర్ అని ఆమెకు కూడా తెలీదు. అయితే అక్కడ క్లాస్ లో ఓ టఫ్ సీన్ చేశారు. తెలుగు సినిమాలో చాన్స్ వస్తే చేస్తారా? అని అడిగాను. అలా మీనాక్షి ఈ ప్రాజెక్ట్ లోకి వచ్చారు. ఆమె టాలెంట్ కు కచ్చితంగా బిజీ అవుతుందని అనుకున్నాను. కానీ ఈ మూవీ విడుదల కాకముందే.. తమిళ తెలుగు హిందీలో ఆఫర్లు వచ్చేశాయి.
* నేను ఎప్పుడూ సినిమాలు త్వరగానే పూర్తి చేయాలని అనుకుంటాను. ‘అల వైకుంఠపురములో’ సినిమాకు ఇచ్చిన డేట్స్ వల్ల ఈ మూవీ లేట్ అయింది. ‘అల వైకుంఠపురములో’ ‘IVNR’ రెండు కూడా ఒకే సంవత్సరంలో వస్తాయని అనుకున్నాను. కానీ పాండమిక్ వల్ల అది మిస్ అయింది.
* ఫ్యామిలీ ఫ్రెండ్స్ రిలేషన్ ఇవన్నీ ఎంత ముఖ్యమో ఈ పాండమిక్ వల్ల తెలుసుకున్నాను. ఒత్తిడిగా ఫీలవ్వడం కంటే.. మనం మన వాళ్లతో మనం ప్రేమించే వాళ్లతో ఉన్నామని అనుకోవడం బెటర్. మెడిటేషన్ చేయడం ప్రారంభించాను. పియానో నేర్చుకున్నాను. కుకింగ్ కూడా కొద్దిగా నేర్చుకున్నాను. అలా అని బయటకు వెళ్లకుండా ఇంట్లోనే ఉంటే పిచ్చెక్కుతుంది. అన్నింటిని బ్యాలెన్స్ చేసుకోవాలి అనేది నేర్చుకున్నాను.
* ‘అల వైకుంఠపురములో’ సినిమాను అందరూ చూశారు. తమిళ మళయాలం.. ఓటీటీ శాటిలైట్ ఇలా అందరూ చూశారు. సినిమా నుంచి బయటకు వచ్చిన వారంతా నువ్ గుర్తున్నావ్ అని అన్నారు. అల వైకుంఠపురములో సినిమా షూటింగ్ సమయంలో త్రివిక్రమ్ బన్నీ నుంచి ఎంతో నేర్చుకున్నాను.
* త్రివిక్రమ్ – బన్నీ ఇద్దరి కెమిస్ట్రీ ర్యాపో బాగుంటుంది. ఆయన ఒకటి చెబుతారు.. ఈయన ఇంకోటి యాడ్ చేస్తారు. సీన్లు ఇంప్రూవ్ చేస్తుంటారు. నాకు సరదాగా అనిపిస్తుంటుంది. సెట్ అంతా కూడా సందడిగా ఉంటుంది.
* పెళ్లి కూడా సినిమాలానే నేను ఏదీ ప్లాన్ చేయలేదు. అలాంటి వాళ్లను ఇలాంటి వాళ్లను చేసుకోవాలని అనుకోలేదు. కరెక్ట్ పర్సన్ దొరికితే చేసుకోవాలని అనుకున్నాను. నా ఇంట్లో కూడా పెళ్లి గురించి ఒత్తిడి చేయరు.
* ఈ సినిమా చూసిన ప్రతీ ఒక్కరూ బాగుందని చాలా నవ్వుకున్నామని అన్నారు. ఎంటర్టైనింగ్ గా ఉందని చెప్పారు. చాలా ఓపెన్ అయ్యావని అన్నారు. కామెడీ టైమింగ్ స్పాంటేనిటీ బాగుందని అన్నారు. ఆఫీస్ లో ఎవ్వరూ లేనప్పుడు డ్యాన్స్ చేస్తుంటాను. ఇంత వరకు ఏ సినిమాలోనూ అలా చేయలేదు. ఈ సినిమాలో కొత్త సుశాంత్ కనిపించాడని అన్నారు. అదే బెస్ట్ కాంప్లిమెంట్.
* చాలా కథలు విన్నాను. కానీ ఓ ద్విభాష కథ బాగా నచ్చింది. ఎన్ని విన్నా కూడా మళ్లీ అక్కడికే వెళ్తున్నాను. అది ‘చిలసౌ’ ‘ఇచ్చట వాహనములు నిలుపరాదు’ లకు భిన్నంగా ఉంటుంది. ఇప్పుడే వివరాలేవీ చెప్పలేను.
Govt School students in TN to get quota in professional courses!
Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam(DMK) chief and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin has tabled a sensational bill in the Assembly today that aims at providing reservation for the students of government schools.
The bill proposes to give a quota of 7.5 percent in seats in the professional degree colleges for the students who have studied in the state-run schools across the state.
The quota is applicable for the courses like engineering, agriculture, veterinary, fisheries, law and other professional degree courses. Private colleges, universities, and government aided colleges should provide a reservation of 7.5 percent for the government school students.
The eligibility mentioned by the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin for the reservation is that, he or she should have studied in the state run schools in the state from 6th to 12th.
Addressing the Assembly while introducing the bill, MK Stalin said the bill was brought to provide equal opportunities for the students who go to private and state run schools. He quoted the recommendations of Justice D. Murugesan Commission on the inequalities between the students who study in private and government schools.
No interruptions or obstacles were created by the opposition parties when the bill was tabled in the house. Even the main opposition party AIADMK party didn’t mention any objections.
The bill was moved in the house with the support of all the members in the house by the Assembly Speaker.
MK Stalin, the first time Chief Minister is making sure that he could bring as many Reforms as he could.On the same lines, the government had appointment a committee under the leadership of Justice D. Murugesan to study the differences between the students of government and private schools.
The Committee had filed it’s report to the Tamil Nadu Government after a detailed observations and study on the differences and inequalities between two groups and came up with a few recommendations to provide equal opportunities for all the students.
One main recommendation made by the committee is to provide provisions to set aside a portion of seats to the government school students in professional courses. The government did the same.
Actor Nikhil sharply criticises President Joe Biden
Nikhil Siddharth is one of the few actors in Telugu states who often respond to social issues. The young actor had actively helped the needy and played a good Samaritan amid lockdown.

It is a known fact that the USA Government had called back the troops stationed in Afghanistan and this benefited the insurgents to take control of the country. Many people across the world criticised the US government for making a bad move towards Afghanistan. Now, Nikhil also did the same.
Taking to his Twitter profile, the young actor said the USA abandoned Afghanistan after troubling it for 21 years. He also criticized president Joe Biden for taking lame decisions.

Minister Malla Reddy challenges TPCC chief Revanth
Labour Minister Ch Malla Reddy has challenged TPCC president A Revanth Reddy to quit as MP of Malkajgiri and seek a fresh mandate contesting against him from Malkajgiri Lok Sabha constituency.
Calling Revanth ‘saale and kuthe’, the Minister gave an open challenge and said he would quit politics if the Congress leader wins the by-election.
Malla Reddy, who slapped his thigh and shoulder during his comments, has responded to Revanth’s allegations during the latter’s meeting at Muduchintalapalli in Medchal-Malkajgiri district. In the Rachchabanda programme, the Congress leader termed the Minister as a land grabber.
The Minister reminded that the Central government gave a clean chit to him in the cases against Malla Reddy Group of Educational Institutions. He slammed Revanth for making false allegations over the development of Muduchintalapalli.
It’s a wrap for SS Rajamouli’s RRR shoot
The makers of the much-awaited ‘RRR’ have given a crucial update regarding the shooting of the film. The SS Rajamouli directorial is done with the entire shooting except for a couple of pickup shots.
“And that’s a wrap! Except a couple of pickup shots, we are officially done with the entire shoot of #RRRMovie. Incidentally finished with the same bike shot that we started with on November 19th 2018,” RRR Twitter handle tweeted.
The makers have also revealed that the post-production work is moving at a brisk pace and more updates coming soon. The movie team, recently wrapped up the last shooting schedule in Ukraine, Russia.
‘RRR’ is produced by K V Danayya and will feature Ram Charan as Alluri Seetha Rama Raju and Jr NTR as Komaram Bheem. The film also stars Ajay Devgn and Alia Bhatt in pivotal roles.
The film is being made with a whopping budget of Rs 400 crores. However, the makers have not officially announced the release date yet.
Congress leader Revanth Reddy dares KCR to probe land deals of Labour Minister
HYDERABAD: Demanding inquiry into land deals of Labour Minister Ch Malla Reddy, TPCC chief and Malkajgiri MP A Revanth Reddy on Wednesday alleged that the hospital in Jawaharnagar was standing on the foundations of ‘forged land documents’ on Suraram lakebed. Speaking on the concluding day of two-day Dalita Girijana Deeksha after breaking his fast in Mooduchintalapalli, Revanth, buoyed by the overwhelming response, dared Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao to conduct a probe into his land deals, including the university land.
“Minister has been constructing colleges and hospitals on government lands. Even his brother-in-law Srinivas Reddy has produced forged documents to own land in Gundlapochampally. I am ready to face punishment, in case I am proved wrong (after a free and fair inquiry),” he said.
Taking on KCR directly and referring to him as ‘Cheater of Chintamadaka’ (CM’s native village), Revanth suggested that the former should be punished. Stating that next meeting will be held in KCR’s constituency of Gajwel, Revanth contended the TRS chief was worried of possible defeat in Huzurabad.
“No leader is ready to speak on the issue. Even when KTR held a press conference, no other Minister showed up,” he claimed.
The TPCC chief promised that if Congress comes to power, the Pragathi Bhavan would be transformed into Ambedkar Bahujana Bhavan for the welfare of SCs and STs, from where youth can achieve whatever they want. “If we come to power, whoever may be the CM, the first signature will be on maximum budget share to education of SCs and STs,” he added.
Earlier in the day, after staying in a local SC’s residence overnight, Revanth inquired about the development in Mooduchintalapalli, CM’s adopted village. He said that none of the promises were fulfilled and the claims of development were far from reality in the village.
Announcement: Tuck Jagadish release date tomorrow
Natural star Nani’s Tuck Jagadish, which was set to release in theatres, has opted for a direct digital release due to the effect of the Coronavirus pandemic. However, the film has been in news lately due to the several controversies that surrounded the project.
It was heard that Tuck Jagadish will stream on Amazon Prime from September 10th. This date has come as a shock to the makers of Naga Chaitanya’s Love Story. It was already announced the Sekhar Kammula directorial, which is carrying good expectations, will have a theatrical release on September 10th. This sparked controversy and even the exhibitors targeted Nani for the same.
Today, Nani took to Twitter to share a key update regarding the release of Tuck Jagadish. He tweeted, “Tomorrow”. Interestingly, he has added no text or poster but simply said something is coming tomorrow.
It is worth mentioning that Nani wanted the film to release in theatres and he is not happy with the OTT release. He left the decision to the producers, saying that he will accept their decision. Directed by Shiva Nirvana, Tuck Jagadish is touted to be a family drama.
