Aadi Saikumar’s Shambhala Locks Christmas 2025 Release

Share

Aadi Saikumar is teaming up with director Ugandhar Muni for a new supernatural thriller titled Shambhala. Instead of entering the crowded Dasara race, the makers have opted for a Christmas release on 25 December 2025, ensuring a clear and profitable holiday window.

Even before its release, the film has secured solid pre-release business. According to industry buzz, Aha has acquired the OTT rights, while the Zee Network is said to have bagged the Telugu satellite rights. Although official statements are yet to be made, these reports are widely circulating in trade circles.

By closing these deals early, the producers have significantly reduced their financial risk. Regardless of box-office performance, the team already has a solid revenue foundation. If the film performs well theatrically, it will only add to the already secured earnings.

On the creative front, Shambhala is set in the early 1980s, blending mystery, horror, and a rich period atmosphere to offer a fresh and gripping viewing experience. With its strong pre-release planning and clear revenue strategy, the film is shaping up as more than just another genre attempt — it looks like a calculated commercial venture.

The only unknown factor now is the theatrical response. Even with a safety cushion in place, audience reception remains key. If viewers connect with the supernatural elements and suspenseful narrative, the entire strategy could pay off handsomely for the makers.

Puri Wraps Vijay Sethupathi Film in 4 Months—A Crucial Comeback Move

Share

Tollywood filmmaker Puri Jagannadh has always been known for his dramatic highs and equally dramatic lows. But one defining trait has remained constant throughout his career — every time critics write him off after consecutive debacles, he finds a way to bounce back. Now, after the twin disappointments of Liger and Double iSmart, Puri finds himself at a familiar crossroads once again.

Following a brief break, Puri teamed up with Vijay Sethupathi for a high-octane action entertainer earlier this year. Puri is famous for his lightning-fast filmmaking — completing shoots in a single stretch, even with top-tier actors, a pace unmatched by any South Indian director of his stature.

Staying true to that reputation, Puri has once again pulled off an impressive feat by wrapping Vijay Sethupathi’s film in just four months. The shoot, which began in July, has now been completed. To mark the occasion, the makers released a short video capturing Sethupathi’s emotion and excitement as the film wrapped.

This project is extremely crucial for Puri, both as a director and producer, given the massive losses incurred by his previous two films. A hit this time is not just desirable — it’s necessary. With a powerhouse performer like Sethupathi leading the cast, expectations are naturally high. The film also features Samyuktha Menon and Tabu in key roles.

Slum Dog and Beggar are the titles currently under consideration. The official title and release date will be announced soon, and the team is gearing up to begin promotions. The film is set for a multi-language release next year, and all eyes are on whether this will mark the much-needed comeback Puri has been chasing.

Balakrishna–Boyapati Screen Akhanda 2 Footage for UP CM Yogi Adityanath

“God of Masses” Nandamuri Balakrishna and director Boyapati Srinu, the duo behind blockbusters like Simha, Legend and the pan-India hit Akhanda, are now returning with the much-anticipated sequel Akhanda 2. With each collaboration turning bigger than the last, expectations for this film are sky-high.

As part of the film’s special promotions, NBK and Boyapati met Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath today. They presented him with the iconic Akhanda Trishulam and screened exclusive footage from the sequel. Since Yogi Adityanath actively promotes Sanatana Dharma, the team felt it was meaningful to show him glimpses of a film deeply rooted in spiritual and cultural themes.

Despite his packed schedule, the CM watched select scenes from Akhanda 2 and reportedly enjoyed them thoroughly. He appreciated the portions he saw and expressed that such films — which highlight Indian culture, tradition, mythology, and divine elements — deserve to be watched by every Indian. He also recommended the film to others.

NBK and the team formally invited him to watch the full film upon release.

Akhanda 2 is set for a grand worldwide release on December 5, in both 2D and 3D formats, promising a massive visual and spiritual spectacle.

Meenakshi Joins Sankranti Race Again with Anaganaga Oka Roju

Share

Meenakshi, who pleasantly surprised audiences last Sankranti with Sankranthiki Vastunnam, is already back in the festival race. This time, she’s pairing up with Naveen Polishetty for Anaganaga Oka Roju. Given how effortlessly she handled her previous festive release, there’s naturally some curiosity about what she’ll bring to the table this year. Sankranti is always a crowded season, and her presence in the lineup once again adds a little extra spark.

She also shared a new set of photos that caught everyone’s attention. Dressed in a bright pink outfit with delicate detailing on the top, paired with simple yet elegant earrings, Meenakshi strikes the perfect balance between stylish and effortless. There’s a calm, unforced vibe in the pictures — as if she wasn’t trying too hard, yet ended up looking striking all the same.

Now, whether Anaganaga Oka Roju brings her the same Sankranti luck is what everyone is quietly watching. Her chemistry with Naveen Polishetty feels promising, and festival audiences generally enjoy lighter, feel-good entertainers. If the film’s story clicks, Meenakshi might very well score another clean Sankranti win.

Allari Naresh at a Career Crossroads After Back-to-Back Failures

Share

There was a time when Allari Naresh stood as one of the most reliable entertainers in Telugu cinema. After Rajendra Prasad’s iconic comedy era began to slow down, it was Naresh who revived the genre with his effortless timing and light-hearted charm. For nearly a decade, his films guaranteed quick laughs and clean entertainment. Movies like Allari, Thotti Gang, Kithakithalu, Bend Apparao RMP, and Sudigadu cemented a comedy space that only he could command.

However, the formula eventually began to wear thin. Sudigadu pushed spoof comedy to its peak, and the films that followed failed to recreate the same magic. Audience tastes shifted, the television comedy boom offered easier alternatives, and Naresh’s brand of humor started to lose steam. Gradually, the craze dipped, forcing him to rethink his path.

His comeback attempt with serious roles brought a fresh spark. Maharshi earned appreciation, but it was Naandi that truly repositioned him as a performer capable of depth and intensity. Many believed this was the beginning of a strong second innings. But the momentum didn’t last. Films like Itlu Maredumilli Prajaneekam, Ugram, Aa Okkati Adakku, and Bachhala Malli either received lukewarm responses or outright failed at the box office. Even his decent supporting act in Naa Saamiranga couldn’t shift his trajectory as a solo lead.

His latest film, 12 A Railway Colony, carried hopes of tapping into the thriller audience. While Naresh delivered an adequate performance, the film opened poorly and collapsed within the first weekend due to weak word of mouth. With another flop added to the stretch, Naresh is now in a challenging and uncertain phase.

Neither comedy nor serious dramas are consistently working for him. His market value has noticeably dipped, and opportunities may shrink further if he doesn’t land the right script soon. At this juncture, only a sharp reinvention or a strongly written character role can offer Naresh the stability and revival his career urgently needs.

Sobhita Dhulipala shared a warm and intimate birthday wish for Naga Chaitanya as he turned 39, and the post quickly began making rounds online.

She posted a soft, romantic picture taken on a dimly lit street, captioned simply: “Happy birthday, lover.” Chay, dressed in a black jacket paired with a kurta–pyjama, stands beside Sobhita, who looks effortlessly elegant in a golden saree topped with a cosy jacket. The moment that captured everyone’s attention was Chaitanya gently zipping up her jacket — a sweet, subtle gesture that felt personal and very “them.” Fans instantly connected with the vibe and reshared the picture across social platforms.

On the work front, Naga Chaitanya is back in action with his upcoming film Vrushakarma. The makers unveiled the first look today, perfectly timed with his birthday, and fans seem genuinely excited. After Thandel, many are hoping Vrushakarma will give Chay another strong and impactful run at the box office.

Sumanth Prabhas, known for the youthful hit Mem Famous, is back with a rustic love story and wholesome entertainer titled Godari Gattupaina. Directed by debutant Subash Chandra and produced by Red Puppet Productions, the film has already sparked interest with its refreshing First Breeze glimpse. Now, the makers have released the first single, “Choodu Choodu.”

Composer Naga Vamshi delivers a soothing, soulful melody layered with rich orchestration that instantly creates a warm, pleasant aura. The visuals enhance the song’s charm, capturing the raw, earthy vibe of the story’s setting. Sumanth Prabhas lights up the screen with his expressive dance moves and infectious energy, making the track visually appealing and musically memorable.

Overall, Choodu Choodu sets a promising tone for the film’s musical promotions, offering an engaging glimpse into the world of Godari Gattupaina.

Don Lee Likely Villain in Prabhas’ Spirit

Share

The pooja ceremony of Spirit, the much-awaited first collaboration between Prabhas and star filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga, took place in Hyderabad with grand fanfare.
The team officially confirmed Prabhas as the lead and Triptii Dimri as his romantic pair. They also reiterated that veteran actress Kanchana, along with Prakash Raj and Vivek Oberoi, will be playing crucial roles.

While many assume Prakash Raj and Vivek Oberoi are the film’s primary antagonists, insiders reveal that the real villain is someone entirely unexpected — an international star.

All signs currently point to South Korean action icon Don Lee making his Indian cinema debut with Spirit. The actor had previously dropped subtle hints on Instagram, though he never named the project outright. Interestingly, the makers chose not to announce his name during today’s event, keeping the mystery intact.

For now, the suspense continues.
Most likely, the team will make an official statement once Don Lee arrives in India to join the shoot.
