Vijay’s Aggressive Comeback at Puducherry Rally

Tamil superstar and TVK chief Thalapathy Vijay, whose public image took a major hit following the tragic Karur stampede that claimed 41 lives, returned to a public stage after nearly two months. The actor-turned-politician conducted a massive rally in Puducherry earlier today, marking his first major outing since the incident.
At the event, Vijay appeared unusually aggressive, taking direct aim at key political forces across Tamil Nadu.
He opened his speech by stating:
“For the Union government, Tamil Nadu is a separate state and Puducherry is a separate UT. But for us, Tamil Nadu and Puducherry are one. I thank the Puducherry government for ensuring full security for this rally.”
Vijay strongly criticized the Union government, accusing it of neglecting Puducherry and failing to fulfill its long-standing demand for statehood. He called for immediate action to grant Puducherry full statehood status, emphasizing that the region deserves better governance and rights.
Turning his focus to Tamil Nadu politics, Vijay launched a fierce attack on the ruling DMK government.
He alleged that the party’s only intention is to “cheat the people of Tamil Nadu rather than administer the state properly.”
Vijay also urged the Tamil Nadu government to learn from Puducherry in terms of administration and responsiveness to public concerns.
The rally marks a significant moment in Vijay’s political journey as he attempts to rebuild his image post-Karur and re-establish his presence in Tamil Nadu politics.
Hardik Pandya Slams Paps for Crossing Line with Mahieka Pics

Star Indian cricketer Hardik Pandya has strongly condemned the paparazzi for “crossing the line” while photographing his girlfriend Mahieka Sharma. Hardik expressed anger that Mahieka was captured from an inappropriate angle, turning a simple moment into “cheap sensationalism.”
In an official statement, Hardik said that while he understands the scrutiny that comes with fame, what happened was unacceptable. “Mahieka was simply walking down a staircase at a Bandra restaurant when paparazzi decided to capture her from an angle no woman deserves to be photographed from. A private moment was turned into cheap sensationalism,” he wrote.
He further stressed the need for dignity and boundaries: “This isn’t about headlines or who clicked what — it’s about basic respect. Women deserve dignity. Everyone deserves boundaries.” Addressing the media, he added, “I respect your hustle, and I always cooperate. But please be a little more mindful. Not everything needs to be captured. Not every angle needs to be taken. Let’s keep some humanity in this game.”
Hardik and Mahieka have reportedly been dating since last year, with the cricketer making their relationship official in October 2025. Mahieka, 24, is a Mumbai-based model. Hardik was previously married to actress Natasha, and the couple divorced in 2024.
Apple, Google team up for seamless Android–iOS switching

Apple and Google have reportedly joined forces to develop a new set of features aimed at enabling seamless switching between Android and iOS devices. According to a report by 9To5Google, this rare collaboration is expected to significantly reduce the friction users currently face when moving between the two mobile ecosystems.
The upcoming features will appear during device setup and are said to support the transfer of apps, photos, messages, and system settings between operating systems. Early traces of this capability have already surfaced in the latest Android Canary beta build for Pixel devices. Similar functionality is also expected to be included in the forthcoming iOS 26 developer beta.
The report also notes that both companies plan to expand the supported data types before the official release, enabling even more comprehensive cross-platform transfers. However, there is no confirmed launch timeline yet. Apple recently rolled out the second release candidate of iOS 26.2, but the new cross-platform migration tools are not part of that update.
For now, users must rely on existing multi-step methods to switch between mobile platforms. Android-to-iOS transitions, for instance, still require Apple’s “Move to iOS” app from the Google Play Store, followed by a guided setup process. Once the new features become available, switching between Android and iOS is expected to become much faster, easier, and far less complicated.

Canada Ends Wage Assessments Under TFWP

Canada has introduced a significant policy shift by ending wage assessments under the Temporary Foreign Worker Program (TFWP). Going forward, all work permit applications will rely on wage data contained within the Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA), streamlining oversight and strengthening compliance.
Under the revised framework, the previous wage assessment requirements attached to the TFWP have been removed. While the program continues to operate, authorities will now process work permit applications strictly through the LMIA-based wage system.
An LMIA is a document Canadian employers may need before hiring a foreign worker, confirming both the need for a temporary employee and the unavailability of a Canadian citizen or permanent resident for the role. A positive LMIA—often called a confirmation letter—allows the employer to proceed with the hiring process.
To obtain an LMIA, employers must apply through Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC). Once approved, the foreign worker can apply for a work permit by submitting the LMIA, its corresponding number, a job offer letter, and an employment contract.
The broader reform comes amid increased scrutiny of the TFWP over alleged misuse and fraud. The Canadian government has emphasized measures that safeguard domestic job opportunities and reduce over-reliance on temporary foreign labour.
Since September 26, 2024, Canada has implemented targeted restrictions, particularly for low-wage streams in metropolitan regions with unemployment rates of 6% or higher. Exceptions exist for certain seasonal and non-seasonal jobs in sectors such as food security, construction, and healthcare.
Additional reforms include reducing the cap on temporary foreign workers to 10% of an employer’s total workforce under the Low-Wage stream, cutting the maximum work duration from two years to one year, shortening LMIA validity from 18 months to six months, and implementing region-specific measures such as temporary pauses in Montreal.
For both employers and workers, the changes reinforce stricter compliance. Employers must secure an LMIA before proceeding, while workers must submit the LMIA number and supporting documents during their work permit application. The overarching goal is to balance labour market needs with fair protections and ensure that Canadian workers remain the priority.
