Rachamallu Targets Sharmila, Backs Jagan in Family Row

Rachamallu Siva Prasad Reddy, a former MLA from the YSR Congress Party, has strongly criticized Y. S. Sharmila for her remarks against her brother Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Reacting to Sharmila calling Jagan a “blot” on the word ‘brother,’ Rachamallu questioned the need to air personal disputes in public. He argued that family matters should have been resolved privately instead of being brought into the open at places like Pulivendula.
He further defended Jagan, stating that agreeing to an equal share of family property reflects his intent. In a controversial remark, Rachamallu even claimed that Y. S. Bharathi is “a thousand times greater” for allegedly supporting such a decision, suggesting that such gestures are uncommon in traditional family setups.
However, this argument has drawn criticism, as property rights for daughters are constitutionally guaranteed, and not a matter of generosity. Observers point out that such statements may be politically motivated, possibly aimed at staying in the good books of both Jagan and Bharathi, while also reflecting the latter’s influence within the party.
At the same time, the dispute between Jagan and Sharmila remains a deeply personal issue. Many believe that only their mother, Y. S. Vijayamma, is in a position to fairly assess the situation. Notably, Vijayamma has openly supported Sharmila in this matter, alleging that injustice was done to her and her children.
Ultimately, while political leaders continue to weigh in, the public appears to understand that this is a private family matter, and external opinions may carry limited significance.
Aditya Dhar Emerges as Top Choice for Tollywood Pan-India Projects

There is currently a noticeable shortage of strong pan-India directors in Tollywood, which explains why stars like Allu Arjun and Jr. NTR are exploring collaborations with filmmakers such as Atlee, Lokesh Kanagaraj, and Nelson Dilipkumar. While established names like S. S. Rajamouli, Sukumar, and Sandeep Reddy Vanga continue to dominate, there is still room for more directors in this space.
Amid this scenario, Bollywood filmmaker Aditya Dhar is emerging as a strong new contender. He is currently in the spotlight after delivering one of the biggest blockbusters in Indian cinema with Dhurandhar, and its sequel Dhurandhar 2, which is registering sensational numbers at the box office.
What’s more interesting is that several top Telugu stars including Mahesh Babu, Ram Charan, and Vijay Deverakonda have openly appreciated the film. This clearly indicates that the film has struck a chord with leading actors in Telugu cinema.
Given this response, the possibility of Aditya Dhar collaborating with a major Telugu star now looks more realistic than ever. Known for his strong storytelling and nationalistic themes, as seen in films like Uri: The Surgical Strike, Aditya brings a distinct narrative style that stands out.
While his films may slightly deviate from core Telugu nativity, his gripping screenplay and emotional depth tend to connect with a wider audience. Another advantage is his controlled filmmaking approach, with minimal reliance on heavy CGI, which helps in maintaining tighter production timelines—something that works in favor of top stars with packed schedules.
If Aditya Dhar can craft a story that blends universal appeal with Telugu sensibilities, a collaboration with a Tollywood superstar could turn into a highly exciting project. The only question now is not “if,” but “when” such a combination will materialize.
Ustaad Bhagat Singh Sees Sharp Day 2 Drop Amid Dhurandhar Wave

Ustaad Bhagat Singh, starring Pawan Kalyan and directed by Harish Shankar, opened with high expectations at the box office.
Following the massive success of They Call Him OG, similar buzz surrounded this film. However, mixed reviews and stiff competition from Dhurandhar: The Revenge in the Telugu states have affected its momentum, particularly from Day 2.
Despite not having preview shows, the film benefited from special ticket pricing and managed a solid ₹34.75 crore net on Day 1 across 4,607 shows in India. However, Day 2 witnessed a sharp drop, with collections falling to ₹7.17 crore net. This brings the two-day total to ₹41.92 crore net, reflecting a steep decline of nearly 80%.
The strong run of Dhurandhar: The Revenge in the Telugu market, even without a complete dubbed release in certain areas, has added further pressure on Ustaad Bhagat Singh. The coming weekdays will be crucial in determining whether the film can stabilize its run.
The upcoming Eid holiday could offer a temporary boost, but it remains to be seen if the film can recover from this early setback.
The film features a notable ensemble cast including Sreeleela, Raashii Khanna, K. S. Ravikumar, R. Parthiban, Gautami, Rao Ramesh, and Satyam Rajesh in key roles.
Meanwhile, the film’s digital rights have been secured by Netflix, with its OTT premiere expected around April 24 in multiple languages.
Prakash Raj Sparks Controversy Over Dhurandhar 2 Praise

Versatile actor Prakash Raj is widely known not just for his powerful performances across multiple languages, but also for frequently landing in controversies due to his outspoken views on sensitive issues. His tendency to comment on public matters often keeps him in the spotlight.
Recently, he sparked debate by criticizing the portrayal of a “forced beef eating” scene in the trailer of The Kerala Story 2, drawing backlash for what many called selective criticism. Even before that issue settled, he stirred fresh controversy with a new social media post.
At a time when Dhurandhar 2 is receiving widespread appreciation, several top Telugu stars like Jr NTR, Allu Arjun, Ram Charan, and Mahesh Babu openly praised the film. Their appreciation was seen as a reflection of the healthy, non-competitive spirit within the industry.
However, Prakash Raj reacted with a cryptic post on X, stating: “Signs of obligations are spreading South too.. #justasking.” His comment was widely interpreted as an indirect dig at these actors, suggesting their praise may not have been entirely genuine.
This remark did not go down well with many, who felt it was unnecessary to question the intent of fellow actors expressing their personal opinions. Critics argue that while Prakash Raj is entitled to his views, such statements only create avoidable controversy.
For an actor of his stature, known for memorable performances, repeated involvement in controversies could prove counterproductive. There are already unconfirmed reports linking his outspoken nature to missed opportunities, including speculation around his exit from Spirit, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga.
While Prakash Raj has long been a vocal critic of Narendra Modi, many believe that balancing personal opinions with professional image is crucial. Otherwise, continued controversies could impact his career trajectory in the long run.

Rajamouli Praises Madhavan, Hails Dhurandhar 2’s Emotional Power
S. S. Rajamouli has heaped praise on Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge, highlighting its emotional depth and grand scale, while giving a special mention to R. Madhavan for his impactful performance.
Taking to social media, Rajamouli appreciated Madhavan for “carrying the helplessness and frustration of a nation” with remarkable intensity, making the audience feel every emotion.
Earlier, the ace director also lauded the film’s overall execution, stating that while he loved Dhurandhar, the sequel surpassed it in both scale and soul. He praised the writing, casting, technical brilliance, music, world-building, and direction, calling them flawless, while emphasizing that the emotional stakes truly elevate the film.
Rajamouli further commended director Aditya Dhar for his vision and courage in delivering a nearly four-hour-long cinematic experience that keeps audiences engaged till the very end.
He also showered praise on Ranveer Singh, calling his performance exceptional, particularly highlighting the emotionally intense sequence with his sister and the gripping climax, where he portrayed dual shades with brilliance.
The Dhurandhar franchise has now emerged as one of the most talked-about cinematic ventures in recent times. The first part created a strong impact with housefull shows across the country, while the sequel, released on March 19, has taken both the box office and social media by storm.
The film features a powerful ensemble cast including Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, Rakesh Bedi, and Sara Arjun, alongside R. Madhavan, further adding to its wide appeal.
