Kriti Shetty Eyes Comeback with Tamil Films

Kriti Shetty, who made a blockbuster debut with Uppena, rode the wave of that success to do nearly a dozen films consecutively. While her first few projects like Shyam Singha Roy and Bangarraju created some buzz, most of her subsequent films turned out to be disasters. The string of flops gradually reduced opportunities for her, and even her film with Sharwanand, Maname, failed to impress, putting her career at greater risk.
While chances in Telugu cinema have dwindled, Kriti has found opportunities in Tamil. She is currently working on Jeanie with Ravi Mohan and L.I.K with Pradeep Ranganathan. Both films are slated for release in December. To establish her career in Tamil cinema, Kriti will need these films to perform well at the box office. Meanwhile, she continues to impress fans with her glamorous photoshoots, creating a buzz on social media.
Despite the challenges, Kriti hasn’t distanced herself from Tollywood, which gave her her first hit. She is reportedly open to any opportunities that come her way. Even though lead heroine roles are scarce, she is ready to perform a special song in a star movie if offered. A special song would perfectly complement the glamorous looks she is showcasing in her current photoshoots.
Kriti is aware that opportunities in the industry don’t always come as expected. She seems to be taking the path as it comes and making the most of it. Fans will now be watching closely to see if she accepts special song offers. Telugu audiences, who once celebrated her as a talented new face after Uppena, have been disappointed by her failures, but she remains eager for even a single chance to prove herself. With L.I.K also having a Telugu release possibility, Kriti might once again get the chance to showcase her talent to her home audience.
Sonam Kapoor Glows in Bold Maternity Style

Sonam Kapoor knows how to make a stylish announcement without any fuss. She recently shared a picture wearing a hot-pink wool suit, looking calm and confident while cradling her baby bump as if it’s the most natural thing in the world.
The suit is classic Sonam—big padded shoulders, a soft curved cut, reminiscent of a vintage royal wardrobe. She kept the caption minimal, simply writing: “MOTHER.” That understated touch made the moment even more special.
The vibrant color, relaxed pose, and her quietly joyful expression perfectly capture her effortless style. Sonam has always embraced bold maternity fashion, and this look adds another memorable chapter. She proves that pregnancy style doesn’t have to be plain or safe—it can still carry attitude and elegance.
On the work front, Sonam was last seen in 2023 with the movie Blind, which failed to impress the audience.

NTR Upcoming Lineup Finalized

Contrary to earlier reports claiming he would begin shooting for Devara 2 in December, those rumours have now been dismissed.
NTR will first allot continuous dates to complete Prashanth Neel’s action film. After that, the plan was to move on to the Sithara–Nelson project, followed by a film with Trivikram Srinivas.
However, the order has now been reshuffled — Trivikram’s film will go on floors first, with Nelson’s film taking place afterward.
Currently, both NTR and Trivikram are occupied with their respective ongoing projects. Once they wrap up their current commitments, they will officially team up.
It is already known that Trivikram has developed a mythological fantasy story based on Kumaraswamy Puranagatha, a project that was initially offered to Allu Arjun before eventually landing in NTR’s lineup.

Trump Backs Foreign Skilled Workers Despite MAGA Pushback

President Donald Trump reignited debate over America’s skilled-worker gap on Wednesday as he openly defended the need for foreign talent—despite pushback from his conservative base. Speaking at the US–Saudi Investment Forum, Trump argued that overseas expertise is vital for building critical industries, insisting that foreign skilled workers are essential to “teach our people” how to manufacture “computer chips and other things.”
His remarks come even as his administration continues tightening H-1B visa regulations, a contrast that has left many MAGA supporters questioning whether he is drifting from his long-standing “America First” agenda. However, the shift is likely to be welcomed by Indian professionals, who represent the largest share of America’s high-skilled immigrant workforce.
Addressing the criticism head-on, Trump explained why foreign labour remains central to his strategy. “You can’t come in, open a massive computer chip factory for billions and billions of dollars like is being done in Arizona, and think you are gonna hire people off an unemployment line to run it. They are gonna have to bring thousands of people with them, and I’m gonna welcome those people,” he said.
The forum gathered top American and Saudi business leaders, including Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang and Elon Musk, highlighting the scale of investment the administration aims to attract into the US semiconductor supply chain.
Expanding on earlier comments about the nation’s shortage of specific technical skills, Trump said foreign workers would be crucial in bridging these gaps. “We are allowing you, if you have to bring people to get those plants open, we want you to do that. We want those people to teach our people—how to make computer chips and how to make other things.”
While continuing to maintain a tough stance on illegal immigration, Trump acknowledged that this position on skilled visas could anger parts of his base. “I may take a little heat. I always take a little heat from my people… I love my conservative friends. I love MAGA. But this is MAGA, and those people are going to teach our people how to make computer chips.”
India Expands Visa-on-Arrival Access for UAE Nationals
India has expanded its Visa-on-Arrival (VoA) facility for UAE nationals, adding Cochin, Calicut and Ahmedabad to the list of eligible entry airports. With this move, the VoA service is now available at nine major airports, complementing the existing access points in New Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Kochi.
The scheme is open exclusively to UAE nationals who have previously held an Indian e-visa or a regular paper visa. Travellers can stay in India for up to 60 days and may enter for tourism, business, conferences or medical purposes. The VoA also permits double entry within the 60-day validity period. Passports must be valid for at least six months, and arriving passengers may be asked to provide proof of funds, accommodation details and confirmed return or onward travel.
The eligibility criteria specifically exclude UAE nationals whose parents or grandparents were born in, or are permanent residents of, Pakistan. The visa fee remains ₹2,000 per passenger—including children—and there is no annual cap on the number of times the facility can be used.
India’s decision to widen the VoA network is aimed at enhancing convenience for inbound travellers and strengthening people-to-people ties, especially amid rising tourism, business and medical travel between India and the UAE.
KTR Faces Prosecution in Formula E Case

Telangana Governor Jishnu Dev Varma has approved the prosecution of former minister and BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) in the Formula E race funds misuse case. The approval comes nearly two months after the state government forwarded the file seeking sanction to proceed against him in the alleged misappropriation of ₹54.88 crore of public funds.
With this nod, the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) is now set to file a charge sheet in the case. Earlier in September, the ACB submitted a detailed report to the government and sought permission to prosecute KTR, senior IAS officer Arvind Kumar, and others involved.
However, action against Arvind Kumar requires clearance from the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) at the central level. It remains to be seen whether the ACB will wait for DoPT’s approval to file a comprehensive charge sheet or proceed with an initial charge sheet naming KTR alone.
The ACB has been probing alleged irregularities in the conduct of the Formula E race in Hyderabad during the previous BRS regime for nearly nine months. Investigators claim KTR received ₹44 crore through an electoral bond from a sponsoring company as a quid pro quo for granting event rights.
A case was officially registered after the Governor’s earlier approval for investigation, based on a complaint from MA&UD Principal Secretary M. Dana Kishore. The complaint stated that unauthorized foreign remittances led to an additional ₹8.06 crore tax burden on the HMDA, and that payments were made during the election Model Code of Conduct without Election Commission approval.
The FIR includes charges under the Prevention of Corruption Act, along with IPC Sections 409 (criminal breach of trust) and 120B (criminal conspiracy). The ACB questioned KTR, Arvind Kumar, and B.L.N. Reddy multiple times as part of the inquiry.
KTR, who has appeared before the ACB four times, has dismissed the case as “bogus.” He acknowledged directing the release of ₹46 crore but maintained that all funds were deposited into official accounts with complete transparency.
Akhanda 2 Trailer Buzz Peaks

We are just two weeks away from the grand release of Nandamuri Balakrishna’s highly awaited Akhanda 2. The makers have released two songs so far, and although both tracks received a decent response, they haven’t boosted the hype to the expected level. Naturally, all eyes are now on the theatrical trailer, which needs to deliver solid impact and elevate the film’s buzz in a big way.
The trailer of Akhanda 2 will be unveiled tomorrow (Nov 21) in Chikballapur, Karnataka. Kannada star Shivaraj Kumar will grace the event as the chief guest. With only 15 days left for release, the trailer must generate massive noise among audiences, reminiscent of the first part’s electrifying rise.
After the songs received a middling response, the makers seem determined to pack the trailer with high-voltage moments to take the hype to the next level. Even Nandamuri fans are eagerly hoping for a powerful “Thandavam” to be unleashed in the trailer.
Meanwhile, there is strong buzz that Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and star hero Allu Arjun may attend the pre-release event. If this combination comes together on one stage, it will undoubtedly push the excitement around Akhanda 2 even higher. An official confirmation on this is expected soon.
Directed by Boyapati Srinu, Akhanda 2 features Aadi Pinisetty, Samyukta, and Harshali Malhotra in key roles, with music composed by Thaman. The film is set for a massive pan-India release on December 5.
