Pooja Hegde Wraps Night Shoot, Prepares for Early Flight

Actress Pooja Hegde recently shared that she had wrapped up a long night shoot and was preparing for an early morning flight back home. Taking to her Instagram Stories, she posted a selfie showing her curled up in a wrap in the backseat of a car, looking understandably tired. Her caption read: “Wednesday 6.46 AM. Night shoots and an extremely early flight later, on my way home and ready to call it a night.” She did not disclose details about the shoot or its location.
Pooja was recently seen in the song “Monica” from the Tamil-language action thriller “Coolie,” directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. The film stars an ensemble cast including Rajinikanth, Nagarjuna, Upendra, Soubin Shahir, Sathyaraj, Shruti Haasan, Reba Monica John, Junior MGR, Monisha Blessy, and Kaali Venkat. Notably, “Coolie” features Sathyaraj and Rajinikanth together after nearly 38 years and marks Rajinikanth’s 171st film. The story revolves around gold smuggling, and director Lokesh Kanagaraj has confirmed that the film is a standalone project, not part of his Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU).
Pooja will next be seen in “Jana Nayagan,” a political action thriller directed by H. Vinoth. Announced officially in September 2024 under the tentative title Thalapathy 69, the film marks Vijay’s 69th lead role and is intended to be his final film before entering politics. “Jana Nayagan” also represents KVN’s first Tamil-language production.
Additionally, Pooja has projects lined up in Bollywood, including “Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai” alongside Varun Dhawan and Mrunal Thakur, showcasing her versatility across industries.

Nara Lokesh Champions Investments to Strengthen Andhra Pradesh

Telugu Desam Party (TDP) General Secretary and Andhra Pradesh Minister for Information Technology and Human Resources Development, Nara Lokesh, is steadily emerging as a prominent leader within both the party and the state government. He has been actively showcasing his leadership capabilities, traveling across the country to attract investments and demonstrate his commitment as a proactive and results-oriented administrator.
Recently, Lokesh has also ventured into writing, contributing columns to business publications that emphasize the importance of attracting investors and companies to Andhra Pradesh. Mahesh Babu-Rajamouli Film Rumored to Be Titled “Varanasi”

Speculation is rife about the upcoming collaboration between Mahesh Babu and SS Rajamouli, with recent reports suggesting that the film may be titled “Varanasi.” The project, which has already stirred immense curiosity, has seen multiple rumored titles, and “Varanasi” is now the latest to surface.
Originally believed to be a jungle adventure, the film’s direction appeared to shift after Rajamouli unveiled a poster featuring Mahesh Babu wearing a pendant adorned with Nandi, Trishul, and Damarukam—symbols closely associated with Lord Shiva. This has fueled speculation that the story may weave in spiritual or mythological elements.
Industry insiders indicate that “Varanasi” could be the final title, with an official announcement potentially coming on November 16. However, Rajamouli’s team has remained tight-lipped, offering no confirmation. Known for selecting titles with universal appeal, Rajamouli often ensures his films resonate across languages and cultures.
While “Varanasi” carries deep cultural and spiritual significance in India, questions remain about whether it aligns with the director’s global release strategy, considering his international ambitions for the project. Meanwhile, reports also suggest the film will feature a folk-style song starring Mahesh Babu and Priyanka Chopra, composed by MM Keeravani, adding a vibrant musical touch to the much-anticipated film.
Karur Tragedy Puts Vijay in Tamil Nadu Political Spotlight

The tragic Karur stampede, which claimed 41 lives, has unexpectedly thrust actor-turned-politician Vijay into the spotlight of Tamil Nadu politics. Predictably, the blame game is underway: the BJP and AIADMK have targeted the ruling DMK, while the DMK, in turn, points fingers at Vijay’s TVK Party.
In the FIR filed by the police, TVK General Secretary N Anand has been named, but Vijay himself remains untouched. Some may question why the party founder is not being held accountable if the General Secretary can be booked. The official explanation is that the case concerns TVK officials who requested permission for the meeting—yet it’s hard to imagine such a request happening without Vijay’s approval.
The underlying reason is likely strategic: the DMK recognizes that taking Vijay into custody would generate massive publicity for the actor, potentially damaging the party’s electoral prospects. By holding lower-ranking leaders responsible while allowing Vijay to remain free, the DMK can redirect public anger towards the tragedy itself rather than create a wave of sympathy for him.
This careful approach contrasts with the political misstep seen in Andhra Pradesh, where YS Jagan’s handling of Chandrababu Naidu’s arrest led to an outpouring of sympathy for the former chief minister. Clearly, the DMK is intent on avoiding a similar political blunder.

Rashmika Denies Kannada Film Ban Rumours

Actress Rashmika Mandanna, one of the most celebrated stars in South Indian cinema and Bollywood, has finally spoken out about the long-circulating rumours that she was “banned” from the Kannada film industry following her breakup with actor Rakshit Shetty.
In a candid interview with Good News Kannada, Rashmika firmly denied the claims, clarifying that she was never banned and continues to maintain cordial ties with the Kannada film fraternity.
“I wasn’t banned at all,” she stated, adding that she recently watched Rishab Shetty’s ‘Kantara: Chapter 1’ and personally congratulated the team. “I didn’t watch it during the first few days after release, but I saw it recently and messaged the team. They replied with a simple ‘thank you’,” she said with a smile.
Addressing the constant speculation around her personal life, Rashmika remarked, “The world doesn’t know what happens behind closed doors. We can’t keep cameras on our private lives. We don’t share personal messages online — people can say what they want, but what matters is feedback about our professional work.”
When asked directly whether Kannada producers had blacklisted her, Rashmika responded light-heartedly, “So far, I have not been banned. So, yeah…”
Emphasising the importance of individuality, she added, “One cannot live based on others’ opinions. As artists, we should focus on our craft, not on public perception.”
Currently, Rashmika is at the peak of her career, with several major projects lined up. She will next be seen in Aditya Sarpotdar’s ‘Thamma’, releasing this Diwali, alongside Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Paresh Rawal, Sathyaraj, and Faisal Malik.
On the personal front, Rashmika is engaged to Vijay Deverakonda after a private ceremony. Reports suggest that the couple may tie the knot in February 2026, though the stars have not yet confirmed the date officially.
KSPCB Shuts Down Bigg Boss Kannada House Over Pollution Violations

In a shocking development, the Karnataka State Pollution Control Board (KSPCB) has issued an immediate closure notice to the Bigg Boss Kannada house located in Bidadi, Bengaluru South. The hit reality show, hosted by Sandalwood superstar Kichcha Sudeep, has been halted due to serious environmental compliance violations.
According to the official notice dated October 6, Vels Studios and Entertainment Private Limited, which operates under the name Jolly Wood Studios and Adventures, failed to adhere to environmental regulations under the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974, and the Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981.
The KSPCB found that the studio had been conducting large-scale production activities without obtaining valid Consent for Establishment and Consent for Operation. As a result, the board swiftly ordered a complete shutdown of operations at the Bidadi premises.
The pollution board has directed the Deputy Commissioner of Ramanagara District, the MD of BESCOM, and local electrical officers to ensure strict enforcement of the closure order.
This unprecedented move marks a significant step by the Karnataka government to enforce environmental accountability within the entertainment industry, even for high-profile productions like Bigg Boss Kannada.
