The members of the YSRCP often propagate widely and proudly that Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy always keeps his word, and makes sure that whatever he says is done by when he promises to get it done. When he first became the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Jagan promised that the construction of the Polavaram project would be completed by June 2021. The intensity with which he said it is still fresh in the minds of people, so much so that the video is currently trending on social media platforms.
Jagan’s body language while promising to get Polavaram done by June 2021 is so fierce that it indirectly asks people to question him if he fails to live up to his words. That was the conviction he had in his tone. June 2021 has now come, and the construction of the Polavaram project hasn’t advanced by even 2% in the last two years.
The state government changed the contractor in the name of saving thousands of crores through reverse tendering. The state government is also in a helpless position right now, given the kind of decisions the Centre took on Polavaram. With that, the government is neither able to ask for money nor is able to complete the project. Given that Polavaram is considered to be the lifeline of Andhra Pradesh, one would expect the state government to behave towards it with much more integrity.

Telangana BJP chief Bandi Sanjay Kumar seeks probe into Sahara PF, ESI building scams
HYDERABAD: Prophesying that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao will be jailed for corruption, BJP State president Bandi Sanjay Kumar said that he will ensure a reinvestigation into the ESI building and Sahara PF scams. He said that his party has a strategy on when to send the CM to Lord Krishna’s birthplace.
In an informal chat with reporters at the State BJP office on Wednesday, Sanjay said, “KCR was a very corrupt when he was the Union Minister of Labour, Employment and Training in the UPA government from 2004 to 2009. There was no other minister who could have competed against him in corruption.”
Stating that his team has been working on the collection of evidence of land encroachments by TRS party leaders by filing RTI applications, Sanjay said that the BJP will build a movement to fight against the government. He also said that former minister Eatela Rajender is likely to join the saffron party in a week.

WhatsApp Chief Will Cathcart, Mark Zuckerberg Confirms Disappearing Mode, More Upcoming Features
WhatsApp has confirmed the rollout of several new features on its platform. This includes a new Disappearing Mode, a new View Once feature, and the anticipated multi-device support. These features were confirmed by none other than Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg and WhatsApp chief Will Cathcart. They divulged this information through a unique WhatsApp chat with a renowned features tracker. Cathcart also offered hope on opening up iOS beta sign-ups and support for iPad devices in the future.
Popular WhatsApp features tracker WABetaInfo was invited into a unique group chat with Cathcart and Zuckerberg. The two executives confirmed in the chat that a new Disappearing Mode feature will be rolled out soon. This will, by default, turn on disappearing messages for all future chats and make the WhatsApp experience more ephemeral. Currently, users can turn on Disappearing Messages in groups and chats individually, but Disappearing Mode will enable it fully across chats and groups in the app.
Zuckerberg and Cathcart also confirmed multi-device support and said that testing for public beta users will roll out in a month or two. Zuckerberg explained that the feature took a while to develop as there were several challenges. For instance, he said, “It’s been a big technical challenge to get all your messages and content to sync.” However, the company has managed to iron out all issues and says that users will soon be able to use same WhatsApp account on multiple devices, without logging out from any of them.

Vivo Y73 was recently spotted on Google Play Console listing hinting at its upcoming launch. Now, a fresh leak claims that the phone will launch in the Indian market “within a week” from now. Key specifications of the Vivo Y73 have also leaked online, alongside a render which gives us a glimpse of the back panel design of the phone along with its rear camera setup. Additionally, an estimated price of the Vivo Y73 smartphone in the Indian market has also been suggested.
Tipster Mukul Sharma (aka @stufflistings) tips that the rumoured Vivo Y73 is expected to be priced in India at around Rs. 20,000. The tipster claims that the phone may launch within a week in India and shared a render alongside key specifications. The phone is seen to have a glass back with a diamond pattern and a blue gradient finish carrying a rectangular camera module. The Vivo Y3 could have three cameras inside the module in a triangular formation, with the large 64-megapixel on top and the two small sensors sitting at the bottom. The power and volume buttons are seen on the phone’s right side. The front design of the phone is not visible in the render, but the phone seems to have a slim form factor.
Drug Controller comes down on Gautam Gambhir, accuses him of unauthorized purchase of Covid medicine
World Cup-winning cricketer, BJP MP Gautam Gambhir suffered a big shock after the Delhi wing of Drug Controller accused him of buying and distributing medicines without required permission.
The Delhi High Court today heard a petition over Gautam Gambhir’s foundation reportedly violating the norms by distributing a vital drug without any license.
During the argument, Delhi Drug Controller has come down severely on the Cricketer-turned-politician and accused him of contravening the provisions of the Drugs and Cosmetics Act.
Adding further, the drug body said, the MP’s Foundation had indulged in procuring, stocking, and distributing Favipiravir drug. The Foundation doesn’t hold the license to supply medical oxygen either, the body said.
The Delhi High Court has adjourned the next hearing to the 29th of July and asked the drug controller to file a status report in this regard.
